I don't have that experience, it is fairly easy to find class-a stuff, class-s staff is also pretty straightforward, the main problem is colour so if you aren't picky, it is pretty easy to find class-s staff

if you use carrier ai fragments to hunt sent ships instead of echo locators you can go much faster, dont have to farm locators, and the reload means you have infinite tries on the fragment before you grab a ship you like
I've found a few class a ships but never a tool yet better than b
s tool cabs are rare but you can always upgrade when you find a style/color you like

for units i like using baked goods and scanning, easy few billion units per hour and you dont have to spend all the time scrapping ships

if the dissonant system does not have 3 stars, you are most stuck to c and b stuff, a and s class is hard asf

its just those 2 weapons that can spawn there but for regular station cabinets, if you find an S and want the mt, you can do reloading to spawn different ones, but you have to go to different planets to cycle the item pool you cant just do it at the station or camp

don't do it if not 3 star system, to farm both ship and weapon which is easy to get class-a stuff and staff class-s, but like you said, wrong channel

@ancient junco so it is weird how you got so many class-c weapon. They say here that 3 star system gives a ton of class-c stuff but that isn't really my experience so why I don't even bother jumping to 1 and 2 star dissonant system anymore.
@tired zenith personal preference, I like to find things myself coz that is the fun part of it. If you don't wanna bother, use glyphs portal to get a class-s and call it a day.

Nope, only pirate controlled. Normal systems only are either 1, 2, 3 stars. Some system are unclassified or something like that aka dead systems where you get those synthetic robots companion

@ancient junco i have an A class multi-tool from a sentinel pillar after i defeated all waves of sentinels first from 1 star to 5 star, then the stars went blue and the planet was without sentinels. Then i went to the sentinel pillar, destroyed its turrets, went into the console, read the archives etc first, then got the tech stuff
I haven't seen the stars go blue, but otherwise have done that
Just means they used the option to disable sentinels (through the pillars computer/ interface)

Even differnt placement of the liked tech when they are all together can change. I slapped a bunch of Pulse Engine tech/upgrades together and then rearranged them a few different ways and I was getting differnt number depending. @dull oriole

adjanacy is weird but when it clicks it clicks. In short and minus some other tidbits, they only boost what they are touching. So you want your best mod usually the main tech to be surrounded on 3 ends with its upgrade modules.
from what ive read, its best to avoid + shapes with the mod setups

Move the scanner in the upper left corner down to the scanner upgrades and it should increase your scanner range.

Glyphs show only system and planet address. Atlantid mt are found only on korvax monoliths and only after doing late game quest. So need +- planetary coords to find the spot on the planet where mt is.
If that "alien" mt was on space station maybe try to land on one of the planets. save . Reload save and go back to station and see if mt in cabinet changed.

Guys are multitools charged slots random always or do specific multitools from specific space stations always have the same ones, I'm trying to find one with 4 charged slots next to each other to make a better multitool than my current 80k damage one
Specific mt cabinet will have specific sc slots layout.

I like that style, of the ones I've seen so far.
SC slots is up to you. At very least you should try to get SC slots that are on the edge of your tech slots, because its cuts their usefulness in half.
Some people like to have the SC clustered so they can pimp a single tech, but thats up to you. I prefer a more balanced distribution of slots with room to support separate tech
yours is fine though. slots are better than the MT I use

Coords I can't find again, just use the max upgraded exocraft radar, continue searching if you don't like the supercharged slots, the other cosmetic stuff stays the same if you warp into the system through the space station. Planet is Rokend Minor, system is Noogata if the portal doesn't take you there immediately
i actually got an A class that color matched my character for the first staff i got, took me about 2-3 hours of re-rolling and i landed on a gold mine the last roll before i accepted a B class

I made a staff with the colors I want but it's only c class, is upgrading staff to s class just as good as finding one?
Base damage on Staves is literally just dependent on how/where S Class was acquired. 483.3 for nat S regulated, 416.7 for nat S outlaw, 433.3 for anything upgraded to S
However these small Changes in base stats are negligible in the long run and won’t have much of a noticeable change to your gameplay.
As long as you like how it looks you can improve the tool by applying better equipment/modules.
Dependent on what the tool is being used for, different types of tools do have a proficiency in certain areas, in this case Atlantid for mining and staff for damage.
Those these class bonus are negligible and you would be better off investing in a tool you like then applying better quality modules with better stats.
Once you have completed the quest, “they who returned” there will be a node glowing purple (discordant interface) on the monolith platform that you have to interact with and input atlantideum in three glyphs, doing so will allow you to claim the Atlantid tool.

