sorry for all the questions but i have a misson where i need to scan for minerals on a specific planet and need to look in the galaxy map for the location but i dont what kind of marker im looking for

Click on the mission in your log menu, make sure it's selected as your tracked mission. Then open galaxy map, at the top of your screen UI should show you which keys you need to press to swich your destination, make sure it's set to "current mission" and you should see a coloured line leading to your mission objective. Just follow it, target system should have mission's icon next to it

Considering the issue with having 2 players with freighters in the same system having 2 personal ones might be a bit buggy.
I had a friend jump into my system with his freighter and our build areas got all messed up when he came aboard mine

I even stressed out about this one because I found that out of the NPC's inside of the freighter hangar, each one has the potential to be the captain/bridge crew, and out of those like 4-5 models there were like 2 I really didn't like. If those ended up on the bridge I probably wouldn't have taken it.

But most people don't worry about this kinda stuff, but I also spent a lot of time hunting for specific looking base NPC's cuz HG removed the function to swap them.

It's really easy to make things more complicated than they need be in this game.

I was today years old when I found out that expedition rewards are locally saved rather than linked server-side. Don't get me wrong, it makes total sense -- but I just assumed due to my history of more competitive-aligned multiplayer titles.

2. there's no competitive element to NMS, you play for your own fun and do things for your own fun

You have only one capitol ship (the one you build a base in), but your fleet can have several smaller ships that do missions for you. You don't pilot them or customize them.

It's all just one capitol ship. But if you find another ship you lake better later on, you can trade for it and port your base over from your old ship to the new one. Other than that, just the one big ship. The rest of the ships are the frigates that do little missions for you while you do other things.

No. Frigates are small ships and you never get to build on them. They're NPCs that work for you. The freighter is your big home-in-space ship.

Freighters are huge, they dwarf all ships, and you can have only one. Frigates are ships you acquire to accompany your freighter and are way smaller, maybe 2-3 times the size of a ship

Bug, unless you count altitude differences, and oceans different biomes. But you can't get a planet that has deserts AND meadows, for example. Sometimes it gets bugged and adds small areas where another terrain generates but it's EXTREMELY rare.

Look into something called Autohotkey, and if you have a programmable game-pad you can use something like this to automate building lots of one thing. by tying it all to one of the keys. It'll keep producing until you hit Esc
