its really not grindy. its about exploration. to reach your goals you need to explore. if you dont want to do that play in creative mode. warframe is a grind game, nms is not.

If you care about maxing out badges for the races then just do the space station missions, lots of them give frigate modules, they are frequently faster than running a derelect freighter and give you points towards rep and the mission badges.