guys look at the atlandid tool i found! it was a class i instantly made it S and bought some expansion slots, 3 supercharged slot one after another (sorry for the brightness, its an issue i couldn't solve on screen shots :D)

Forbidden multitool modules (sentinel modules) obtained from destroying sentinels and looting barrels to obtain salvaged glass which can be opened to sometimes give you Sentinel weapon shards or sentinel exosuit fragment

There really isn’t a “best” go for a tool you like the look of over base stats, base stats have a very small variation from tool to tool, you’ll barely notice a difference, the difference comes from applying better quality modules with better stats.
In the pinned you can find what tool types are proficient in certain areas (class bonus) and the optimal layout for the best adjacency bonus and supercharge layout, I would suggest looking at the latter and applying it to your current tool as most modules in that tool are under-utilised in adjacency.

Mods can allow various access to unlock rewards, the consumerism mod allows you to buy expedition rewards for quicksilver.

Reruns, rerun pattern only has the current years expeditions rerun at the end of that year, previous years don’t get a rerun after, only two expeditions have had reruns outside the normal, 1 was because mass effect had its anniversary and another did but it’s rewards were not the same.
If you relied on reruns this year you would get the pillar of titan staff and the basilisk crown staff.

The nanotubes and hermetic seals? If you hover over something you want to install and press E (at least on pc) it shows you a diagram of things you need to install it and if you don't have the materials for the thing you want to install but do have the raw materials to craft those you can click on them to craft them, which deposits them in the multitools grid (or wherever you do it, same thing happens on ships, your exosuit, etc.) and if you cancel out of the screen without actually crafting the end result, they just stay there. (not the person asked, but it has happened to me before)

Both the other S class pulse splitter upgrades plus the open one.
Update managed to get damage output to over 12k, that's my first in class multi-tool for fighting. Managed a quad pretty handily, plus a number of those smaller versions.
Love the model, just for an fyi the forbidden (sentinel) modules only work for the boltcaster.
Once upgraded to S you never know that 4th SC slot could be in a pretty good location

Is there general consensus on which weapon type is best? So far I've only really focused on blaze javelin bc the stun upgrade is so powerful and running on carbon instead of managing ammo seems easy. Suggestions on which to try next?

I enjoy the Pulse Spitter, but you need to carry ammo for it.
Neuron cannon is pretty good. Sufficient damage and easy to charge
Pulse splitter is also good
Bolt caster have highest number in tech family so it can get more ad bonus than other, but you can only notice this weapon deal more damage and kill faster when play in higher difficulty setting. As for normal setting all weapon seem deal similar so it more preference

My Pulse Spitter shreds everything, Boltcaster does a bit, Blaze Javelin does basically nothing
Cycled a few others but idrk exacts and none of them were doing much of anything

I can take out Sentinel Walkers in around 20 seconds and I genuinely dont know if it gets much better than that
My upgrades arent even optimized just 2 random S classes and a decently high roll X class

Update for mt seekers. I visited every Kofax system in my recent list and none were the right ones. I can only surmise that it's in one if these two abandoned systems which don't show up on the teleporter list.
Just portaled to both, neither is the one. Apologies not able to help here.
On the flip side I took it into a Nexus mission, hack a sentinal tower, solo and were it not for running out of ammo would have made it. 1200 pugneum, a hard frame engine, and 11 shards of glass but no quicksilver grrr.
That's interesting. Blaze javelin takes a while for sure but it's got infinite ammo and with the stun upgrade i never get hit even with its poor damage. Seeing the other options have enough damage the target can die before you get hit rather than being stun locked would definitely be nicer
I use my blaze javelin for long range, it’s way more accurate than the pulse splitter and I can charge it up to max power before I fire it
But my pulse splitter shreds pretty much everything else, and I can stun-lock sentinel quads and walkers with the paralysis launcher

Any, it’s the upgrade modules you install for a chosen weapon you use that will make the difference.
Each multitool does have a proficiency in certain fields these class bonuses can be seen in the image below. The bonus itself is negligible and really won’t make a huge difference, but that option is there for min/maxing players.
would this be good enough? also should i have multiple multitools for multiple weapons or is just one for the scatter blaster fine
i also have a rifle with 30 slots but its a-class and im not sure if it would be worth it to upgrade class
Up to you, I tend to normally have two or just package up core modules that I don’t normally use, I mainly use the pulse spitter for it’s high ROF makes handling sentinels easier. The scatter blaster is fine tho just depends on what those modules stats are, the burst cooldown stat can give a great advantage along side fire rate. you can check highest stat rolls in your catalog and guide them in technology.
With your module placement try placing the same type of module more in a box (most sides touching each other) this gives you a better adjacency bonus. See the below image.
Either or, if you prefer the other one then why not, but depending on your stage in the game those nanites might be better used elsewhere while you do have an unfilled S class already. But A class if fine no reason you couldn’t use it even now.

