Nah, there is a Weekend Event, but that is a tiny thing every weekend started from the Nexus Computer in the Anomaly. The Expeditions are major weeks- or months-long things started from either a new save or the Expedition Console in the Anomaly (when an Expedition is running).

That reminds me, I need to clean up after my last Expedition (also at the same Expedition Console).

I had a run once where I spawned at an archive, traded the pillar for a b class shuttle with an a class photon cannon module, later as I was heading to artimis's ship I found a sentinel pillar with an a class exotic tool. All within about two hours of starting.

You can pass yourself stuff into the Expedition and pass stuff back there. Expedition rewards are major (compared to Weekend Events) and can be used in any of your saves in perpetuity once you earn one, you get those from the QuickSilver vendor bot in the Anomaly.

So, I have a settlement that I build a base next to and expanded the base into the settlement to make a short-range teleporter corridor to take me to the Overseer's office. At the midpoint, I built my NPC hireling desks and exocraft geobays. The settlement just expanded into that same area, so I have to move things around a little bit:

Hmm, the #nms-modding folks have the probability tables extracted. Maybe there's a pin? Mind you: "0" in the tables is actually "0.1%" chance, not truly 0%. For example, S-class roles in tier 1, 2 and 3 systems are like 0, 1, and 2 in the tables, or 0.1%, 1%, and 2%. But the tables are much more complex than when I was last studying them.

Average systems are 10 times more likely than Poor for an S-class, and Wealthy systems are 20 times more likely (being 2 times more likely than Average systems).

It's just a special multitool - you know when you go interceptor hunting, then you use the brain to go to the monument to cleanse it? That monument has a special pillar that comes out if it's been charged by a storm. You feed it Atlantideum, and you can get it free.

Nah, it's more of a create a save point, warp into a Pirate freighter battle, take out the warp drives and 6 laser cannons on top, land on it, use your goggles to check the class, if it's not an S, then reload and do the fight again.

the class of a Sentinel Freighter that you take over does not have anything to do with crashed interceptor ships. You only get the beacon to find a crashed Interceptor if you destroy the freighter, not make them surrender.

And you can't check the class of a Pirate freighter unless you take it over without destroying it, landing on it, and checking it's class using your Analysis Visor.

within 30-45 minutes i got mine within 5
you can try right after server resets

for me its around 6-6:30am i am +6 time zone...

every time i was playing nms during that time i came across S class freighters battle more in comparision to any other time...
now this is a personal observation not 100% gaurabteed method

So to be clear, we are talking about when you warp into a system and you get put into a fight with a Pirate Freighter attacking another freighter.

If you simply want to destroy it, go through the trenches destroying the shield generators, when the shield generators are gone, red vials pop up, destroy those. Both trenches destroy the ship.

You can go to an outlaw system - those have a skull icon on the galaxy map. you go to the outlaw station and a bounty hunter will give you quests. Or, sometimes, you'll get an alert in space and bottom right will show you that there is a pirate you can fight and get rewarded.

You can get a freighter relatively quick, system freighters can start spawning even as soon as a couple of warps after starting the game

But they cost units

After couple hours you should get a rescue event when warping to a system, if you don't own a freighter then the freighter from this event will be free

First 2 events will spawn system freighters, 3rd and evey after that will result in capital freighter (difference boils down to the model, mechanically they are the same)

Trees make up for a good filler in a courtyard, though i'm not so sure how good that would look in an area open to space XD i would suggest taking a look at the style you already have around your freighter, if its classical, stuff like that, what i would fill it up with depends on that actually, i could always make a Zen temple next to my orthodox church but it wouldn't look fitting xD i would say place some fossil exhibits there, people is just going crazy placing those all around and they make for good fillers if you're out of ideas

the placement and usage of parts is completly vanilla, though for the resizing of parts such as walls i use a mod that makes resizing enabled in every base part. you can still do the same in the vanilla game with glitching, though it's a bit tedious xD
