Either you have some slight colorblindness or you need to do some color calibration, you can find it in your display settings

I tend to mix up blue and purple though because of how bright all the stars are and the slight bit of color around the edges blending in with the nebulas in the background

You must have got a bad roll because Exotics can have up to 90% shield bonus. The range of their stat bonuses are quite wild and finding one that hits on all three is quite rare so I think that was more an issue with the specific exotic/s you have, not an issue with the ship or game that HG need to touch.

Not really no...at most an exotic comes with 30 cargo slots to start with and costs units to buy while interceptors come with 32-40 cargo slots and are free...so better starting trade ships.

That's not an issue either...damage bonus of up to 75% and hyperdrive bonus of up to 95%...so that's not a ship issue either...you either have bad rolls or bad weapons or lacking upgrades or something.

Sentinel main hyperdrive is 600ly but hyperdrive bonus of only 5-10% but still that doesn't matter much...you will find any economy type and strengths you need within 630ly and you can easily slap some A or S hyperdrive modules on it. You don't need extreme range to trade, you need cargo space to carry all the loot.

My corvette has close to 3,200ly while only using one SC slot...so I think it might be possible for a corvette specialized purely for hyperdrive range with a square SC slot layout to suprpass explorer warp range. But you do kind of rely on blind luck with how good the corvette hyperdrive reactors are so it'd impossible to truly max out a corvette's hyperdrive range.

Yeah, I think it would be close either way...probably within +/-100ly I imagine. Supercharging a +320ly X module brings it to +400ly so another 80ly for two more X modules and whatever a supercharged corvette reactor gets probably about 200ly more and then apply 58% bonus and I'd probably be looking at around 312ly more which would put me barely over 3,500...soo it would probably be short of the explorer's 3,575 but not by much.

you don't have to do anything to unlock it. All you hve to do is find a planet that has salvagabel scrap and dig the parts up.

Focus on upgrading your scanner early and exploration imo scanning all the animals on a planet gives you a big bonis

Starter weapons are fine just don't provoke the sentinels

Hello, I just found your discord, I've been playing the game for about 2 months, and during the last breach expedition, I had to do it and in a few hours, I succeeded at everything.

The problem is, there's an animal I scanned, and I'd like to go back to retrieve it as a companion. I'm traveling from system to system, covering 600 light-years with my corvette But I feel like I'm going to spend days, maybe even weeks, on it.

Does anyone happen to have a teleporter in this area (the system I'm looking for is Hotkine-sutor)?