Better layout for the SC means more of a bonus so I would say that’s a good switch, supercharge your core tech first then use any other sc slot for additional modules.
The rule of thumb for SC Slots is for weapons (and sentinel ships minus antigravity well) you SC core tech first and for standard tech you supercharge Modules.
In addition to that don’t take the damage potential stat on your multitool to mean anything, Damage Potential stat on multitools is a value calculated by the game including the damage innate bonus. This stat is for your strongest weapon but keep in mind that this stat is not how much damage a weapon is doing, it’s not a damage ceiling.
If you want to know how much damage a weapon is dealing turn damage numbers on in your settings.

Yeh core tech is just the main weapon/tech itself some of these are always pre installed on the tool/ship itself or require its instalment in order for the player to use it (pulse engine, photon cannon, mining beam, Ect) procedural modules are any modules where their stats are generated based on seed (aka generated once the player installs the module, you buy these from stations or get them as loot) and a blueprint modules is a module the player can install themselves from an unlocked blueprint (either by the anomaly or completion/progression of a mission

I was wondering on those stats and how much they change max numbers once packed with tech. i was mainly thinking about a dedicated mining atlantid to maximize output, as the damage once can achieve is so high anyway, i don't feel much of a difference between my sentinel and other weapons. But if that base value is negligible in the grant scheme of things, a single weapon will be easier to handle.
U can just upgrade it to S tier in any space station

Forgot to take a before pic, but firerate op. My dmg was 10k. Dropping 2% dmg from 2 sent mods and replacing them with fire rate pumped my dmg 8k
Lol 2 secs later got an sent mod with 3 stats vs 2 so i was able to replace one of the bad ones

I have a Royal and a Sentinel, im using the Sentinel mostly because of damage. My question is if its possible to pack the hi-jacked laser technology from the sentinel one and put it on the Royal. The sentinel one allows you to also install a normal laser module so you get a bonus also for that. I'm about to pull my hair out over this. I think the bases people have set up to 'helpfully' point it out are messing up the Harmonic Interface. It's already disabled when I get there, no matter where I reload, and doesn't allow for unlocking the Multi-Tool, but the Multi-Tool is still locked up. Is there a way of unlocking it that I might not have thought of yet?

Nope. Sent me to another camp, that was not the right version of the gun (C class, the one visible SC was in the wrong spot). Another Echo Locator from that camp sent me to the RIGHT camp, but the terminal still thinks the cabinet is unlocked when it's not.

Could also be bugged since your game saved while mp was active so it will remain like that for a bit, especially if some had a base to close and glitched it out. Can always report that its bugged out

I started another save for the expeditions only, I don't wanna finish the main storylines to get access to the staff.
I was thinking, Atlantid is only within a Korvax system but I don't remember if it is behind the main storylines.
The third option is the sentinels rifle, I am pretty sure Murphy's Law will make me find class-c only.
I just wanna replace the boring class-c little gun with something more fun/damage to bring in during expeditions.
Sentinel rifle is very expensive to fix with a fresh save too

You need to finish Artemis Path up to and including The Purge, which unlocks Autophage quest.
That unlocks Atlantids and Staffs.
If you're lucky, you can rush the path under an hour.

You do not need to fight at all, be further than 150m (iirc) and sentinels won't even detect you when you crash down the thing.
For repairs, cheaper ones do yourself, for harder ones get to pirate systems and buy repair units. Whatever the name is.

I installed pulse spitter with the upgrade you get from Anomaly and voila, found an inverted mirror and echo together ( that is pretty much my experience on the main save hunting resonator btw)
I got a class-c sentinel riffle, that should do it for future expeditions. I bought the repair kits at pirate stations and voila, fixed everything.

remember that is not the true dmg of said MT, that is a culmilation of our your weapon types and their mods. If you want to get better ball park range for your weapon, you will have to remove all other weap/weap mods
Damage potential on ships is calculated based on all weapon systems installed, for multitools the damage potential stat is calculated on your strongest weapon installed.
Removing modules wouldn’t provide the player with how much damage their tool is doing, instead turn on damage numbers, this will provide a more accurate way to tell how much damage a weapon is doing per shot comparative to another.
Removing all tech influencing damage potential can be helpful to compare two multitools or two ships against each other.

