one reason i do actually enjoy the outlook spacex fans have
some people say theyre too hyperoptimistic, and that they believe in vaporware thats never going to happen
Sooooo! Now we stop.
would love to move onto a productive conversation
Imagine being optimistic about something by Elon Musk\
Let's appreciate each other's POV, and move on to a better topic.
Oh, didn't see this
let's wear socks
Terraria?
Ye
Terraria is a nice game really
@sleek coral my applogiez btw i just wanted to give those present a fair warning bout the bots cuz idk if its more than one
Ahead of you on that. LOL
Please bring me a pair
Sure!
You goo! But you go shleep now
themks
I have fluffy socks
maximum cozy
I think @night bobcat agrees with me
I picked up pinworms as a child by going barefoot all the time.
Floofsoc.,
Well, I hate having cold feet and feel small stuff on the floor
But barefoot on a cold beach sand is better than socs
Also, I have cats. Cats who bring up hairballs. That I step in at times.
it's the toes, right?
Socks*
Feet are also ugly.
I do agree on going barefoot
"yes"
I AM barefoot rn
It’s too damn cold to go barefoot
Not my fault you have a poorly heated home 😤 😠 😤 😠
/s
Samesies. Barefoot buddies.
That sounds so wrong though! Lmfao.
I wear socks around the house, shoes outside. No barefoot on beaches, because the nearest one is a thousand miles away.
Oof!
happy to read that I turned some sentences weird ahah
Lmao! 🤣
Don’t want to go barefoot on some of these Pacific beaches either. rocky af
It's the only thing I miss about living in Florida. I miss the beach.
You go outside? How dare you betray the Gamer code
Hahaha! Don't be. It's funny af
what is the Gamer Code?
- Stay Inside
- Never Shower
- Obtain the victory royale or smth
Yes! Just like this flexybebe ^
oh it's not in the Rift anymore?
If Spring ever gets here, I'll be outside more.
But that's really cold 😠 😠 😠
In South Spain it's about 30
they even got 38 some place
How unpatriotic
am trying to get outside more, i got a new car a while back and its finally starting to heat up where i live
It hit 33 C here for three days a week ago, but it's still getting down to 0 C at night.
wanna work on my car, and maybe make some friends to go out racing with and stuff
Using Cs 😠
I ain't american
I'm trying to be polite, Coyoti. Should try it yourself someday.
matriotic
all my friends that i make online inevitably move on from games and actually you know, get a life
I should probably clear up that I'm joking
so if i wanna keep pace i gotta do the same
do you meet them IRL
I got a life. Unfortunately, it turned out to be this one.
one of em i did, a string of terrible things happened to him that i was helpless to do anything about, his mental state deteriorated
he recovered and he got a life and left me behind
I'm too anxious to meet any online friends IRL
well also i just like cars, ive always wanted a project car, so part of it is just, i wanna be involved in that crowd and actually do something while summer is ripe
I'm too anxious to make any online friends
not that i hate games now or anything, still very much love games, just, theres a whole world out there you know
I don't like being around people in real life; why would I want to meet more?
yay anxiety 🎉
i dont know if i like meeting people in real life yet, i guess ill find out, my co workers seem alright, i wanna go hang out with them outside of work
I'm too anxious to make any IRL friends. I only have 1 friend who has been a friend for more than 10 years now. 😅
we met in real life, he found my city miserable, only stayed a day then left
Besides, I've lived my life. Married twice, kids, two careers and assorted other jobs, own my own house and property. I'm okay with not chasing life.
I made some IRL friends a while a go, haven't found any since
i dont blame him honestly, my city is pretty miserable
twas before my anxiety properly went into full force
I wish something could appease that anxiety, for y'all
🫂 I sympathize deeply
i have lots of social anxiety, but im good at faking social interactions in real life, its actually worked out great for me its like having a high charisma stat
I only have three real life friends left, and none of them live within a couple hundred miles.
its gotten me into quite beneficial situations in my work life, school life and just in general
yes PLEASE a JOB
I don't have social anxiety; I just despise most humans. LOL
I hate the missles in mass effect 😩
I'm on full health and shields, and then boom
dead
a job sounds bad, but i really love my current job, i get to work outdoors in the sun, i got really good co workers, my boss treats me well and doesnt expect unreasonable things of me, pay is good, company higher ups treat us well
i get to see nice cars
How are you liking mass effect so far?
for me, it would allow to get out of house, I kinda feel lonely with those low revenues
Besides missiles lol
I love the story and dialogue, the gameplay not so much
i dont make an insane amount of money, but i make enough to live my life, have my games and food and work on my car
but the gameplay is still fun, because shooting people in vidya games is inherently fun
i see
samesies, but on my side it really IS low
and id rather have a low stress job that maybe doesnt pay as much, and gives good time off, than a high stress, high paying job where i get treated like shit
looking forward the day after tomorrow
Lol I feel that. Absolutely love the characters
free time is more valuable than people realize
It is
but
money, got getting out and having a good rythm
(also because I struggle to pay bills and eat)
when i started college, i had so much free time in between my classes, night and day difference between my job and college classes
and i learned SOOO MANY things
from my classes, and then just in general, learned to cook better, learned coding, learned how to suck less at art
yup
doing things in a regular basis gives me energy
without that energy, I cannot do anything at all
I mean, I could code, cook, clean my appartment
same, full time work im just always tired, even at my job
i have learned about myself though that sometimes its not that youre actually tired
its that youre going through a depressive episode
but as I broke my plate and can't afford a new one, well, screwed
and the important thing is you gotta force yourself to get up and do it
because it will make you feel better
youre not drained, the depression is making you think that you are, and its making you feel insanely tired when youre not
its very hard for me to fight sometimes, but i force myself to do so
yup
because when i do i instantly feel better, instantly get my energy back
yes
i could take on the world
for me its as simple as getting up and cleaning my shit
i recognize its not that way for everyone though
its probably harder to do as you get older too
its probably even worse when you reach middle age, but after that you kinda stop giving a fuck, least its what i notice in older people
i hope i never turn out that way myself though, i dread it, it fuels my depression sometimes
What happens when you reach that early?
well, if its the middle age crisis thing people usually get
consider yourself lucky, you still got time to make changes, get out there and do things
You join Discord. LOL
Oh no, the "stop giving a fuck" part
You're red!?
oh, then congratulations, live your life
Fuschia, but yeah.
It's in the same light spectrum mkay
Reddish-pink. I'm medium-rare. LOL
You know, this is easier said than done. Because I realized, once you get to that stage, people have SO many opinions about what you should or shouldn't do. The amount of people saying I should cut my hair is astounding.
People hate when others live how they want
It's practically still alive, it's that raw
No, he would say it's still mooing

