but you don't even have to limit yourself to that shape

thats just one idea

just create your own shape where you can add things to hide

so you make the shape you want while having what you need

sometimes parts look good sticking out or partially sticking out

the cyto reactor or whatever

you gotta practice and experiment

but the main trick to making nice corvettes is hiding the ugly things you need to make it functional

remember you don't need many habs, as its more about the decorative pieces that make it work

the more habs you have, the more decorative pieces you need to blend the shape together

IE. mining into the ground, flattening land, filling in ground etc. Now I have no idea how to get those back. I’m at a space station at a multi tool research tech merchant, but I’m not seeing any of that.

open the multitool inventory, highlight an empty slot, click on it to open the installation menu

find the technology you need and click on it to proceed with installation

For regular mining of plants / rocks to get resources, you need regular Mining Beam (or some special variant of it)

Huh? Some of them actually have a ton of lore if you talk to them inbetween the missions. And after you have finished the quest, they give different rewards for additional, small and optional tasks.

The Overseer hands out a specific type of Artifact with varrying rarity for taking pictures of certain planets for them,

the farmer rewards plant artifacts for bringing them certain plant ressources,

and the scientist as you already know now, rewards nanites for uploading data.

The two Vy‘keen are pretty useless unfortunately. The unit payout from the exocraft technician’s mission is just meh, and the armorer tends to give me shitty multitools. But at least we can sell and buy upgrade modules from/to the technician, has saved me the run to a space station occassionally.

You can build the armorer terminal anywhere - so you can easily view multiple multitools in a system and by moving the terminal around even get different classes

The exotic is fairly rounded in stats.
Living ship uses different materials for recharging stuff.
Sentinel interceptor moves the fastest in a planets atmosphere of all the ships, can feel strange with the way they handle.

Finding a Space Station with a different guild is pain; any tips someone could offer for finding a different or specific one?

in the galaxy map you can see the region of the star sytem you’re in, and the surrounding stars will be in the same region, so you may need to jump aways to get to a system with a different region, which should have a different guild

That is something I wondered about, the grav coil should scramble the sentinels systems, they must have sone serious sheilding

most likely not, game can store only a limited amout of terrain edits for bases

you're always better off using foundation pieces to raise your builds over the terrain shape

or use naturally formed caves or other formations