You can exploit quicksilver purchases tho, any purchase made with quicksilver, is stored on your account not save, not including void eggs, fireworks ect.
You can exploit this by saving then purchasing quicksilver items then reloading your save to get back that QS while those items will be available to claim.

Yes, their class can higher than C, their class chance is determined by system economy, same for ships class.
Stats, slots including SC slots and class will change on different staff head application and cabinet, but the colour won’t change on different staff head like it did prior to relics it does require some playing around.
The guide I attached below details how you can change that colour based on location you stand around the terminal/cabinet.

There can be, each time you get a new seed at a new location around a synthesis terminal it can be any class with the percentage chance matching the system economy.

Change over the head to the radiant heart, won’t be the same stars, class or layout however the colour will be the same.

Because relics messed up staff generation, when searching player discoveries for staves any staff published by players prior to the relics update it’s highly likely that staff seed is no longer at the terminal.
Safe to assume any find after the 26MAR25 has been found post relics will be at the terminal or as the OP has described.
That should work, was only posted in July.
Colour and looks, it will take up 25% of your screen so hopefully you like it enough to look at.
All other factors are negligible, base stats make no major difference your individual weapon or tool modules make the larger difference, class can be upgraded along with slots, only thing you can’t influence will be SC slots. Can have that as a secondary focus if you want a good layout.

I've been seeing a fair amount of these experimental pistols lately usually on just one side of the vendor but have yet to see a rifle. Have an A class similar to that in white archived, just to have you know. Not that I would ever actually use it.

It takes a lot of rolling cause most of the time they will be worse than S but if you get lucky, they make a difference especially in supercharge slots
Some weapons are easier and quicker to roll than others as they have less stats to draw from, 4 for pulse spitter vs 6 I think for boltcaster as an example

The highest potential damage in vanilla is somewhere around 200k. Using a MT with high base damage, 4 SC slots together and a nutrition cannon with 3 max stats upgrades. Most important is the charging speed value. I have opened hundreds of upgrade modules to find them. But once find 1, you can copy it with the personal refiner glitch. Or copy your MT on a expedition and bring the upgrades back.
But in the end, it's just a displayed number.
A fully upgraded boltcaster has a quarter of that damage potential. However, it kills sentinels more quickly.
That's scary, playing around without a super buffed neutron cannon i found it works pretty well. If a bolt Caster works better... wow.
The same happens for corvette ships with the phase beam. It beats the infra knife accelerator.

So by now I have thoroughly specialized my multi-tools. First for appearance sake, having gone full General Grievous. The second is when doing salvage containers. Third is mining. Fourth is weapon. However I have questions regarding two of them. The Atlantid doesn't seem to give damage for the mining laser, yet kills on contact it seems and Never needs to be cooled. Is it actually a better weapon than number 4? The other question is even though the damage numbers on 4 are my highest for any of the tech is it the best use of an L sc layout or would the boltcaster or pulse splitter be better used?

It doesn't really matter. Choose one that looks cool. Because every MT works. Only if you want to specialising your MT, you have to watch to the class bonuses.
I prefer the staff. It has well class bonuses for damage and scanning. But the mining bonus is lower than atlantid.
Here the class bonuses:
I finally pulled an atlantid and specialized it for mining. It's absolutely ridiculous that it's like 5x faster than what I was using and I refill it so rarely I'm surprised when it runs out
The Scan bonus is for scan range, not bonus units for scanning flora fauna or minerals. So honestly you can probably ignore that.
I think you could optimise that a bit more. I don't quite understand what you want to do with the ‘Zehbys chrono analyser’. Can't you open the salvage containers with the Atlantis MT? You have the scanner upgrades on the scattered SC slots. But royals and experimental MTs have better class bonuses for scanning.
I would suggest the following:
For weapons, a staff or a sentinel MT.
For scanning, a royal or experimental MT, and for mining, the
atlantid MT.
I think the Atlantid MT is less suitable as a weapon than a staff. But you can try it out.
With an SC-L layout, I would probably use the Boltcaster. The Boltcaster has more upgrades, which allows you to take better advantage of the adjacency bonuses.
That's true. And it's the reason why i using mostly the staff and the atlantid for just for mining.
The Chrono is mostly for the range on the scanner. I don't have to move as often to find containers at 2.5k ou. True the Atlantid melts the containers and anything else. Still waiting for a royal or experimental.
I'll try swapping in the boltcaster for a few freighters.