There we go
still need better emojos
some I have can't be used here

Around the half of my collection
But it's not the hoof-less horses tho
Can't be that bad
Yes.
is from another server
It has no nail
Here.
Bear with no canines
Half of that collection could be misinterpreted as in "It's against NMSCord's rules"
Oooh. That can be interpreted in many waus
Oh, I don't even touch a lot of stuff I could post. LOL
you know what i do? fucking ignore them
well, actually my go to is to tell them to lick my gooch
but yea you get the idea
wwwwwwwhat
Same. Though now my "no, thanks" eventually evolve into "no, go fuck yourself" if pestered enough by 1 person
And people who perpetuate stereotypes, but complain about how society is...
Yeah. Gunter
it was about "mind your business" with with way more violence
The best kind
theres a limit though
some customer came into the place i work
and he started fucking with a machine, even though theres a sign right there that says not to fuck with the machine and to call us if they need help
he threatened to beat my co worker for telling him not to fuck with the machine and to read the sign or ask for help
okay that wor we can say it
People don't read
that kinda obnoxious douchebaggery should be criticized
youre not a man for getting up in someones face and threatening them and shit
I mean... How do you define criticize?
thats not strength, its weakness
what i just said basically
Personally, I think that kind of behavior need to learn that walking is a privilege
fair enough, however unfortunately the way society works is, if you swing first youre the one going to jail
least in my country
Hey
Yep. Pretty sure that's how it is in most places
my go to for most obnoxious people is to just ignore them and stay on point, makes them more angry in most situations but i mean, no one can call me unreasonable
you learn business ways to tell people to fuck off
Do you need the familiar role for that?
As I mentioned, if it's NMS, check the Pins in #content-creator-corner. Otherwise, check #server-rules about no self promotion.
Here's a direct link to the pin with rules and instructions: #content-creator-corner message @sweet mantle
Thanks
I have. But some people really think that being quiet is a sign of weakness
And they like to push, but hate when they face resistance, and try to act like you're the unreasonable one
those people are the most pathetic, i dont do that with those people, i immediately go straight to swinging with those types of people
Well...shit. Just set up to paint, got invited out to eat in a while.
i despise people who take being reasonable and calm as a sign of weakness cause i suffered a lot of physical abuse as a child, not anymore, fuck that.
they make my blood boil actually, im ready to fight immediately 😂
actually that's trauma response
the only reason i havent killed my step parent is cause i would go to jail for it
Can't in certain situations. Self control is important, though I like to get the message across with how I speak.
yea, just because im ready doesnt mean i can, that much i understand
self control is important
They said talk with @ contactrole
What’s up everyone
And there is no @topaz orioletct role
(@limber fractal, #server-announcements message)
I love how you made the announcement at 16:16 :D
You didn't read the pins there.
My English bad 🥲
How is it so far?
very interesting
You must contact moderators. You can run !ModHelp to do that. You review the channel's pinned rules so you can tell moderators you're agreeing to them. But if you have an issue understanding them, you may have to use Google to translate them. A sample of your NMS content will also be needed for moderators to vet it.
it's a book written by a Civil War nurse about her experiences during the war (up to 1863)
Woah
It was printed in 1865

