To get the Corvette you build it, land on a space station and walk toward the exit into space where the ships fly in you will see the corvette station.

to get corvette modules you will need to dig them up on planets with salvagable scrap, and a few other ways that give a random chance of getting a module.

they jump in randomly, just have to find one. They are pretty common and have an icon on them. Then you just dock in their hangar bay and then go to the captain. But bear in mind freighters are extremely expensive
