emergency chart can find more than just crashed ships - the mechanic with charts is to use a chart, and if it adds a marker that's not of the type we want, we ignore it and use another emergency chart - that chart can't ever mark another location of the same type e.g. observatory in that system till player clears marker

You can buy ships in the space station, on trading outposts, or you can find crashed ships to claim.

each system has fixed ship pool (21 to be exact), if you like a particular model you can go to a space station or trading post within that system, npc ship will land there and you can buy them again

Quick tip if you don't get the right signal, don't go there and just leave it cause the game only shows one of each type at a time so if you get a crashed freighter and don't go there it's more likely that the next one will be a starship

Alternatively, there is a bug i recently discovered that lets me farm dissonant resonators in peace

If you destroy a resonator with your ship and quickly pulse out of atmosphere far from the planet when the interceptors are coming

the wanted level will stay but there will be nobody coming for you

So you can drop back down to planet and keep destroying the resonators from above

Hmm, the islands have all been a mix for me, maybe it was the shot. That planet does have water, and the islands have waterfalls. The only downside I could see for some would be the flora. It only has trees on the islands, the rest is shroomy. Let me try to get a better picture lol.

I get that game balance due to new content has been upset altering the experience in an unintentional way, but to just lock players out of it and leave it completely unavailable while leaving the rewards people missed out on sucks IMO. It's dangling a carrot that you can never actually catch.

Some expeds hijacked the Quicksilver research progress bar to track community progress on specific milestones

So those can't be run at the same time as regular QS research or HG would have to halt the later for the rest of the playerbase

I'm not sure why they can't just contain it as an activity in a lobby or something like any other game if it's so tasking to orchestrate.

I'd probably say a more reasonable reason is they don't want to. As a player that sucks for me but it just means I'll have to adjust my expectations which is fine.

HG has its fair share of issues and stupid ass design decisions, but I dont think running all expeds at once is something worth bashing over