so, I'm like, having to read it while also being careful with it
150+ years old
Nearly 160 years old actually
Union army nurse at that. Not easy
yea, especially because she was there after the Battle of Antietam
something like 24,000 casualties in the aftermath of Antietam
Them initials too E.E.E.
Thankss
Isn't that also contributed to deaths due to surgery infection?
Amputations and all that
For many yes
I actually own a book that was owned by an amputation survivor
He was wounded at the Battle of Gaines Mill in 1862
Injured in the leg?
arm
He was shot in both arms
but his right arm injury was more severe
so he lost his right arm
From the shoulder?
just below the shoulder joint
Ouch
The book is actually his blue book for the Grand Army of the Republic
John Northwood, born in England and son of Mary, was married to Martha Packard on January 27, 1864 at Flushing, Genessee Co., MI. They were the parents of Mary Sevillah Northwood Bullock and John W. Somewhere I had a few photographs of him
Actual information :
Deepl is better at translating
Really?
Yes
it has less languages but it's a bit more efficient
I rely more on Deepl than gTranslate for Dutch
Gunter does a decent job translating too
that pinguin is Hyper
At least I can speak for its Spanish translations
I didn't know he could even translate

CODE !
Oh, just at the elbow
test me in #bot-spam i'll show you
the amuptation according to official records was just below his shoulder joint
That's... Not very descriptive. But, in gonna imagine the stump begins where the fabric drops more
About midways through the humerus, maybe a bit higher
How are ya
my bad, I dont actually remember what the actual description was but I do know where the amputation was
Right about there
from what I could find on him
Yep! We are in agreeance
😄
bored but doing good and you ?
Good, tired
Halfway through the humerus! Commonish spot. It at least dodges a major artery
Apparently he had learned to write with his left hand in the 24 years between his amputation and when he got the book
A lot better than I could've done it tbh
What really sucked for him is that
after he was amputated
literally like a week later or somethin
he was captured and thrown in a Confederate prison camp
where he stayed for almost a month before he was released in a prisoner exchange
After that he was taken to a hospital in Philadelphia where he was treated, and then the Army basically said yea you been through enough you can go home
Imagine if they said "you still have an arm, you can help out"
lmfao
Thing is, he actually continued to help with the war effort, just not on the battlefield
Put him with logistics or quartermastering
he signed up for the local enlistment office back home and he worked there until the war ended
It took most of my strength to avoid a pun
you know
getting big rest tomorrow ?
I mean I already rested
by the way
If you think thats old
needs more rest
Thursday and Friday were tiring days x)
I should take a nap... But I'm still very irritated, so it's either sleep while be irritated, or just suffer through this overnight shift
Like, older than America or.
did you deliver the new version
Not gonna lie, US history is a bit claustrophobic
Nah, went out with friends on Thursday - got home at 2 am, woke up at 7 to go to the office. Then went out that night as well and got home at 5 am lol.
Printed in London in 1678
wooooooow
Printed under the reign of King Charles II of England
In an older English script no less
yep
A book so old
that Oliver Cromwell was considered relatively recent events
He had died 20 years before the book was printed
books of that age tended to emphasize the first word of each page
I forgot exactly why they did that but some of them got really fancy
Pageantry. Mmmmm classic
And public spelled with a K
This is the full page
so it's clear it the start of a long story
It's like he shouted It to get your attention
also, to make it look nice
What is that symbol over the C and T of Expectation
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Initial
@flat echo
In a written or published work, an initial capital, also referred to as a drop capital or simply an initial cap, initial, initcapital, initcap or init or a drop cap or drop, is a letter at the beginning of a word, a chapter, or a paragraph that is larger than the rest of the text. The word is derived from the Latin initialis, which means standin...
dunno if you knew, the Historian ?
Yes... But both the I and T are capitalized. Not just the first letter
I read the article in French
so make it quicker for me
but it's normal : back then, it's to keep it in one word
idk cuz I cant seem to find the word lol
OH I SEE IT
"Initial"
To be honest I dont know, because I dont have much experience with 17th Century books
I have handled them but I'm no expert on how they're written
I just saw that one for 100 dollars and bought it lmfao
There is a little arch connecting the C and T, it's everywhere where those letters are together.
yea I see it
its in Protector too near the start
In writing and typography, a ligature occurs where two or more graphemes or letters are joined to form a single glyph. Examples are the characters æ and œ used in English and French, in which the letters 'a' and 'e' are joined for the first ligature and the letters 'o' and 'e' are joined for the second ligature. For stylistic and legibility reas...
There we go
😂
& - ligature
Also, some of the S's probably look more like fs.
ah so THAT I know about
That's something called a Long S
which is sorta stretched out to look like an F
It went away right around 1800
The long s ⟨ſ⟩, also known as the medial s or initial s, is an archaic form of the lowercase letter ⟨s⟩. It replaced the single s, or one or both of the letters s in a "double s" sequence (e.g., "ſinfulneſs" for "sinfulness" and "poſſeſs" or "poſseſs" for "possess", but never *"poſſeſſ"). The modern ⟨s⟩ letterform is known as the "short", "termi...
Also, Cromwell is often hated by Irish folk. He killed all the wolves in Ireland.
It's like an f without the cross line
Only in some places too
He uses them interchangeably, some words like "self" using the long s
yea I read about all of this a while ago but I cant remember now why they use it on some but not all S
Maybe like, 17th century shorthand?
Reading that page, I wonder if I gave it to an English teacher, how many run on sentences they can identify
🤣
This dude uses commas everywhere
We have ", and[...], But" like... I got points taken off if I did that.
He also just tacks on the word "them" at the bottom of the page instead of writing "them" on the second page. But, also doesn't start at a new line at the bottom of the page either.

