Is there any way to prevent corvette tech mods being scrambled around from time to time when swapping between ships?

Alright, well many of the other bugs I can live with and are quite amusing but this one is just annoying. I guess I'll just keep a screenshot of the configuration to make it somewhat easier to arrange them back.

Not using your Corvette for a while and then summoning it will often scramble the tech. And if you change any essential piece of hardware on your Corvette it's prone to scramble it as well.

There were like two other ways that they were scrambling. Before the last patch. Fingers crossed they get the others cleared up soon

Refining any stellar metal (copper, cadmium, emril etc). If you combine those metals with silver or gold you increase your yields of chromatic metal

You can also refine any metal with chromatic metal and it will give you that base metal. You can then put this back into the refiner for more chromatic metal. Creating an infinite source of chromatic metal.

You don't even need the silver or gold for that second recipe

For example

Copper = chromatic metal
Copper+Chromatic metal = copper

And since all the yields are higher than your inputs you end up with an infinite resource loop

For chromatic metal you can also buy them off the merchants that land in space stations

It's when you add them with the chromatic metal that you end up with a higher amount of the base metal then you started with.

But yes you're going to eat all of your cooper and cadmium if you just refine it into chromatic metal. You have to mix it with chromatic metal to grow that. And keep feeding it until you have a larger amount of your base metal

Ok, I take 100 copper, refine 50 to chromatic metal, I have 50 copper and 25 chromatic metal. That means I can take 25 chromatic metal and 25 copper and end up with a total of 75 copper

Trust me, I know your pain.
I haven't been doing random quests, but I thought I could just get a Dreadnaught as my first freighter, so I've been jumping around systems, until I looked it up and learnt that you need to get a "normal" freighter via conventional methods first.
Aka, rescuing from pirates, or just buying it.

Then, once you own a freighter, keep warping to outlaw systems, and you'll get a Dreadnaught encounter eventually.

The fights can be pretty tough, tho, and I may have been "cheating" a little, by using the Iron Vulture (S Class Ship from Expedition Reward) and then the Starborn Phoenix (S Class Ship from... I don't remember, some temporary giveaway thing)

Eitherways, Economy Scanners help out a lot.

As for Starship weapons, get Infra Knife Accelerator and Phase Beam.

After a hiatus, i started again last year, doing expedition redux, etc ***including ***Aquarius. I cannot catch a damned Child of Aquarius. I've caught approx 325 so fish so far. Not using a lure, saving those for the legendaries (and have still caught 8 of them). Any advice?

Find a container, tag it, and fly to it. Then shoot it with your photon cannon. Keep firing till the tag disappears. Tag the next and repeat.

Doing that trick with a corvette will quickly get you more parts than you know what to do with if the planet has a decent scrap spawn rate

And speaking of, is there any kind of design trick to make a corvette not take up so much of my view in third person? There's no zoom button

Classes didn't come into the game until, I believe, NEXT v1.5 in 2018.

I still use a ship I found in v1.03 back in 2016. It had no class when I found it - those ships all became C-class when NEXT landed.

But there was an Explorer's Edition release with a die-cast metal ship statue.

If you do the first glyph sixteen times for the portal glyph it will take you to a system thats about 5k LY from the center which is pretty close

I am still in expedition heading towards the final imprint in the core. On the last jump I defeated pirates and I have an A class Freighter that looks ok. If i accept command can I bring it to my main save ?
