You would have to sit at low speed ground idle for like 30 mins then go to high speed for 5 mins then stop it, check readouts and make adjustments and then do it again! All of this while you constantly have to respot the plane bc the wind has changed.

There’s been VATS turns that have taken days. Like multiple shifts multiple days

I doubt even speed runners are big fans of speed running. They just want to be fastest. Being a fan has a threshold of commitment to a standard with rules. Speed runners regularly break every single standard they can and create arbitrary rules to lend legitimacy to the process - Like exploiting glitches and cheating is okay as long as it doesn't involve third party software, blah blah blah

I've never met a speed runner that didn't think it was okay to win by exploitation.

Because if they did, they'd get lost amongst the ones who think it's fine and have speeds magnitudes faster.

I find it interesting that they can break a game apart by manipulating game mechanics

during a few GDQ runs, some game devs even commented on it, being surprised they discovered new glitches and whatnot

and it's a charity event that raises over 2 million dollars every year

Star Wars has never really been my thing. I grew up with gears of war and halo, so seeing Star Wars media was a bit boring for me due to how non combative the characters felt in the situations they were in, but I did enjoy the clone wars and the force unleashed
