I know this is hard to believe but I DON'T have enough thrusters yet. 🥲
I've realized I've happened to have built the top center of this ship in a very eject-able way - but it wouldn't bring any of these thrusters along with it. 😅

There's an exposed reactor anyway, so I guess I'll replace that, lol.

EDIT: I had only considered upwards ejection, not rearwards. Rearward ejection might be able to bring along the two rectangular thrusters..... 🤔

I think you need a clear idea of a shape or vibe you're looking for, then make it from your head into the game. If you did that with this, then I can't say anything bad, except its not my cuppa tea

Think outside the box too, and try not to do something similar to someone else's. Btw you can use the wonder projector to make ships too

sorta yes! i did it for the police force of Aurelis Prime, and im currently doing more projects for that civilisation too - i specialise in making themed unique corvettes for factions and businesses, often in lines like this collection here

i have a few more projects currently open, including individual commissions for a few ppl and a line commission for the Order of the Eternal Shards

all my commissions are paid in units and nanites, i run what im doing here with the intention of making an 'in-universe feeling' ship market cuz i was lwk bummed there was no way to share and sell corvettes ingame

yeah i offset the companion ships by basically extending some hull linkages outward, deleting the connecting ones, and then strategically adjusting and offsetting parts until it counted as connected. the big chunky arcadia wings have a pretty big hitbox so they really helped

Middle one is with modded windows glitching, the usual tricks, i think its possible vanilla but im not sure. Left one is semi blender built, just to enlarge parts and rotate em bcs placing windows for every part is very headache inducing. the detailing is done purely ingame.

yes, and actually even people on console or anywhere without mods can even own modded ships (unless theres a whole other method of making corvettes i dont know about-)

everyone uses either the base building app or the base building blender addon on pc, its basically an editor which allows you to get the NMS pieces and then arrange them in whatever way you want, you can do it at any size and orientation and simply edit the finished ship into your game through a save editor!

ppl on consoles can get these ships through nomansapp, im not sure if theres any other way currently but the community is so peak im sure they'll make new ways

I'm not a construction expert, so can you tell me how you lower an element by 1/4 of the block's height?
I've already figured out how to lower it by 1/2.
Maybe there is some guide on how to do this?

I free place a hab wall like the crew berth on top of a walkway with something to raise the height like a wall or box. Then I attach a walkway to the newly placed wall and start my scaffolding from there. You have to eyeball everything and its probably the hardest of the glitch building techniques

Well, I tried to repeat it, but I realized that I couldn’t do it)) You made a very cool boat.

Here I build walkways off the aeron pillar I want to raise up to match the other aeron wing parts. Then I use a poster and adjusted the size and redid it properly ten times before I got it just right. Delete the part you’re adjusting and all the walkways except the one on the wall unit, and rebuild the support back down into position, but this time it’s 1” up and reinstall the part. Delete walkways and finalize. I did this so the LED lights line up between all 4 sections that make up the outer wings, on each side. Most people would half step and call it good, but I’m not most people

And I did all that to pretty much everything on that ship to fine adjust. 50+ hours now 😅

I forgot to add that you have to setup the bottom of you screen down to the pixel to a line on top of the walkway before you attempt to set it front back left and right exactly in the center 🥴

At first glance, she appears to be a rugged cargo vessel—but a closer look reveals a ship that has been carefully and extensively modified by her owner to survive in the most dangerous regions of space.
On the starboard side, the Polaris is equipped with a powerful external loading crane, specifically built to transport oversized cargo that cannot be stored internally. This allows the ship to carry heavy machinery, containers, or unconventional freight externally, securely fastened for long-distance travel. Inside the main cargo bay, there is ample room for smaller crates, modular containers, and general freight, making the Polaris highly flexible in its logistical role.
What truly sets the ship apart, however, is its sensor suite. The owner-installed sensor phalanx goes far beyond standard civilian specifications, providing situational awareness that is quite simply beyond anything reasonable. Behold - the nastiest flying brick you've seen and my first corvette, the default-named JJ4 Wakkai! Taking advantage of the lack of both parts and knowledge of what I'm doing, I relished in the scrapped-together vibe and used what little I got to slap together this weird, asymmetrical abomination!

Is it impressive looking? No. Not in the slightest. It's literally a pile of garbage compared to everything else here. But it's a bundle of scraps that somehow manages to perform interplanetary space travel, and that's pretty cool!

I think that design has potential. Just need to keep working it.
I did a pod racer but deleted it. I put a hab down where I wanted the engines, added a cockpit on the end, added the engines, then removed the hab and put the cockpit on the hab behind it. Added cables from base build construction to make the tie in to the hab. Bit of a pain but it worked Here is pics to help you along.

there's a plugin for blender that lets you build bases and corvettes externally and import them into the game afterwards, a lot of the great big huge elaborate corvettes are built with that iirc

Interior needs some work of course.

There's some small water leak... somewhere in the system, but it doesn't cause any system failures so I don't bother tryin to fix it. Plus it smells nice in engineering thanks to them.

I decided to Build the Galactica from Battlestar Galactica series. Due to the 100 item limit this was as close as i could get and keep it a good functioning Combat ship. It as a command center on the bridge, med bay, sleeping quarters for the crew, a Kitchen and garden so the crew does not starve. It also has all 10 storage containers. Plus, for those who like to farm nanites It has 18 refiners for mass refining of Running Mould to make Nanits. I spent 30 minutes collecting over 1 mil Running Mould and another 30 processing it into 340,000 nanites. For weaponry it has Beam Weapons and rocket launchers. The Beam Weapons just melt targets. Even upgraded it to S class.

No Blueprints or file editing.

This is the MT8 bayame. It is a small corvette laden with supplies and room enough for 3 people. When you enter you are in the cargo hold. Go to the left and you are in the lounge. Go to the right and you are in the medbay. On the second floor there is the dining room at the front. 2 bunks in the middle. And at the rear is the kitchen. The 3rd floor is the captains deck, with the cockpit, navigation wall, captain's photography supplies, and the third bunk.

I travel alone. A member of the EAG, I wander the stars of Euclid taking photos as i go.
