When I'm hunting for purple stars I keep the first color blind setting in accessibility options turned on. It causes the purple ones to shine brightly and remove the nebulas that make it hard to distinguish them from the blues

for corvette's there is auto pilot in the quick menu but only really works if the ship knows the waypoint where you're going; sadly not a feature for the normal starships