Talking about meeeee?
That's also called a "lead in".
Still used today.
This channel became literary all of a sudden.
ye
Y'all are intelligent.
so are you sappy mod
I guess! Sappy does have a nice ring to it.

ooooh
😮
😮
Wot, wahman?
where is cat 2
and cat1
Everybody asks this, hehehe!
I don't like the cat2 section. It stretches the cat.
also how about cat6E
But here we go.

cat6E is missing
Oh no! The catto is stuck.
Hello Sunday. Nice sunset. I ate chicken. It was delicious. nom nom nom
Who's Sunday
Your
My...?
His?
Is?
My what
SUNDAY!
You either did not complete the sentence, Mumbles, or you wanted to say "you're". What was it?
y'roue
What's a sentence.
404 Code Not Fond
Who's not fond of code?

"404 Code not Fond ~ MumblesMalarky, 2023"
Or maybe I should be asking what is Code not fond of.
404, obviously.
Japanese grammar
How?
Code loves to be found
I feel like a John Wick movie starring Steven Seagal.
Code may not be fond, but would like to be found, as long as there aren't code dependency
Code loves.
Fortunately Corridor Crew made my day.
Japanese uses different subject/object/verb order than English
Now How Cow Brown
Like in dutch, sometimes

Not what I meant. 😅
How did you end up quoting "Japanese grammar" all of a sudden?
404 Code not fond.
Me! It's my favorite language and I get triggered (and trigger happy) when it's not used properly. /j
pffffff...It is definitely Sunday.
Not learning Japanese anymore. Learned it enough to be clear JLPT level 4. Don't wanna prepare for JLPT 5.
@limber fractal yo is it time
let's goo
I've been told it makes it harder to interrupt people like that, since you need the whole sentence to get the verb.
All Asian languages have different set of rules for sentence structuring compared to Latin/Roman/Modern English.
Doctor Fasbinder gave an hour long dissertation on the ionization effect of warp nacells before he realized that the topic was supposed to be Psychology. There was no pause. He just kept talking in one loooong incredibly unbroken sentence moving from topic to topic so that no-one had a chance to interrupt. It was really quite hypnotic.
Yeah Chinese is really tough for westerners lol
Japanese is pretty straightforward until kanji comes along.
😅
My state has more Asians than white folks, so many of us learn Japanese in HS
Learning Japanese in HS sounds a lot funner than learning French.
私のため日本語は簡単。
55000 kanji
It's a good damn pain
Thank god they have made it to ~2200 official kanji
It's still
Yeah and context matters too lol
At least Japanese doesn't have tones
That's a misconception.
Japanese is heavy on tones and phonetics. It is also heavy on honorifics
Nothing like Chinese tones
I took both languages, nothing at all alike imo
The example: Japanese word "hashi" is used for both a pair of chopsticks and a bridge.
That's nothing like what I'm talking about

