The only way to disable the Artemis Path is to play Abanoned mode, which is tedious because you can't have freighters, or any access to autophage stuff.

First week playing and first weekend event, why are there bases everywhere?

Because every player is sent to the same system for the mission, so if you go upload a base then it will be seen by everyone who does the mission (so making mining things or farms for new players is nice there)

There is a limit of like 16,000 base parts per star system so old bases will be "unuploaded" when too many are there but you can come back every hour to reupload the base

It's chaos, and when the weekly mission requires creating and uploading a base then it's even more chaotic
