Here is a puzzle: new permadeath session. I find a broken space ship. I claim it. I don't fix anything. I then follow the story line to the nearby planet where Artemis crashed. I claim that space ship too, and also do not fix anything (I did this intentionally to test how this works). I then go talk to Nada, and then left and went to the Space station to test if you can skip fixing them and summon them even if they are broken. You cannot. So then I teleport back to the base I built at the location or Artemis space ship crash site and . . . no space ship 😂 So I'm assuming I will not be able to fix either of these ships until I ahve the freighter?

Very specific... not sure if we can help. But problems on startup can be related to hardware / driver compatibility with the game's API. Are you on Intel GPU? NVIDIA? AMD?

There's no skydive action, once your in the atmosphere you'll fall with arms waving. If the mission is selected it'll count upto 60s
