They've never made any suggestion of stopping support for the game anytime soon. On top of that some features that they are implementing in the game now are mechanics they will be implementing in their next game Light No Fire.

Corvettes for example. Is the system they will be using for shipbuilding in that game. Which is why they are very interested in polishing the Corvettes so the system works properly when the next game launches.

It's a massive sandbox and easy to get distracted. I would highly suggest doing your base building, Atlas and Artemis missions as soon as possible. Not only unlock a bunch of essential technology but progress you to the point of unlocking all the star systems as well

The point of a game is to achieve something. Cheating/cheesing it in sort of conflicts with that purpose.

I used to do some cheesing n stuff in Fallout games, but stopped because I realized I dropped the game quickly after unlocking everything that way. It just wasn't fun afterwards.

At the end of the day it's up to you how you interact with a game. But it is sort of... silly to bypass the progression of a game to skip to the end.

Or there's some of us who have been playing this game for so long we choose what we want to grind and what we don't. And that's what's so great about the game. You can play exactly how you want because the devs have given us the tools to customize your playthrough as you see fit.

From personal experience in the past, getting that much at the start of a game allows you to start buying a bunch of the stuff that the game has been dangling infront of your face the entire time. As a new player, getting that much money feels great tbh.

for me when it comes to weapons i just prefer using carbon as a recharge instead of making ammo

I havent had to make ammo for ages

So I end up with over a stack in nearly every inventory

I think theres more than 4 stacks in my storage

Sometimes ive even tried burning through ammo using things like the pulse spitter and still ending up with more than I used at the end

There is multiplayer, and pvp, the latter we recommend turning off

This game has no DRM or anti-cheat so you might come across people who have modded 99999 damage weapons, turning off PVP means that they cannot hurt you in any way

Then again, coming across people is very rare, and when you do meet someone usually they are quite friendly, because of the rarity of finding someone
