Much easier and faster, just keep setting your restore point with your ship in the outlaw station and you should be able to just go back and forth buying them till ur good

Cool, then it just didn't hit the RNG for the grass too. I've noticed the other glowing plants also pulse/move too, but unless dense it is harder to tell. With the grass it is so dense you can't miss it.

Sometimes it is kind of fun to fly slow enough to push out the rendering distance and just watch the grass glow and glow and glow...

It interacts with terrain in some interesting ways, but you have to be in the right spot to see it.

Good question. One thing I like about the slow flyover method is that it shows the glowing patterns extend seamlessly as you go... As long as you don't go so fast you get texture pop-in and the like. Even then, it just makes the patterns stutter a bit.

Your method requires a significant amount of refining

for a question of scale, you could also find planets with rusted metal and setup a mine. That way you only have to refine once.

You really don't need an S-Class freighter if you don't want to warp to the center of every galaxy manually or do frigate expeditions every day for the next forever, and even then a B-Class one is fine with upgrades

Also, how does this game integrate into online? Am I constantly connected to the internet transmitting and receiving data for a huge database or am I basically playing offline unless I join some MP expedition?

you're in single player until you come across other players, which you can also toggle off to be fully single player

You'll join an online session if you end up glyph portaling into an active star system

Pretty much offline, with the discovery services uploading names of stuff you discover when you upload them and grabbing any possible discoveries you come across that have already been uploaded

Yeah it all has to sync up but if you're offline it'll sync when you're back online

If you discover something that hasn't been discovered by others, it'll let you rename it and whatnot

it'll tell you if it's already been discovered
