Yeah, "model" from the pool is not just model, it's a seed that is used to proc gen a multitool

Supercharged slots you get after upgrading are dependent on that seed

Initial Supercharged slots are dependent on the cabinet/pillar/monolith

last time i check on a B class on a cache in a space station that give 2x2 slot when upgraded to S, i reloaded 6 different pool and it gives the same sc layout :/ even when upgraded

So S class cabinet will give every multitool the same SC slots

B class will give every multitool from it 2 slots in the same places but 2 that are added might be in different places

Pools don't have multitool, we say they have but it's a simplification, they have seeds and seed is used to generate a multitool

So there is no pool you can set as active that will result in no multitool

An inhabited system will have at least 1 station and 2 celestial bodies, 3 pools total

To simplify

You find a cabinet, you check what multitool variants you can get from it (one per planet + station) and that's all that cabinet has to offer

Example

I have found an A class with potential for P layout and I checked all pools to see if i can get P layout from one

Luckily I did

It could have also been an L-layout, but i don't think there was any multitool with it

If you find an S class cabinet you can expect that all multitools from that cabinet will be S class

I did minmaxing for a while. It was fun, but I wouldn't say it's worth it, unless you are doing it for sport really.
Right now I'm mostly using expedition staves, which aren't exactly ideal but do look awesome, so that's that.

I wish they would increase the resolution of the sky planet textures so it matches everything else. They stand out more now that everything else on the planet surface has such high texture fidelity

yeah, I think they're also incorrectly scaling giant planets as seen from moons. they should dominate the sky, but they don't appear actually any bigger than other planets

Yep, it's odd. They are so huge when you are flying around them. Getting to a moon behind one is a nightmare lol.

I tend to avoid them as well because of the moons. They don’t always have water when they say they will, so I can’t find underwater creatures to complete my scans. Reported it to HG.
