you can SPLIT your setups, but just dropping 50 devices and stringing them all together will waste more than it makes

Can't fly to it nor away from it (or them for multiple stars), if you try, you wind up coming back at the planets from another angle. (Though you can get pretty far away and take a long time to fly back... or rewarp to the system far faster.)

You find them on planets . There is no visual cue, you have to either land and look for them with your analysis visor or use your corvette. I think they are a 3 star resource? so if you see another 3 star resource, you want to leave and try another planet pretty much

I built one of my bases near a big pile of them, they respawn frequently so its easy nanites

I get about 8,000 nanites each time i go there

Use your visor on planet and look for golden marker with 3 stars...if it's not curious deposit that planet doesn't have it so go to another planet and repeat. It's like 1 in 3 chance the 3 star marker is curious deposits.

Another way to get a lot of nanites once units are no issue is to buy suspicious technology and arms packets from outlaw stations.

If you're that early in the game your best source of early game nanites is completing fauna scans on planets. Scan all creatures, go to the discovery page, click on fauna, and at the top there will be a glowing circle that says 100%...click on that and you get 250 nanites for each creature scanned so a planet with 6 creatures pays 1,500 and so on.

You don't have to leave the galaxy....or even go very far. Might have to go to another solar system but first check all the planets in the system you're in now.

Hey so if you are spawning in star systems far far away from the planets- too far to see them, how can you fix that? Because aiming for the space station icon and waiting 20 minutes to pulse over to it is more than annoying. It's unplayable.

You go to to the quicksilver bot, you claim an egg, hatch it, see class, if not SSS then you reload the restore point and repeat....over and over and over until SSS. It can take a while...for the 5 that are possible to reroll I spent 5 days of 6-10 hours rerolling. On the first day I got nothing, in the first half hour of the second day I got the first SSS, then got nothing for the rest of 2nd and 3rd day. Then the 4th day was a banger...first half hour got the 2nd SSS, then an hour and a half later I got the 3rd SSS, and 3 hours after that the 4th SSS. Then on the 5th day it tool like six hours to get the final SSS.

Yes. Usually your restore point will be the last time you exited your ship or pilot seat. As long as you don't save over that you are good. If you save after claiming an egg you're stuck with whatever it is.

Any risk of an autosave overwriting the restore point? If so I would do a manual save (Save Point or Save Beacon) before the exit-ship autosave restore point. (In case you need to regress just a bit. That is the reason I have a Save Point in my Corvette... and wear belt and suspenders 😉 )

No. Autosave does not overwrite restore point. If you want more security you can back up your save files outside of the game if you can. So if you screw up or something happens you can restore your previous saves.

Both at same difficulty level? That would be odd. But it is also possible for procgen to be recorded in legacy if for example one of you visited long ago and a later planetary procgen change altered that value. (For example, in my oldest surviving save my version of the weather is perfect, but anyone visiting anew sees it as boiling storms.)

But if you use a small ship(ie not corvette) you can park it right next to the quicksilver bot and you can fairly easily check an egg and reload before the game has the chance to autosave...usually it takes 1 minute from the last time you saved or loaded a save until the game autosaves again. So you can do this for hours and hours without letting the game autosave.

The game starts people off in a system with specific planetary requirements - but it can also adjust the "natural" conditions of that system, by removing high sentinel levels and high weather levels. If you're joining them in the system they began the game in (or the one they go to during the tutorial) then that may cause sentinel levels to be wonky

Or that too. Much more of a pain that. But one I will have to suffer because my main save had already claimed most expedition reward pets before Xeno Arena update and they all suck lol.

Here’s a cool idea that I pray might be doable.
These would be cities. On a planet, a moon, in orbit, it could be anywhere. The one thing is, these cities would be more vertical than horizontal. The rich of the city would live higher up on the terrestrial planets, with the poorer going downwards. If you’re even more broke, you live on an atmosphere less moon. More than that? Up in the void. I feel like it would be a cool way to integrate the markets into smaller areas, with legal markets up higher and the black market stuff down low. These cities could even have themes, mining, economics, luxury, etc. I feel like this could make the universe of the game feel a lot more complex and full of life. Just a suggestion, and I’d love it if people had anything to add here!

Actually, you can look for planets with salvageable scraps, and then use minotaur or other exocrafts to look for them