No, that's very different from Japanese
Japanese language has the same foundations of mandarin.
Westerners often can't even hear the difference in Chinese tones, but they can stumble along with Romaji/Japanese just fine
Same thing as what is called a "pitch accent" in Japanese.
https://youtu.be/c9OArpr2A78
Hi,
Do you know that the Japanese language is a pitch accented language?
And that every word has a certain pitch?
Here, you'll see 2 rules and 4 patterns of pitch and what you can do to master pitch accent.

It's all how a vowel is pronounced, same stuff with Hindi.
No it's different
Nope.
That is mentioned in the SS I posted lol
Not all information is correct on the interwebs, friendo.
I've studied both and I am Chinese lol
My grandfather spoke 3 dialects, which is another reason Chinese is so much harder
I have studied Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Mongolian, English and I am an Indian. That doesn't matter at all lol!
My family is rooted in Japan, China, and a India. That doesn't matter either.
Heck, at least in Japanese there's pretty consistent Romanization and Romaji is common, unlike Chinese; eg Peking vs Beijing, or sun nin fai lok vs xīn nián kuài lè
My point is, tones in Chinese language is what one can call the "pure" stuff. The same concept is used in Japanese language, and variations in the voicing changes the meaning of a word completely, and drastically.
This I agree with.
It matters when you imply my info is coming from the internet lmao
You shared the screenie... lol!
Wait... before someone else takes up the wrong hint.
Ftr, logically speaking internet sources are > than what someone on discord is claiming, with 0 support.
We are not arguing or fighting. We are only discussing and sharing thoughts.
Apples and oranges.
Agreed!

Hi everyone, I'm Audrey. In the video, I am going to show you a few tone pairs to he...
Japanese is not a "flat" language.
It has tones.
ah yes
Fortunately I didn't claim that, and if linguists make a distinction between tones and pitch accent, that's good enough for me.

I mean, it's true...
😅
Nerdy stuff is nice from time to time :3
No harm intended friend-entity @spiral zephyr
Civil nerdiness is nice to see
Civil Word instead of Civil War.
lmao
I hope so.
Wish I didn’t

I was talking to someone in risk management recently, and it struck me that he spends a LOT of time going over basic terminology with people, even in major financial institutions.
Concise language is something that takes skill and practice.
Even the word "risk" seems to be a common hurdle.
Wommy hates licker.
Not you too 😭 😂

Yup! And so I believe I was 100% wrong at interpreting what you meant by tones.
Language is really really cool to me. All I want for now is to practice academic and creative writing, though
And all I want from you is a story.

coughs, grins
I read Poe's The Philosophy of Composition some time ago, where he describes his creative process while writing The Raven.
I'm pretty sure he was bullshitting, but who knows lol
😂
Funny read imo.
hands you a cough drop
Honestly, this is one thing I don't like about Romanization of Japanese language.
Hashi to hashi: Without accent marks it means chopstick and chopsticks, but I'm not saying that, I mean to say chopsticks and (wooden) bridge. They both have the same god damn word but different kanji for each. It should be written as Hashì (chopsticks) vs Hashí (bridge).
You’ll get a shitty first draft thats like 20k words at this rate 😂
I think we should be like bees and communicate to eachother through dances
Go look up "light" in an English dictionary
😂
bridge to the mouth ?

