Now that we have Corvettes that can hover as a sort of "landing," I very much wish that Gas Giants were ... gas, lacking any solid ground. Yes, the core of a gas giant planet IRL is possibly solid, but more often/likely something like metallic hydrogen which is not a solid, liquid, or gas.

In the game, now that we have Corvettes, gas giants should have no ground. Just deep, deep, deep sky all the way through.
