You can change the difficulty settings to make it 500 on "restricted" or 250 on "harsh"

It also affects the things that have stack limits by default, but it never feels as extreme

In the entire system

When you “complete” it, you wouldn’t be able to remove that quest.

Yes, there is a wallmounted weapon holder you can place in your base or corvette. They aren't actually stored in the object, using it gives you access to your weapon archive which is more of a cloud storage thing

Kind of? You're probably only doing half the step. Once you get to the monolith you use that to detect the portal

Charts are fine ofc - I like using the Exocraft scanner though - it will locate a monolith specifically, no need for multiple charts

I think it's possible to get the wrong artifact...each race has two and I think there's a chance you get one but the other is required to locate the portal. But one way to make sure you're not short on racial artifacts is to craft a bunch of crate artifacts at a base(at least 30) and loot them before you go portal hunting...you should get at least one of all the race artifacts.

I still haven't found ny vy keen daggers for sale as well despite checking dozens of vy keen systems

I generally get them from traders during pulse jumps

Or you can teleport to them from fleet management menu on your freighter