Literally just my progress to near the end of Alone Amidst the Stars has given me at least ten pages of notes lol
I like how the same exact character can have a totally different pronunciation and meaning depending on context.
Raito.
I wanna do some creative writing, but I've reached the point where I procrastinate things I want to do
Yeah similar, in Chinese the pronunciation can be totally different though, like say, if lead and multigrain were spelled the same lol.
Lol!
I just gave myself half a dozen projects and that way I can procrastinate one by doing any of the others
Genius
I utilize an advanced technique where I just don't do anything
Wisdom of the ancients there
Teach me.
It gets really weird with compound words/characters.
eat the book
did you eat, Shira?
i ate one of your books
This was fun to read... As I know next to nothing of Eastern languages
hiii
hug your glommer
Are you playing MP
yes
Burn their stuff
No
I remember starting forest fires as an alternative to campfires
Probably not my best idea but
BAD AI
everytime I see people beating robots, I think of the dumbass movie I, Robot
Skynet: "Hold my beer."
I guess that people want to talk to humans
yeah
I wouldn't mind interacting with a bot though
3 AM here
tomorrow is a holiday here
I'm watching some Norovo playthroughs on Youtube
My usual time to bed
Humans can be just as infuriating as robots, but not acceptable to beat the snot out of them.
Humans are worse than robots, because robots aren't assholes on purpose.
Evening, folks.
Something tells me that having a receptionist at a hospital be a robot is a bad idea
I want to paint, but I'm tired. LOL
I am about to blow a bunch of money on fountain pen
Ronin omg you're glowing
(You hurt my eyes)
You're stuck with it for 48 more levels.
Not my choice. LOL
Lmao
You leveled up so high you're too good for us peasants to gaze upon without frying our retinas huh

I am excited for this fountain pen but I need to wait until friday (when my paycheck comes in)
I barely talk. Mythos joined after I did; he's at 80+ and a mod now.
October, dude.
Torturing eyeballs left n right
Because mythos is mythical
Because he jabbers a lot.
That too
Cursive? Why?
But not cursive
All your pens are dip pens. LOL
You be the bane of editors
Yes
I will torture them all

