Yeah it happens at the anomaly sometimes. I think it's when two ships are meshed together and you clip through. Creating a collision

If you break the physics of your ship through meshing, offsetting or modding it you're going to have weird collision of physics inside your ship.

Yeah. Most decorations can be placed. But there's usually a maximum and minimum size your decorations can be. Depending on where you're trying to place it

If you have that bug happen the easiest way to fix it is to take scaffolding parts and just start placing them all over your corvette. Eventually you will place one and the message about parts not being connected will go away.

Quickly build a chair that you can sit in. Sit down and stand up. Oftentimes it pops you out the top.
It works too if you teleport to a base and end up in your Corvette
If you could store several unfinished designs, that might help a little

Most people just don't take the time to figure out how to build and use Corvettes properly. But once you figure it out it's easy to replicate over and over

other than the spinning while accellerating bug getting reintroduced in multiple patches Corvettes are everything I've ever needed in the game (besides maybe a living ship or landing pads)
About 30 minutes of quickly watching some videos or asking some questions and you're good to go. They are not that deep
some players even complain and wont ever use corvettes bcs they get stuck when teleporting to their bases

Those of us who use these rotation, offsetting and other glitch methods are an extremely small minority of players.
the only killer feature corvettes are missing are teleporters ๐
Out of the millions who play this game you only see a few thousand watching the tutorial videos that explain it

well, that part sucks - the corvette SHOULD be your base replacement (for a rambling guy like me) and also could be solved with a base part that places the corvette 30 feet hovering above the base part when teleporting

I had my Corvette glitch inside of the building my teleporter is in. I was able to get outside and just recall my ship to get it out.
I see a problem in shipbuilding and I use one of many workarounds to make it happen. They see a problem and have to figure out how to make it work.

Breaking build limits, adding parts that shouldn't be on your ship and other manipulative mechanics can always end up breaking the physics of your ship. Or making it difficult to walk around it.
When doing this stuff it's often good to give it some test flights in between the building. Just to make sure you're not breaking your ship in the process

Like if you want to glitch a teleporter onto your Corvette you can. It won't work but it's physically stable. It won't break your flight mechanics.
But a nutrient processor? If you glitch that on your ship you will likely start running into invisible walls. Spinning out of control
So HG can essentially increase the limit a bit and we'd be ok. I'm on PlayStation so mods aren't an option for me.

The breaking build limits doesnt break your physics, but the others yeah
This is also why they took away the method to build vertically by using a base computer. Because it was extremely unstable, breaking ship flight and save files

I have a 400 part ship and the interior and flight is absolutely fine
No the ground-based portable nutrient processor. I tried to put one of those on the ship so I could get away with not using the kitchen. It didn't work at all

You can also place Windows anywhere you want on your Corvette allowing you to manipulate angles wildly. This is currently the only method to easily build vertically anymore

so I use 3 glitch techniques and the temporary hab trick. I feel so ashamed... but it did make my corvette look better.
it's a piece of cake, I think it was CrissCross or someone else who made a three min video - just gotta be in first person turn on flash light and lay two reactors to force you to approach a reactor - line up with the dot on the bottom place a whindow at 45 degree blammo - you're glitching with POWER
Even on console vanilla you can still build vertically. But you have to use the trick where you go out the back of your access ramp in space and place a window over the access ramp. Pointed up

I've done it, and I feel it's too complicated for me. If I have to edit my corvette after doing that, it'd be bad.
Very important part of that which the video does not explain
You want to use the Titan access ramp when you do it. But the decal of the triangle and the light on the roof of the ramp are slightly to the left of center

So if you want to center the window on your access ramp you have to build it slightly to the right of visual center.
Lined up more with the seat of your cockpit then the decals and lights on the roof
it gets easier with practice, but yeah some things like that do get harder if you change your mind mid-build, or sneeze while selecting a vital part that you glitched in place to belin with

You should watch what happens to your maneuverability when you place those. Depending on where I put them on my ship it was kicking it down by 15 to 20 per tank

Yeah the Corvette parts are highly contrasted primary and secondary colors.
This is where base and freighter colors help. Because there's a bigger selection of similar primary and secondaries.

I only use that one because it sticks up more and it's easier to select when it's wedged on your corvette. You can still use some of the wall lockers and panels for your freighter to access those colors
this might still be salvageable...
And then once you place those colors from the freighter you can select the base part object and change it s coloring using wood, concrete, Stone and rust.

I just love how much you can stow away in those Titan Heavy Boosters. Each has a Medusa, Azimuth, 2 Defense Fields, an Infra-knife Platform and a Pyrodrive stuffed into them, and an Arcadia Sublight Thruster attached to it.

