I have a storage unit on my capital ship full of them. If you didn’t already know, a great way to grab these for free is searching for salvageable S tier ships and scrapping them. Gets you expansion augments too!

You can definitely use glyphs to find specific ones but honestly I prefer the roleplay of just taking my time looking for them. Land on a planet, scan for a wreck, fly to it, fix it up, go scrap it. I’d say 1 in 50 has been S class for me but that’s how I made my first 10k nanites, and enough storage augments to max out my main ship.

This little beaut was a salvage find, and I maxed the slots out with the augments from other scrapped ships.

Personally I don’t. Depending what you’re playing on, the native 4K really makes a difference. I’m on an Xbox series x and am always amazed by the image quality.

I enjoy such works, but always wished that there was a note saying "mod" or "edited" or something on the shot itself. I can basically always tell when that's the case, I think, but it seems that would be the most transparent way to go. My $.02.

@radiant grail - i think if there's a border it's a safe bet it's been adjusted/post processed in some way. i try to stick to that (throw a border around it) to indicate that i've fiddled with the levels. now that i know the rules, i may have a bit more fun with the screen grabs than just adjusting curves and/or contrasts.

There are plenty of mods to NMS that affect visuals - some dramatically. Some regular posters here I've talked to mention mods when I ask how they got that effect (to determine if I can find it in the game, myself).

I think that if the screenshot is still recognisably " In game" and the modification is discreet, a little levels/curves to enhance the shot is IMO not the problem. every phone has this function

It's a lovely starship, especially with third person/external view switched on. The animation sometimes glitches causing the two rotating thrusters to become stuck in the down position, but it doesn't last that long.
