I‘ve been playing since 2016, so far too many to count. But I feel like at this points even with the variety we have exploration is following a clear pattern. Once you have seen a crashed freighter you have seen them all etc., this applies to basically all structures on a planet.

At this point you only explore for Fauna & Flora, but POI‘s become a slog. This is why ground exploration isnt that attractive to me anymore. Majority of the ground fauna are also vastly outdated and in need of a overhaul. Their behaviors are still very very simple.

On one hand I think it‘s good that the boring uninteresting Fauna exists to contrast the more rare one, but even so there‘s too little diversity among the procedurally generated creatures imo. In many ways the Fauna still feels like exactly the same as 2016 except for the addition of exotics

Exocrafts are another example of this. Personally I like using them, but you can get by just ignoring them. A lot of players dont touch them beyond the base building quest.

Certain dangerous planets should require exocrafts imo, with Ocean worlds they went a step into the right direction. Adding specialization is a way to give more meaning to existing things.

I have been doing kill planetary sentinel missions. But I do it from my spaceship, then I fight the spacecraft, when I beat them I claim a new ship and collect the missions. I just go to dissonance planets and find a drill team and blow them up. Making good money for the effort. Have done it a few times now.
