Fun fact. If you defeat a pet that is high level, you get way more gene points.

Someone with maxed out pet did the suicide move which registered as "win" for me. I could nearly max out my entire low level team after that battle.

So if you want to help a friend level up their pets, let them win battles against your high level ones

Possibility to do pvp is there but eh.... the game is not made for it. They would definitely not enjoy.

There are niche communities that host pvp events and such but I haven't seen many in a few years.

So it's possible yes but there isn't any progression or rewards tied to it. So you'd be shooting each other just for fun. And in this game the combat is kinda meh so I doubt they'd enjoy it if they are looking for a good pvp experience

You know, out of all the ‘wild animal resources,’ milk and larval cores let you make pretty much every useful buff in the game. They won’t be tier 1, but you should still be able to craft every buff using them, along with common automated crops in your base.

With 21 expeditions, your question is kinda vague. The most recent one took me 3-4 hours if I rushed it, but ~8 hours taking my time and seeing the sights. Others may have been longer. It can depend on your playstyle.
I'm sure there are any number of videos of them out there, though. If you can't get an answer here, maybe look up the one you are intersted in and see how long it has taken in the past.

So I have had only one Xeno Arena battle and got my ass torn up. My max HP/health was 350 or so, the other guy's was 3,500 or so.

Is there a guide someone setup that shows how to upgrade your companion for battle?

I hear that awards for beating other players (I guess others "new" to the arena who I might be able to beat with my weak companion (all slots filled)) are the main (only?) way you can upgrade the power of your companion. Is that the case? I kind wish there had been a little mission to show the way.

I don't fully know what Pokemon is, really, so I have no context here.

Very early in the game's history, there were technically an infinite number of galaxies as theyd keep being generated. This caused save stability issues, so they restricted the generation to 256 galaxies, but for a while after, the game still displayed the next name and core color of the sequence

Yeah I'm going through the story just a little bit each week. Saving it and not trying to rush it since there's only like 3 main quests. I don't want to get to the point where I have no quests lol they keep me playing but, sometimes they feel overwhelming when they stack up xD

You can reload saves to get new moves, they aren't seeded. Save up some mutations for convenience to batch reroll on every save reroll for the moves you want.

There also isnt that many genes that need to be switched for most male mammals to be capable of lactation

Because I did reroll one of my moves and I kind of hated what I got but it's also a lot better than the move before. On my teddy bear pokemon, fittingly named Mr. Pibb I rerolled his triple attack and now it does a attack that's much higher damage. It used to have a three turn cool down on it, we rolling the stat removed the cool down and it made it due about the same damage base as the default move does, but every turn you use it it doubles the damage

There is one move that is completely busted. That move happens to be the one that decreases your accuracy for multiple turns, because literally all you can do is either switch to a new pokémon or pass