That's two Titan boosters, 3 Medusa, an azimuth and a zenith
Yeah, those Titan Heavy's mirror great in between habs. Couldn't mirror them in this build, though.
So, I'm using 2 Titan Heavy's boosters stuffed with the above mentioned.
You can use backwards habs and offsets to fit things into even less space
This is all 4 types of reactor, a phase cannon, a widebody thruster, and an Aeron shield all in the space of 1 full hab length
The Azumith reactor isnโt visible but it is inside of the Zenith
Wait Iโm blind thatโs roughly the same amount of space you used
i have fit 3 of each reactor and 3 shields into 3x1.5 and the same into 2.5x2 with 2 spaces left over and occupied by linkages for the good looks

In this case, just using a half-grid offset. Either of the short dual-thruster pieces will work.
Damn. My idea to build a cruiser with the Aeron Blades serving as the hull instead of Arcadia wings has been foiled. Too much of a gap...
I keep remaking my "main" ship. At some point I think I ought to stop making corvettes and go actually play the game for a bit.
This is the "Void Dancer". Nicely angular silhouette for this one.
Here's my dilemma. That gap is too large imo. No real way to deal with it. Maybe I'm exaggerating and it's not as bad as I think it is. Worst-case scenario, I resort to the base builder to move that entire layer down a bit. I really don't want to do that, though.

I'd love a way to open up habs and offset them horizontally so you could have 2 stacked on top of each other next to a single hab that is between the stacked 2 height-wise and then put the storage modules in the stacked areas to minimize the space required to access all 10 storage parts

I might be stupid as my corvette is wasting a tech slot on the craftable B launch tech since I already got 2 Azimuth reactors and enough other launch drive stuff to not need it. Plus I can then add one more trail to make a + shape of figures and starship trails.

Bah, I just changed my corvette thinking that a part was in the way preventing the landing bay ramp from opening completely. The ramp still opens straight out instead of going down. Frustrating.
Gotcha. Apparently I misunderstood vertical and horizontal flips for ever. I just figured if you were flipping horizontally you were flipping along the horizon. Oops.

It's only supposed to partially open while you are hovering.
While you're hovering it's supposed to create a platform. Instead of a ramp
It does it in space, though, too - I had to add a ladder to access the wreckage in the expedition.
It takes so much space, I hoped it was like freighter where you can move left and right to access them but nope, you must physically access them like a base.
Personally, I hated it ๐
In the screenshot, the camera is in a titan-class loading bay. There is another one right in front of it, which opens up the offset habs.

I condensed my storage down by having the Thrusters go through half of the hab. You can walk on one side to access the storage units.
The hab above the Thrusters is where storage is located.

This is the glitch I have been dealing with since the expedition. During it and out of it on my main save in a different corvette. I can no longer land in stations. Cannot launch exit from freighters.
Itโs making the game unplayable with a corvette. Any help appreciated. Multiplayer has been toggled off and on to no difference.

I made a ticket for them regarding my corvette being invisible and unusable after the breach expedition and copy.
Iโm hesitant to make another one so soon but thatโs not a bad idea.

After the organic ship mission, I went back to the same portal and it was still activate taking me back to the planet even tho I finished the mission a dozens hours ago.

Lift behind the cockpit is so everything, scanning in 360 degree without landing drama or when doing stuff that requires you to find another stuff, that makes things a lot easier coz the place is always like 500u from me

I've never used the lift.
I have the lift there coz of the 360 scanning and coz I find it too long to walk all the way to the cockpit, it makes life so much easier

I mean, not fully start over just until you get access to the space station and see what happens.
You could also change the game style from normal to creative, the game mechanics change when you do that, I would believe that if everything works fine, changing back to normal will fix it.
There is no negative effect on that, folks change to creative move temporarily so they can build corvettes coz you have access to all parts.
I would give that a fair try, hopefully that fixes the game mechanics coz that is what is broken, when it changed from community mode to normal mode

I have that same teleport but within the bridge room taking me outside above the bridge, but since I got the corvette, I haven't spent time going out to notice where it is parked ๐คฆ

The teleporter in the bridge room goes to outside of the fleet control room area, thereโs 2 teleporters outside the bridge going to areas like that on either side of the freighter
I used the slide glitch to make those platforms go all the way out to the corvette landing area
I have mine set up similarly so I can get in and out quickly. I have havs wrapped around each side for the parts of the ship that aren't as time reliant to get to. I also wanted a window to watch for departures and arrivals.
I am so giving my freighter base some love tonight, it drives me nuts how long it takes to beam to the corvette. Everything is already in place, I might just need to move the teleport a bit to the corvette entrance and I am golden

I use my freighter regularly with my corvette to extend my warp range by double
Corvette is missing planet scanners and frigate expeditions, I warp with mine and then get out to explore with the corvette and have full access to the 10x storages anywhere within that system. One complement the other
Hereโs another trick: I used to have the discovery room where the teleporter is, but I started using the glitch techniques and was able to shrink & move the discovery table into the bridge
I am playing NMS as vanilla as possible, the only glitch I am really using which is not really a glitch is the corvette parts offset. Glitch makes life easier but sometimes it gives you hell if you wanna move things around so I avoid them all
Perhaps it is a persistent bug with copying corvetts? Mine was also empty once i copied it from the breach expedition, had to make a new one.
I wonder if it's possible to softlock yourself by selling all your starships except the empty bugged one? Could be funny

