Thanks, I was inspired by another picture here; it was a much bigger ship, but the camera angle at the front end of the other ship made it look similar to what I've done here. I've also been trying to build the smallest corvettes I can - I started with a 1 hab design and this one is three. stats aren't bad considering its size. It's good good damage, great manoeuvrability, decent warp, but throw a balloon at it and shields crumble 😄

messed about for 30-45 mins in creative and made this, looks decent, might make it in normal. I will call it "The Spear of Misery" (idk sounded cool). any suggestions for improvement?

Made a few improvements; aligned the engines, which helped the look a lot. And moved the guns down from the roof to make it more sleek. Might need to dump the torpedoes though as they over-complicate the front. Would really like more than one landing gear too. Perhaps a solid one would look better. Or, I can shorten the lower cowling and put another thruster there. Overall, I'm pretty happy. (edit, forgive the lighting - had to brighten the image up as I play in VR at only 80% gamma)

it's good to be cryrical of your own work too. I'd say, keep messing around till you find some things that looks good and in the end try to combine those aspects into one cohesive build. This is for the guy asking about venator ships, it’s more star destroyer than venator but it’s Star Wars stuff

That forth picture you put up inspired me to make a ship loosely base off the image. That glowing globe was a bit of a challenge, but I figured out something for it. Originally I tried to make a ship closer to what was posted, but instead I experimented with pieces and eventually put together this. Painted yellow to match the globe piece better. I placed the energy weapons into the wing sides and top. Having matching arsenals on each side of the ship made combat more visually appealing when firing. I will probably keep this corvette around for enjoying it so much. Hope the ideas in this one helps with making your own version.

Also hope everyone else digs this one too.

The med bay (we have two of them), the kitchen (a bit bare for now), and the cafeteria

I built two Corvettes: Black Falcyn & Haell Hvaleyrr.

The Black Falcyn, the plane-like one, was inspired by the SR-71 "Blackbird". The Haell Hvaleyrr is a cross between a Helicarrier and a dieselpunk/retro-military fortress, with a touch of industrial sci-fi.

Soooooo I built a new corvette and I'm pretty proud of the design..........however when I went inside I realized for some reason all the pieces are scaled the fuck up to the point where I can't place ladders inside without it hanging off the ground and for some reason there's no way to get into the cockpit

Keep in mind, its also very difficult (especially with the current amount of hull decoration) to completely fill out all of the space on a bigger ship. Its very easy to not have any "dead space" on a tiny ship. Hopefully with future updates, they give us more to work with.

You’d be surprised how much we can achieve if you just try and wing it. Funny fact. I was nearly done with this build and my game crashed… had to start over after 4 hours of work. Learned my lesson

Best advice is just trial and error, play around with placing and rotating and deleting. It’s possible, I promise! I did it so anyone can!
