The main issue I have with corvette cockpits is how they all attach slightly differently

I actually do like the design of the ambassador cockpit because it is very much the sort youd want for a ship made for exploring, with such a clear view that even placing it towards the back of the ship wont block much of it. Its making the curves mesh with the rest that I wish were easier

Not the answer you were after but focus on finding EM instead, they aren't always outside of the 300u base boundaries, but even that can be solved with the 50u parts bypass.

Solar and battery with time will become the biggest pain in the ass to manage. Unless you added a ton of them, they will eventually run out if juice until next sunrise.

for one, any colliding planet where both of the planet's centers are inside one of the planets is safe. you fall for a few minutes, spin around the center, and can then jump back up

for collisions where both of the centers are outside of the other's radius and one isn't dead, there won't be a bias for either one of the planets and you'll likely end up in between them if anything.

yeah glass is the opposite of shadow, because glass is portal yes warp no, while shadow is warp yes portal no. think of it as one star split into two, you can only portal to one and warp to the other

That doesn't sound right, it is an endgame feature and unlocked galaxy wide.
Galaxy type will tell how easy is to find paradise planets and alike, also, some ships style are locked to galaxy but I do not know how true this bit is, purple system isn't true
