Actually the new save I started after the 6.0 update crashed on me when I was flying in space for the first time and I was destroying a silver asteroid. I was shooting every last piece and the moment I shot the last one the game crashed. When I went back the next day it had saved me right in front of that very asteroid so I shot at it again and the same crash happened again. I posted my first bug report then and just continued after that.

Yes if you started the expedition from your save instead of from a new save. Just don't End Expedition and make sure you completed all the required milestones. You can transfer items to the expedition terminal then switch to your main save and retrieve them and keep going back and forth until you have all the items you want transferred.

If you have a corvette you can also safely shoot them from the safety of your ship as I was able to get one that way. I just got out of the pilot seat and marked the nearest resonator with my visor then got back in and flew over and started shooting until after several attempts I fianlly got one.

You will want to get out of the pilot seat before the sentinel ships start showing up if you don't want to have to deal with them though.

It's a bit of a rare drop. The normal floating sentinels won't drop them only the resonators and those 4 legged ones that you might find around them.
