Glyphs are not items, they are permanently learned and used at portals to go to any planet in the galaxy

You can find a new one by using settlement charts, found on the second page of cartographer inventories

Use the chart while standing on the desired planet

If it locates one on a different planet, visit that one it located first. Then try using another chart on the other side of the desired planeg

You can learn the blueprints for an economy scanner at the Space Anomaly at Iteration: Hyperion, and install it in your starship technology inventory for 5 microprocessors and 1 wiring loom

I've been running into a lot of texture glitches. And noticed that ships clip through the station as they come in. And not all the ship physics when you stand on them are... normal. So far this feels like a Bethesda game. Only this time the devs actually put stuff on the planets

technically I have cheated as this save used to be a survival mode save back when it only had like 10 hours on it. I changed it using a save editor after I fell through the floor and lost everything like 5 times (that bug is now fixed.... mostly) because I was frustrated with losing all my items

but that's it, other than a few mods like beyond base building and snappy industry

I still fell through the floor after changing it but at least I could recover my stuff

That's not much cheating and more of deciding you changed your mind of game play

Just resource stuff for now while trying to juggle through the main quest as well, things deplete fast, slowly trying to get better exosuit modules to protect myself better

Yep, seems like a regular permadeath run. I went a bit nuts on mine for nanites (scanning all fauna helped, but I'd do things like get 15 larval cores from abandoned buildings to refine later...)
It paid off -- tech modules really do help, as well as some Anomaly blueprints