Yes! That is the class bonus in %. The damage bonus increases the damage of weapons. The mining bonus increases the speed at which resources are mined. The scan bonus increases the radius of the area covered by the scanner's quick scan mode.
Based on your advice I swapped around the tech on the royal and a just acquired staff thus, although much work on the staff needed. Not even any quality suspicious tech on scanner. I figure I can probably get another 25% range if I'm lucky at an outlaw station.

It's not that easy. Every weapon type has a thing they have a high bonus for. Though rifles and pistols aren't the very best at anything, rifles improve damage more and pistols improve scanning and mining more.
But what is the main weapon you use and how much damage dose it do.. for the number you are showing just shows you threw a ton of things on it.

Question and maybe system for quality S class mt. Last 2 multitools I have upgraded, A to S, both behaved the same when adding slots, first slots added ended up sc slots. Sample rate is too small to verify behavior. Is this consistent? If so wouldn't it be quicker to find a C class with open spots next to the existing sc upgrade straight to S, then add slots next to existing sc?

the potential dmg is higher on yours due to it counting your pulsesplitter and bolter, they would be the same stats if all mods were removed. So its more of SC placement at this point. I see your current one having better potential as you can encircle your sc slots. the one on the shelf has two sc on the side, limiting your adj potential with it

I'm going to try answering my own question above. Got this experimental rifle just now as a C class. I've upgraded to A without adding any slots. One more upgrade, probably after next expedition, and then I will try adding first four slots at the end in a T format. If all goes well first four will be sc slots.

On a more positive note Scan It, my Royal, is now primarily completed from a scanning perspective. Full stats are,
Flora: 37495
Fauna: 25945
Minerals: 34136
Scan radius: 6330
Some minor improvements may occur but no longer chasing suspicious tech just for.

The S one is a tool you get from completing They Who Returned. The A upgrade kind of looks like just a normal scanner upgrade, but I could be wrong.

I was working on upgrading an A class sentinel multitool I found not realizing the royal is mostly better for what I want (I have a twitch reward alien MT for combat)
Apparently even finding a sentinel pillar is hard let alone a royal multitool

i got a question what are the best things to install into a multitool?
I fuuuuucked myself yesterday and traded for a multi tool that didn't have the ability to terrain manipulation. What the best/easiest way to go about getting that on my new multi tool?
My opinions (others may differ) . Initially you need the mining beam scanner terrain manipulator and any weapon. Mostly you get all these with any new weapon. After that I like the scatter blaster as my weapon with as many upgrades as you can get. Beef up the scanner with the advanced scanner module ( so you can detect gas/mineral hotspots etc.) You will need the fishing rig at some point but no rush. If you are short of cash, some scanner mods increase the credits you get for scanning animals/flora and rocks. There is an updgrade that makes you invisible for a few seconds if you are fighting a lot but I find this a bit of a distraction (its called "cloaking device").

Need to complete the main story.
"Normally" at this point you would also need a settlement but somehow a related side quest would pop up, that one should chain or at least open up autophage.
First you need to finish Artemis Path, up to and including The Purge (allegadly you can skip new beginnings but I haven't found out how). Then you'll get random event when ship gets infected by something full of Greek letters.
As part of quest you'll get basic staff and Autophage detector.
After questline you can just search for them, do quests for void motes and exchange motes at terminals for staff parts and build them there.
I also recommend checking how to reroll staves.

you do have to finish both Atlas and Artemis paths, but I don't think you need a settlement any more

autophage quest is triggered by getting Echo locators. I had trouble getting them to drop on dissonant worlds but if you know somebody who has them ask them for a few. 4-5 should be enough to get through quest.

Echo locators locate harmonic camps, once you lift the seal (gain access to the terminal by completing the small puzzle) all you have left to do is the Artemis questline

I've found two sentinels before finishing Artemis and while Echo Locators lead to harmonic camps, Autophages weren't revealed and terminal haven't allowed any mote trading.

||No, after a core warp tech installed on your exosuit and current active ship and multitool will be damaged meaning you need to individually repair each tech item.
In terms of mitigating the most tech the player would need to repair It is irrelevant of what ship/tool type and class is used but what is installed on them plus quantity.
Generally it’s best advised you have a “scrap” tool and ship equipped that has minimal tech or one you just don’t really care about that can be used for core warping.
Alternatively you can just package your installed tech and reinstall after the core warp to avoid it being broken.||

In the beginning it's whatever fits, in lategame, favorite choices are Atlantid for mining, staff/sentinel for damage and royal/experimental for scanning.
I personally have Atlantid and staff, because I don't care about scanpulse range that much.

