how do i increase tech slots on a corvette?
Is there a way to designate which two weapon arrays become the "primary" arrays when firing? I hate having weapons on the side of my ship activating when I have two in the front I want activating instead.
So its metallic black on the nms color picker?

@raven rover I figured it out! I just had to delete an extra weapon array to get the other two to work. I think whichever weapon has more parts placed, it will have animation priority when firing.

I made the horizontal barrel arms shorter and the tail section longer and moved the outboard wings further back but this is roughly what mine looks like. The current version not seen in this photo is def better I just didn’t grab a pic.

dont forget that there is a cap to how much maneuverability you can get and the best way to increase it is to increase the class of your corvette

I think you could use one of those small attachment points. Then put the engine on. Delete the small attachment. Then add the wing to the main hub

did my best, my knowledge on glitch building is not very good, I don't have all the modules, but have done some thinking and comparing, and this is the best I could get, if anyone can give me tips to get it more accurate let me know.
But you can bypass it a little. For example you can place windows manualy after you hit 100.
Would be cool if they added a Corvette module (some kind of sensor or radar) that allows you to detect Ancient Bones/Salvage Scrap while flying in your Corvette

Hey how is the experimental version as of now?
basically building on top of certain decoration parts lets you offset by 0.5 units in two directions at once
and the rockhopper propellor lets you move 0.5 units forward or back WITHOUT up/down/left/right motion
so you can use it to cancel out the extra direction of the other parts

this let me set my 'main' landing bay back to the thunderbird one which i have at the front. and the corvette landing animation is smart enough to not spin around if your 'main' landing bay is on the front of the ship

yeah but like. You cant finilize a build thats over 100. But you can get it to 100 and then add windows. It will go over the 100 cap but still be useable.

like ive discovered apparently about half the time you're building a corvette until you completely reload its existence elsewhere every single habitat and walkway will only connect to exactly 1 other door, making it impossible to get to the cockpit

anyways ima sleep now, i pray that i havent completely fucked my save file cuz i saved from a save point on the vette on my freighter

i think corvette parts need more placement options (some are locked to between modules or only on sides etc) and maybe more faction exclusive parts would be cool
man I'd love some 45 degree placement parts as well
maybe being able to place reactors inside of catwalks or similar? for aesthetics
some ship builds I'd love to replicate have weapons placed on an angular surface currently not possible with NMS

My Xbox one can handle 100 parts just fine, considering I was able to build up to the literal part build limit of 16K in one base on the same planet without many issues, well, was down 20 fps but still
200 parts or like, 300 parts doesn't feel like it'd be too much a stretch

You can find Storage Augmentations by scrapping A-class and S-class ships, completing Nexus missions at the Anomaly, or from frigate expeditions.
is therey anyone with the corvette propellers, or mag field landing, or some thrusters not lighting up??
From my testing, a max of 4 landing gear will be animated. I'm not sure what the order is, though for which 4 are chosen for animation in the event more than 4 are installed.
On Xbox you have to manually select the tech slot when upgrading storage, it automates to storage but before you hit upgrade you can select a tech slot to unlock it instead
Also, in the event multiple types of landing gear are installed, it seems the standard corvette landing pads take precedence for animation over the mag field ones.

I don’t think it matters really cause you use a cursor on both, will it not let you select a tech slot when viewing which one you’ll get when upgrading?
i can extend technology slots for backpack but cant for corvette
I thought it was terrain, too, but then hovering over water, I still have some on and some off. Doesn't present the problem if not mixing landing gears tho
it seems on corvette that you just gotta class up and install enough stuff for 4th row to appear

Is it just me, or can you not dock Corvettes into your freighter? When I try it, it "docks" somewhere outside my freighter and the landing bay doesn't go down.
cuz i have 4 mag field and 4 properller and one landing gear but only 3 mag fiel and 2 properllers lighting up

You can only have so many before it gets buggy, you’ll notice when placing it it will tell you that it’s being added only for cosmetic purposes and you’ll get no benefits and I think that’s why only some work. Same w engines - for the people talking about some gear not working and what not
