Notes Ended up being exposed to solar radiation so intense they self combusted before anyone could read them

But we as fans of the verse know that those heretics could have been onto something bc of our knowledge not available to in-universe characters

In 40k baseline humans can easily live for couple hundreds years bc of juvenation treatments

Astartes can live much longer without receiving any extra treatments and through this time they remember everything with clarity

Plus astartes consider themselves brothers and develop their own cultures
