like the shape of a squid ship but the cockpit's between the tentacles lol
1st clips through the structure i have put, 2nd one is great, third one clips with the bellow structure
Oh I don't block my own sight, but I do accessorize a little without hitting the POV lol.
I think most of my ships have an upper layer that I can basically look everywhere, and you can't shoot at my pilot seat without coming from below where turrets are.

That looks like one that I'd keep like that, I can't think of how to do it without fundamentally changing the ship's cool design parts, other than maybe just double everything up in a way

Each has different stats you pursue.
if you mean stats, then you need upgrades for that
Some prioritize other stats to another. Variety choices essentially.
Oh okay, is there a list of what each type prioritises?
The different styles have identical stats I believe, on top of that just pick the reactor(s) that do what you like and add upgrades
Being a corvette
And different visual aesthetics
Look at the parts where you have them and try to place one, it'll show you what it'll do stat wise.
make the corette as you want vissualy and then put some upgrades like this ones , dont worry about hardpoint stuff, they add minimum shields and stuff
We are all busy I think tinkering like mad scientist with our ships or engineers trying not to break designs.
The last part being the most difficult at times.
I only use two turrets for this reason. Everything else I permit.
Kinda need more, but I could fit all I needed

it was weird for me to fire red particles and canons on the corvete to give me blue reflections
so yeah i nerfed myself to photons

good thing about photon canons are that they are more accurate when auto follow auto aim mode then infra knife

at the end of the day, photons upgraded still rip through anything, sure i kill them 1-2 sec slower then infra knife but this aint a hard game, but if you like infra knife use infra ofc its all metter of taste

Like I said, A10 warthog logic. I have a Modified saber from reach I use refractors for flak cannons, rockets, and Infraknife.
if you build a bare bones corvette and then autopilot it around while scanning it goes a little faster
i would have used infra knife if the cannons gave me red relections when i shot not blue as photons but i cant get that so i gota looks for compromise

the corvette creator tells you as much: any module for a given type beyond 3 is cosmetic only
basically, consider them similar to installable tech upgrades. more than 3 and you overload

incidentally, has anyone else noticed that some "hull connector" objects don't appear to drop from salvage and aren't available for trade despite being visible in the editor? specifically the Ballast Tank, Coolant Distributor, Fuel Cell, Plasma Core, Shielded Joint, and High-Energy Ducting
Those are more RNG drops strictly I think.
I've gotten some of em from RNG, but otherwise.

Is it worth it to install mutliple shields/landing gear/reactors and engines till it doesnt give a stat before installing? Do they all "stack" their attributes on top of each other?
i imagine that they do until it tells you any more are cosmetic, so if you have space and it somewhat fits your aesthetic i'd say go for it

Seamless windows on Ambassador habs turn into panelled windows visually
And Titan hab panelled windows have a wall instead of glass
Which is unlucky because the Titan hab panelled windows have the best viewing angle, an actually large plane of glass that doesn't protrude towards outside an entire block

Yea, I would be fine if it was only the neutral colors that you could change to. (i.e Black, grey, white) Just some other choices to match ship exterior if it's wanted.
I'm kinda sad that you can't use the Thunderbird-class landing bay as an alternative to stairs. It's a neat little thing that could've been fun, but the ceiling remains solid, so the elevator climbs up, but your character is blocked π
E.g. titan class looks like Weyland Yutani company. Thunderbird looks like Star Wars smuggler or trader. Ambassador looks like research vessel or just straight up from aliens movie π

Second glitch is when warping, my doors and thrusters, open and turn off for a second and flick back on. Not the end of the world but immersion hurting.
Jumping into a black hole without ur ship should do some, teleport you into a βbackroomsβ planet thatβs just a giant maze you have to go through to find ur ship

you can have multiple corverttes. you can always build a new one and hope they add the feature to salvage it and later salvage it.

are you in first person all shooting comes from your cockpit in first persobn
if your in 3rd you can see them fire but theres a limit to how many fire at a given time
it is coming from the sides where the guns are mounted, not on top. I put the launchers on top and its not coming from up there in first or third person
in 3rd person if you only have 2 photon cannons installed they will fire from those correctly. adding more will not change where they shoot from, ive noticed

How to bypass required parts for your Corvette

Build the ship with the parts needed (reactor/landing pad/weapons/etc), finish the ship. Go to the next crafting bay and start a new ship and move the camera to the back until you see the old ship. You will be able to delete the unwanted parts without triggering the missing parts warning.
Just my opinion, but Iβd say do something about those wings/thrusters there. They donβt really look proportionate to the rest of the craft.
I'd suggest using some spacer parts to move those thruster one block rearward
Which thrusters? I'm scared to touch the big ones because somehow I placed a zenith reactor and a medusa in the same spot behind them and that's really convenient and neat and I know I'll never be able to do it again if I dare touch them

I lost my mind in here last night after watching Alien again last night, watching the scene where they land on LV-426 and seeing that they use an elevator to descend to the surface.
Then I thought βhuh, thatβs weird, no ramp?β Then I read the plans again and realized to my horror that what I thought was a landing ramp on the bow there is not one, rather thatβs another antenna!
Good news is the Thunderbird landing bay is one, better news is that itβll blend in since the first deck is all Thunderbird.
If Iβm reading it right, I think the new landing bay goes right in front of that closest landing gear there.

you can build a super basic one with just basic parts but you dont get much looks out of the parts, and they cost around 15m or so
when you install the torpedo launcher module, it forces you to have cycoletron

or you can farm salvageable scrap from planets and farm a ton of parts and then trade those parts around to get what you want.

Nono, you actually want to create a basic corvette first. Fly very slow on auto-pilot and scan while you are in the ship to find those markers
you can modify your corvette at any time for the low cost of free (not including part/upgrade costs ofc) so yeah go for it

They are only visible in analysis visor but you can use the visor while still onboard
Go into self driving mode then while your ship glides at a slow pace scan as you move and you'll come across one then mark it and fly to it
Then tag them and you can still see them when flying

You can have a corvette with no digging at all if that's what you want
i mean if your uinable to use basic exo craft then your not ready to make corvettes
But if you want a full stock of every Corvette part so you can have full creativity, then you should expect many hours of digging and trading