And myself, I'll need to practice cursive that isn't just slurred together print
But... That's Cursive
I can't write pretty anymore. Used to be awesome when I could still write left-handed.
I can't write well in print so.
OH! Now that it's done...My older brother (who's also left-handed; all three of us are) got his hand caught in a log splitter yesterday.
Ouch
He lost the end two joints of his left pointer finger, but he's been fixed up and is recovering at home.
It has rules and it's designed to be written without lifting
How is cursive different than drunk writing
Print is meant for lifting, slurring doesn't make it cursive it makes it shitty print
You still lift occasionally in cursive
When you finish a word n stuff sure
Gotta cross T somehow
Also, my oldest sister had her gall bladder go blooey like mine did yesterday. She felt hers, though, and had it removed yesterday. Also home, recoverong.
Jeez, all y'all having health issues
Family curse. Shit hits us out of nowhere.
But you sure as hell don't lift every letter, the whole point of cursive and the way the letters are designed is for speed while maintaining legibility (and it looks nice done right)
Legibility was gone when you decided to write in cursive
The Constitution is written in cursive.
My bad for not learning the limp spaghetti style
And is barely legible.
It's quite sad that cursive was removed from public education requirements
Chiana cuddling my knock-off Godzilla.
I was in second grade when they did away with it, I only had one year of practice and it disappeared
Cursive is neat sure but if I had to choose a skill to learn in my early education it would not be near the top of the list
Typing mmm. That I can make use of
I would choose cursive so that I could be an even more creepy questionable child than I already was
Just pretend to be possessed by the spirit of a Victorian era banker or something
You only need cursive for your name, and nowadays, that doesn't even need to be read. It just needs to be vaguely signature like
Doofy and Godzilla a couple hours later.
And we don't actually need artists anymore since AI exists. Hell, we don't need architects either. Computers can design and correct mistakes
In elementary school, I was fascinated with the smallpox vaccine. So... I'm covered in that I think
Just because something isn't necessarily constantly used doesn't mean it should be thrown away
I was about to start frothing at the mouth but I’m too tired
But it lacks the human element, AI art is like, if all the artists were that one Austria guy
Ahnold?
Maybe? I haven't heard of him, or his art
There is a whole lot you can do with AI generated art, and plenty is far better than humans start off as. Just needs some fine tuning and it'll surpass most people. The "human element" is barely visible to the 90% that just want "something cool to hang on my wall"
I don't really feel like spending time to train an AI for good art either
There are only two world-famous Austrians. LOL
It's sad but alas, technological era
I despise AI “art” so I’m gonna
I hate AI art too lol
Sad I only know 50% of all world famous Austrians
Me too
You don't know Arnold Schwarzenegger?
I know his last name
I think it's terrible, but it's likely gonna replace most human made stuff because 1) it's free, you don't pay a robot for doing anything and 2) it's passable for the vast majority who just want something that looks vaguely cool on the wall
It's going to take over corporate art for sure
But that's probably for the better since all corporate art is soul sucking
There’s a pretty huge underlying plagiarism/copyright issue
Anyways I like cursive because it's nicer to look at than print or type and I think it's neat
underlying????
It's a pretty big ethical dilemma going on
Nobody's gonna care about that when they can print something for free that isn't actually an exact copy of anything and is just borrowing from everything tho
Anyways cursive makes my tiny dumb brain hurt so I’ll keep writing in my wack ass handwriting
Sure. Tired of talking about it.
I only like typing for the noise on a keyboard or typewriter
Ew no
Cursive fonts all suck
Silent keyboards are nice
Clearly we are very different people
I mean.... I could take out a word, and then we agree
I like the noise, because I learned to type on a typewriter.
Garamond is lit
I have terrible handwriting so yes
Favorite fonts?
I will withhold my opinions on your opinions
I shall hold my opinions like a handbag then!
You know that song "Always Something There To Remind Me"? Makes me think of a typewriter.
I hold my opinions like a rock and throw it at a neighbor’s window
I fucking love typewriters so much
That's some aggressive opinions
Times New Roman.
The standard!
I've been typing so long, my handwriting would probably be awful
I visited a bookstore twice a day for 5 days while on vacation specifically to use the typewriter over and over lol
That's... Different
Times New Roman’s classic :)) I like Georgia but the numbers being offset bugs me
I prefer that palatino linotype or whatever the name is
I hate Georgia, on a different principle
Calibri looks gross to me tho
I used to work for a newspaper. Times New Roman was what we used, for good reason.
Frankly, I disagree with this sentiment, something pretty much all art collectors are interested in is who made it
Calibri wack
Smaller font, concise letters
I'm somewhat of a comic sans enthusiast myself
Supposedly there's a couple of more modern fonts that are supposed to be more readable, but the difference is negligible.
It's readable, and it looks very nice
The majority of people on the planet aren't art collectors. They're just goobers who want cool looking stuff on their wall
If it's not Times New Roman, it's Arial
Garamond is what I currently write in, but I’m trying out some others
I do everything in Times New Roman, Bold, 12-point, just for my own failing eyes.
Ronin, who is this anti-drac
Light mode?
Your evil twin or something idk
But I have a freakton of various fonts, including sci-fi and fantasy ones, for artwork and such.
Why have you brought me to this place where mine enemy dwells
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
I'm on the super secret experimental black mode
That's just closing your eyes
If you're on light mode you need to seek help
My pale eyes cannot handle light mode
Finally, one thing we agree on
Light mode is gross.
Okay here’s one: opinions on pizza toppings, go
Like "mmm, yes, I voluntarily wished to be flashbanged"
I will attempt to bond over how terrible light mode is
I'd try anything, but I will pick off watery stuff
Good take
Light mode feels like that really evil sharp mint gum that hurts your entire face for at least 10 minutes before it calms down
I have, and continue to pick off tomatoes and pineapples. Some bell peppers too
All I have to say on the matter is pineapple/ham is a Canadian invention, don't blame us please.
I’m happy in my comfort zone of pepperoni, garlic, and jalapenos
Except it doesn't calm down
I shall blame Canadians for Bieber tho
I like mac&cheese pizza
Why.. put pasta on pizza?

Because
Cheese and sauce only
Cheese is a classic
Cheese is a gross
I like pizza. Anchovies suck, but I'll eat any other pizza.
Mf yours is just cheese pizza with some extra shit in it
That is half of your preferred pizza tho
Someone gave me a slice of pizza at work today, along with some garlic, butter cheese ball bread things
My Italian accent adds credibility
False
Cheese pizza isn't like mac&cheese pizza ar all
There was a meatless meat pizza that I liked, but I think it's been discontinued
You're saying that like all cheese is created equal
My preferred pizza is yes.
So you like processed cheese
Which is incorrect
You’re too cursed to be left alive
I do not like processed cheese. I like to recognize the ingredients in my cheese
Unless it has fish
Processed cheese is for my burgers and nothing else
Yes.
Mushroom swiss burger tho?
Anyone who puts fish on pizza can stay 1000000 miles away from me thanks
grilled cheese also works great with cheap processed slices of "cheese food"
sadly cannot tolerate mushroom textures
Awww
That too
I don't eat shrooms. Too much like cannibalism. LOL
this is one of my favorite pizza toppings

