Unfortunately most of the coop enjoyment comes from starting a character with a friend and helping each other with whatever you need as you both advance, while keeping a team base somewhere.

You’re right, it’s kind of mostly singleplayer with the occasional popping your head into the Anomaly/base to be like “Hey guys how’s everyone’s personal goal coming along? Anything cool to show off?”

So unlike a game like Elite Dangerous, when your buddy warps you can’t just follow his wake and warp to the same place. You have to manually open your map and head to the same place. This is…kind of tedious. It also means a lot of your “coop” experience will be as if you and a friend walked off in two different directions to collect different supplies for a central campsite.

You can head to the same planet and collect the same stuff together, but more or less you are collecting things at your own speed and creating your own goals, then grouping up to show off to each other

I have no idea, I got it a while back now, I wanted a game involving space travel to play with my partner.

Problem is, the co-op is buggier than far cry 6 and there doesn't -seem- to be a fix for it, but most players on this game are happy to play solo, so I'm gauging how likely the devs are to fix the issue.

The store page isn’t lying. If it’s advertised as Co-Operative Multiplayer, then that feature is very much available in the game. Players conglomerate on large building projects, community milestones, and entire seasonal expeditions with unique rewards.

Just because you’re not restricted in the same way you would be in Fable 3 doesn’t make it any less of a co-op game.

Part of having a base with a partner is that you guys can constantly add little additions to the base and leave cute messages and supplies for each other to find when they come back.

It can get a little wonky with the saving on the global server between two people and the map geometry, so it might be easier to make two neighboring bases with a pretty bridge where you spruce up an area for both of y’all

that's your opinion. And it would also depend on what platform you were playing it on. There ARE players on the PC platform that can and have started together in multiplayer and been able to advance. THAT being said, we recently had a big update and a patch after patch for problems that came out AFTER the update. HG has been diligent about fixing parts that get reported. If its not up to your expectations, take it up with Steam. No one in this channel can give you a refund.

What this means is, while you are currently using the grill (meaning, you’ve got the Grill’s HUD up and you’re able to place food/etc) nobody else can use said grill until you stop accessing it.

Now, don’t worry - if you set something up to cook, only YOU can access your version/food. But you do NOT need to sit on the grill watching it to get it. If you do - nobody else can use it.

So, please be courteous towards others. Once you set something up to cook, just let it do its thing and just return to the normal game. The grill will have % done, even when you don’t access it - and this will allow others to use the grill while you wait.
