I have put over 500 hours in to the PC version of NMS I was there at the dodgy launch all the way through. It’s one I never saw coming to the Switch and was very keen to go through (particularly performance) as everything we had seen before launch looked flawless. You mean cross-platform saves? I'm doubtful. At least based on how things have been with all existing platforms. We have cross-play but not cross-platform saves. The only exception is Microsoft with their GamePass Ultimate subscription which allows NMS cross-save between PC and Xbox consoles.
Cross platforms saves was listed in a sales page once but I'm unsure if its accurate.

Edit it seems its planned for Switch same with Settlements, multiplayer and cross play. This could be old news but its interesting how it list it. I know Amazons listing use to have this to.
So cross save might be possible for current platforms but not Switch at the moment or it'll be a update for later this year or early next year by the wording of it.
I wouldn't say MP or settlements are "planned" for Switch, Sean was very careful in interviews not to promise any future features for Switch. they probably aren't even sure they can do them

what I did see on some footage today: there is connection to ods, you can see featured bases at the anomaly; comm balls from other players are visible. so I would guess you can see other player bases and they can see yours.
that's not the same as multiplayer of course but at lesat there is some sign of other players' presence

not to be all doom and gloom but we REALLY need a difficulty lock
For normal players, the ability to install mods to the general was really helpful to the ship stats.. if this was truly halved to "nerf" this, this'll be rough transitioning..

buy slot, switch to the other inventory type, then switch back, buy next slot
you can click on a different slot to change it
for the multitool I had to re initiate the console again at the space station for every new slot because it wouldn't move

no, the gist is you have more space on tech and cargo, but you lose inventory, so you can't use all techs, meaning you have to change modules all the time for specific things
hg pushes out bugfix patches pretty fast after updates drop
so far the whole inventory rework seems intentional I don't think anything will come out to "fix" it

explaining to new players that they can have 3 of a type of upgrade in Tech and 3 inGeneral but blueprint upgrades dont count towards the 3, only the random ones...is making it easier for new players

You can get wayyyy more now. Ships can get 110 cargo and 99 tech slots, multi tools have 60 slots, and base cargo containers have 50 each

and max 3 tech back then too (if that tech even had 3 upgrades)
for those wondering about exo cargo I just hit 101 slots and still upgrading

I haven't seen much of the update but based on what I have seen it seems like a really bad change. The point of the general inventory is to allow players flexibility of inventory space or sacrificing it for more technology modules. This whole thing means tech adjacency probably isn't that viable anymore. I really hope HG reverts this