😍
I can't believe this place, I thought it was so cool but it turns out it's filled with terrible opinion havers who hate cursive and mac&cheese
Button capped mushrooms
This is your tailored made hell
I like both of those things but you’re an enemy of the people
I am a delight, excuse you
There was a mac and cheese I liked as well, but it was also discontinued
Just ask ronin
bastards discontinue everything I like 😔
More like De-dark because light mode sucks
My grandfather had beautiful cursive writing
I wish I could write like that
whaaaa? who hates cursive?
i admit i write better in cursive nowadays, than block handwriting (or whatever it's called). mac & cheese, well, it depends. as long as it's not made with wannabe-cheese called american cheese
Aside from my mac&cheese pizza (a gift from on high) I only like pepperoni pizza with mushrooms and bacon
A heathen, a conniving scallywag, a wretched rapscallion
You are a kangaroo wrench, truly
Me, I do not like cursive
But I can't write in any of that legibly, ESPECIALLY if I write fast
Please make me mac n cheese thanks im honbbru
i'm gonna write Drac a message in cursive
Hongry
and Muzzer too for good measure
Cursive looks pretty but im a goon and illiterate
How dare
That truffle zest goes really good on mac n cheese too
munches sweet & tangy BBQ Doritos
What
I'm contemplating Arby's again
Purple bag. It's not that bad
I would kill for fuego takis rn
Takis????
TAKIS
Yeah
so fuckin good
Like little rolls of spice
This place... this cursed pit of suffering... who are you people
I thought I knew you
Just... Don't breathe takis powder
But I've been lied to
Blocked
Takis = cult
Cursive haters, taki enjoyers, mac&cheese deniers
you haven't seen cursed pit, till you've been here long enough to watch #no-mans-steak🥩 tho
Best mac&cheese is from mission bbq
wtf is that
Velveeta shells be hitting tho
I would commit several crimes for mission BBQ mac&cheese
frfr
Velveeta is great.
Velveeta hates you too
how can you hate the cheese you like????
they both processed
They contain little to no milk
Government cheese is THE best cheese, though.
And I pray it stays that way you psychopath
How can cheese be for lactose intolerant people????
want an amazing frozen mac&cheese you can heat up when you're out of time? https://www.amys.com/our-foods/3-cheese-kale-bake-bowl
Green, leafy kale can be truly delicious, especially when mixed into a creamy three-cheese sauce over tender rice flour rotini.
there's a bbq place by me that has amazing mac n cheese
looks super boring and plain, must have some addictive additives
😆
I have a milk protein allergy and that has literally never stopped me
but the microchips 😔
Would rather die than stop eating cheese
I've tried kale... And I've ate lawn clippings and tree leaves... I couldn't tell the difference
Didn't exist back in my day.
That is a good take, my opinion of you is restored
That's what they want you to think
MSG baybeeeeee
My Chinese side approves mightily
Ok the real question is, which mac&cheese noodle shapes taste the best (brand aside)
Is it filling? Hell nah
Does it taste good? Absolutely
this is the most scrumptious self-indulgent mac&cheese to microwave on the go no cap for realzies ong

Classic, shells, the cool race car ones
I don't have an ethnic side; I'm ugly all over. LOL
YESSSS
Yooooooo
I have a small deck of race cards
Lets gooo
If one fails, you have backups
Elbows you harlot
Oh, I'm a mutt. But the joke is funny.
I’m basically upright white bread so I can’t say shit
Sadly, I think white bread is darker than I am
Though the best pasta shape normally is penne
My culture is 13 unseasoned grilled cheeses in one week
Doesn't seem to stop anyone else
Go for it I say!
Home cooking was like "we only have salt, so here is chicken, not too much salt tho, don't want high blood pressure three grains of salt tops
I have four blankets rn, one of which is my weighted one. This is excellent, I feel comfortably smothered
my dna thing says the highest percentage country of me is northern europe so something something sheep and pubs
thats great english right there
I had penne on Friday, with chicken, artichokes, and sun dried tomato cream sauce
I don't really know anything about the two cultures I'm from
Half of my family was here waiting for the other half to get here in boats.
been meaning to fix that
Funny thing is, I'm a part-breed on an Indian Reservation, but it's the wrong tribe.
ay since you mention it, I only a few days ago stopped salting my food, like no direct salt. If I have to season my food it’s pepper or garlic salt so that I don’t pour a fuck ton of salt on it. (Outside of dignified recipes). Baby steps to kick really old habits lol but I think it’ll help me not feel 4000 years old
Garlic... Salt?
I can’t overstate how much salt I put on my airfried food lol
Pale folk all spice

only joking love yall
