i'm putting all my money on an update focused on polishing the game, it's messy as hell and with the addition of corvettes they've also introduced a whole lot of bugs and inconsistencies

they can't leave the game with this amount of bugs, nor can they spend a month removing them and pushing a small content update alongside it

If you are on PC, there are mods to play old expeditions; otherwise, can wait for reruns (sometimes they give rewards from past expeditons) or Twitch drops (same thing, usually happen with a big update, we just had a season of it with Voyagers)

They patch most of the issues that pop up in the period between updates. Things will break when new things are added, it's a given. A lot more things broke this time around because a lot more things were changed, this isn't surprising. I doubt they'll leave it in the state that it is currently in before they move on to the next big thing they're planning.

Small patches eventually add up to a larger, bigger fix. That's literally how patches work, hence the name. Again, I do hope (being doubtful maybe wasn't the correct phrasing) that they'll take the time to iron out the kinks of this update before moving on to the next, since it would suck to leave it in this state. It would also be beneficial for them to do so if they want to make more stuff based on the tech they developed for the Corvette creation, like they said they might.

I hope they do take the time to fix things. I haven't played the game long enough to know about multiple-year-old bugs, but it does suck if they exist. Honestly, the Minotaur is at least useful, the other exocrafts are just there... you can use the vehocles to move, but they're only VERY marginally better than boosting around and it usually takes more time to call them than it does to boost.

I only use the pilgrim if something is like, 1000 in distance and even then it's only very slightly faster than boosting.

for anything that's farther away you're gonna want to use the ship anyway

The main problem with exocraft is that most of the time you get them too late.

I mean, when I first unlocked them I already had better boosting and barelly cared about enviromental protection... then, when I finally finished upgrading them, they finally became marginally useful, but I already had almost everything else upgraded so...

On a normal dificulty, they're really more like flavor, it's cool to have but you're not gonna NEED to use them anytime.

On permadeath they can be a little more usefull for the protection they provide, but not that much.

They really should be given earlier in the game.
