perhaps you're on a dissonant planet? On those everything tends to look kind of purple. It's a different thing from the colour of the system, which you can only see from the galaxy map or the discoveries page

So ive been noticing this for awhile, but to pirate dreadnaughts reset everytime they warp? My crew keeps getting renamed every warp, and the interior landing pads sometimes show my ships, others random npcs.

Looks glitched or modded far above the 100 part limit. Which will make it quite unwieldy when it comes to lining up the ground teleporter where you want it...and a massive pain to navigate the interior with how split everything is. Plus you have parts blocking the view from the cockpit. So it looks cool...but I don't think it's very pleasant to fly or all that functional.

I doubt you can see well in either 1st or 3rd person. The gaps in the ship let you see some terrain but the ship still takes A LOT of screen space...and the immediate underside and front of the cockpit aren't clear either. I think you just aren't very experienced with planet exploration and don't realize how annoying those things will be when you do need to see the ground as you fly over a planet.

There's survival mode which limits your storage, increases prices and reduces availability of resources.

Perma-death which leans even harder into that and if you die you lose your save

There's abandoned mode. In which the universe is lifeless with no npcs. That means no vendors. No NPC traders. No ship sales. Surviving off only what you can scavenge and find in the wild.

Then there's survival/permadeath abandoned. Pretty punishing. All alone with difficulty settings geared to the max. You against the void

Or you can start a normal save and customize your settings as you see fit. And lock those settings in so you can't change them at any point during your gameplay

Besides the changes from RNG changes in newer releases (8 years would be close to first release) I also find there can be severe lag in downloading discovered data. That may be in play here too somehow. You may find your "discovery" goes away if the discovery data download corrects it later. I once renamed a Galactic Hub capital system for awhile that way 😉 "It got better." 😉
