NMS is not Minecraft. NMS sold 10 million copies and Hello Games is an independent studio.

We don't know how difficult/simple is implementation or overhaul of different things

Will we get updates with new things? Yeah we will, but chances of overhauling some that might require significant amount of resources is low. I don't think we will see another Worlds I or Worlds II anytime soon. And even that was them implementing improvements developed for their next project using the same game engine.