To be fair, a lot of players strongly recommend to have a save just for the expeditions coz things can go wrong spectacularly.
I didn't, so far so good ( knocking the wood ), there is one care where the player save went RIP, if you are on PC you can manually backup the save but if you are on console like me, well, there is nothing you can do
Base parts on the outside??? I noticed they are annoying and very few places will accept some or not accept them at all

I finally went over all the side quests and finished "A Trace of Metal" which then allows you to be removed as overseer. It is the only thing I dislike very much, 1h for a bloody building to build and mine kept getting raided by sentinels, now they are on their own for good ๐

This was when I first built mine, there was two rules, 1) its weapon had to go brrr and 2) manouv had to be perfect, I increased from those 1k to 2150 manouv IIRC, it flyes as easy as my sentinel

If the game follows physics properly, having the weapons all the way to the side, they will be forced to be in angle to the center to center the shot so it makes sense you saying it is shooting wider

How do i barter for pieces
That is a very good start, now you need to work on hiding the habs, habs showing makes the corvette to look crappy, spend some time on that and you will notice improvements right away

If you are in free crafting mode while crafting a Corvette you will not get that part back. Even if you place that part from your inventory while you are not in free crafting mode.
In that mode it doesn't cost anything to craft and you are refunded nothing when you destroy something.
So if you used something from your inventory in regular mode and deleted it in free crafting mode it's GONE. Not getting it back.

glitch building
Once you build a circle you can build a Corvette off any angle from that. You don't need a circle corvette. You're just using that circle as a template
That's 6 of the potential angles you can build in. There's 6 more angles you can access in that video
My issue with glitch is that when things don't work, it's a massive pain.
I use base glitch to go beyond 300u like my EM is 800u from my base but teleport to that base blocks you from editing it, I must save and then reload the save to be able to edit within the glitch part.
With corvette, I just wanna put the part down and move on offset is the only thing I'm allowed to use

With corvette you must get used to adding parts as place holder only so you can place down the part you want or operation you want.

I've seen some recent crab posts on reddit so if you have an account you can ask for a video etc if they're willing to do that
Find parts to better hide those hab and flat walls and perhaps add some colour, it will add a big plus

Overall it doesn't sound like you upgraded it much, but you should ignore the ship's damage potential. It is a useless number. What matters is individual weapon damage. My corvette for example, the ship claims sub 200 damage potential, sounds bad, right? Most have ships with damage potential in the 400s or higher...so how can sub 200 be good? The thing is that you can keep raising the ship damage rating by stacking more and more weapons on it but they don't get more powerful by you installing unrelated weapon systems and you can only fire one at a time. My sub 200 damage potential corvette in reality has an infra knife with 240,000 damage potential...and that is what matters...the individual weapon. Your ships damage is only as good as your best weapon.

You can upgrade your currently equipped ship there
Useless to evaluate a ship's potential at less than S class. Once it is S then you can try to gauge stat bonuses.
My total numbers are a result of upgrades including modules, blueprint tech, and corvette tech, laid out for optimal connection bonuses and with some strategic use of the four supercharged slots.
Ah, you must have tabbed over the multitool. Back out of the inventory, pause and unpause the game, then go back to ship without tabbing over the multitool.

In the inventory screens if you tab over the multitool inventory it will make some of your ship and freighter stats disappear.

Only 3 thrusters will show up in your tech inventory....doesn't matter if you install 15 or whatever only 3 will impact your stats.

Yes...you should move the tech for optimal connection bonuses.

Physical size doesn't mean better but you should try to get the ones with best stats to reflect in your inventory if you can.
I don't know what stats they have
You can only see the first three and after that they stop showing you stats but I think later ones replace the earlier ones...they just stop telling you what the stat bonuses are. I suggest sticking to 3 and install the ones with the best bonuses...that gives you some control over what quality upgrades you get.

Cool, from that it goes back to the actual ship design, any flat surface facing the front or parts that aren't very aerodynamic will destroy your manouv count

If you want to upgrade the Tech Slot or Cargo Area of the ship; you need the blue storage augmentation, spend units at the station in the back to upgrade it, use the tech modules trick to add more for free, and or switch it to free cost in the crafting settings to do that

Claim the Blueprints at the anomaly and then you craft them with sentinel resources like Pugneum, Salvaged Glass and Silver

So when all the Tech slots on the corvette are full you go in to the corvette editor and add a piece like a gun or torpedo module, apply the edit, back out check that it added it to the tech area of your corvette and then edit the corvette and delete the module to get a useable slot

Fill all available starship technology slots, but leave out one torpedo, then attach it and if the ship class would allow for another slot, it will make one and add it for free. Remove the torpedo in the builder, exit the builder, and fill the new slot with another mod! Then rinse and repeat until it runs out! Good Luck, fellow Rangers!

You have the "new here" icon, I would suggest you to find a harmonic camp, claim a base, spam the computer to show you the location of sentinels ship, sell them for units and nanites at the space station and as bonus, it might drop spaceship augmentation
