no, they aren't. you can get any capital freighter in any system after 3 hours of play and 5 warps with the fifth warp coming into a battle. 3 star systems have way better chance to get S class. hence knowing where to farm them. pirate ones can also be found this way. just going to a pirate system does not set off a battle either, it still needs 3 hours and 5 warps as well.

Anything good drop from farming Sentinel ship combat, and Sentinel ground combat?

ship combat will eventually spawn freighters which drop carrier ai fragments that give you interceptors. ground combat on a normal world gives glass shards and will point you toward a pillar for a chance at a royal mt. combat on a dissonant world will give you glass shards and eventually lead you to a random downed sentinel ship

general question but, how rare is it to get a "haunted emeril" planet in a purple star system? Thought those were only titled like that for green star

so jump to outlaw systems till you find a dreadnought system, build a base on a planet in that system, and you can come back and carm dreadnoughts

the only major thing a better class freighter has is more supercharged slots, which you aren't gonna worry about until you're farming freighter mods. you want to be able to send frigates out on missions asap

I will now say -- this is a very buggy update cycle, but the machanics introduced are some of the most complex and new ever brought forth. The other big buggy one was the Settlement update which introduced them for the first time - they were trying to do way too much at the same time there.

Get the modules and you can buy them at the anomaly and have the parts again but permenantly or yk play on creative and unlocked everything for free without the work lol

Ive done the work to unlock most things, but theres some bits I dont feel like being worth the grind

First thing: freighter construction rooms and stuff that dont have function aside from being room/hallway

You could upgrade like 2 or 3 ships to S class with the amount of nanites slots 7-18 cost

It's a room you can build. Houses 16 plants with the added privilege of having an interface that instant harvests all of them.
You can research it on the Anomaly

the game had real suns and the planets would spin around it, but testers complained about getting lost when trying to go to planets, easily solved by adding a marker to planets you can set, which they did years later.

Honestly thats something they could do if they put their minds to it, adding new planets labelled as "Civilized planet" filled with towns and cities across the planet, dissonance detected civilized planets could be autophage worlds while the rest of the worlds are the rest of the races yk, maybe colour paletted too cadmium star systems mostly vy'keen, green for get and the blue/purpley ones korvax

If you already have a freighter, you may come across a dreadnought fighting a freighter. Search up a tutorial

Gotta find a pirate system where the pirate dreadnought is fighting civs, then disable the dreadnaughts engines and anti freighter lasers

Its not like that, settlements are basically small villages you overseer but you can only do stuff when the game lets you like you can't build anything until the option comes up to choose between 2 build choices or if youre greeting a visitor or making a policy decision

When you get the settlement maps from the cartographer in the space station you'll see what I mean when you do a scan for a settlement

You only get to claim 4 settlements and they dont all land on the same planet usually

You could be on a planet and do a scan for a settlement and it can find one off world to a different planet in the system youre in

Guys I think i figured out why decorations cant be shrunk down past a certain point on corvettes

I own 4 settlements 1 gek, 1 korvax, 1 vy'keen and 1 of my own species the Autophage

I noticed that the further away you are from the "center" of a corvette (not yet sure how this is defined) the less you are able to shrink decorations

My gek one is bugged though still the patch notes said that missing terminals for construction sites would resolve that issue but mines still bugged so I can't upgrade any of my other buildings cause my saloon construction site is still missing the build terminal so I still cant build it

I was trying to figure out why that would be the case, and then it clicked: "base out of range." When a decoration is small and far enough away from the center, the game cant detect it on the corvette. I think it is a floating-point error

And idk how easily it can be fixed because its likely baked into the functioning of corvettes as a base at all
