Ehhh... ok so it's not really a server, it's more like... the game is within a "Galaxy", which has HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of solar systems. A system has multiple planets. The core loop of the game is exploring the galaxy, warping from system to system (using a warp map) to explore planets. When you're in space, you can only fly in systems, visiting the planets (usually 3-5) that are all close to each other. So what's a "server" is basically just a limit of players within the same system of planets

and when you start up the game for a new playthrough, you're randomly placed in a system

out of curiosity, has any one switch player ever been patient enough to jump through all 255 (not odya they can't get there) galaxies? there's no anomaly bases so the journey's assumedly just rawdogging the whole way

Ngl I really hope we eventually get a revamp focused on the species we have, like getting more lore, aliens getting more random dialogue (and something I've always wanted, you know how aliens sometimes seem to have interesting dialogue that you would be able to interact with? But you never can, even if you fully translate it. I wish we'd get some of that), increasing the variety of ruins would be pretty cool too!

Its worth it tbh if u like space and exploration. And its often on sales. Game is far from perfect tho. Many bugs. But no mtx , all dlc included, no lootboxes .