If by exotic, you mean royal (a specific type of multitool), then they're only at sentinel pillars
If by exotic, you mean S-class in general, then outlaw systems have the highest S-class chance at 5%. You can also follow coords from other people or class upgrade a tool with nanites

Id grab s tier scan upgrades from vendors if you scan a lot, hunt for 4 stat rolls. Mining is borderline pointless past early earlygame, terrain manipulator does the biggest work and doesnt have mods
What about weapons to get nanites early on to get mining and others?
if you hunt sentinels, you can get sentinel mods that sell for a lot of nanites. But youd have to be comfotable with combat for that
I started the game today so no idea what's priority or what to focus on first.
just follow the main quest a bit, it unlocks a lot of free techs and tools
its a good idea to test the weapon options in your multitool to figure out what you like, then you can get the mods for that specific one
but you might not have other than the boltcaster yet so dont worry bout it

For multi-tools I see the class bonuses for mining, damage, and scan displayed on the wiki. How do I see in-game what real stats my multi-tool has? I'm assuming it's a roll that lands within a range, and I'd like to know how I can see that.

That looks like you've only got half the tech slots open. You can have up to 60 slots
All s class multitools can have a maximum of 60 slots

You can purchase staff components from autophage terminals in autophage camps for void motes.
Note that different terminals offer different parts, so not everything is available from every terminal

I would suggest checking out the coordinates exchange on both Reddit and discord, use the search function to find specific tools with these parts, Because relics messed up staff generation, when searching player discoveries for staves any staff published by players prior to the relics update it’s highly likely that staff seed is no longer at the terminal.
Safe to assume any find after the 26MAR25 has been found post relics will be at the terminal or as the OP has described.
Alternatively I attached a guide a while ago detailing how the current staff seeding works and how to abuse this. Can try that.

Is having a neutron cannon and a blaze javelin on the same tool a bit overkill, or do they have some synergy?
I couldn’t help but notice neither of them run off of solid ammo, only hydrocarbons

Neutron Cannon is my go-to for fighting since you can go spamming shotgun-style or charge shots (which is rly fast with good technology)
Honestly depends on wyw, but I usually only use neutron cannon and sometimes a bit of boltcaster/pulse spitter, and ofc terrain manip, mining beam and fishing rig

Atlas sceptre is a reward for completing expedition 12, a player cannot trade you this or give any parts to construct it.
By referring to a seed I assume you may be using a save editor, if using goatfungus you can simply change your tool type to that of the atlas sceptre. Alternatively I can see if I can find the tools ID.
Currently using a Sentinel style multitool, those are supposed to be “balanced” right

Also like to point out that Upgraded to S the base damage is 433 vs 483 for natural S, this difference is minimal in the grand scheme of things.
S Class black and red Atlantid! I found this on the Steam Deck so I just couldn’t get a screenshot of the coordinates (conflicting buttons) but there’s a communication station at the specific monolith. I chose the second option!
(Also, bonus, but there’s a B Class black and red interceptor about 500u or less away, further inland!)
Anyone ever seen a bug with sentinel multitools where the model changes between a 1 hander and a 2 hander?
I just found this A class Rifle Multitool in Euclid, System: Gobialin at the space station that has a near perfect X class Scanning module for about 4.6 million Units. Portal to System, you'll landed on Atom 46/H2, do not reload and just go to the space station.
Multitool can change in cabinets at space stations or Harmonic camps depending upon where you spawn in or reload your save file

well that's why when you reload it changes; if it had a style or class you wanted then you'd have to turn off multiplayer, mark that spot with a save beacon, Fly to a different planet in that system, reload and fly back to that save beacon/spot without reloading to see what spawns in that cabinet.
Each planet in that system including the Space station can change that style of MT in a cabinet

Yes, only ones i believe that dont take a hit from stats are sentinel
Each multitool type has a range where the stats can fall, in outlaw space, they tend to be the bottom end of the range.
For example s class alien damage is 25 to 35, in outlaw space it will tend to be near the 25.
Does scrapping a higher tier multitool have a higher chance of better drops from it?
For Atlantid tools, you do get more Void Motes from them, not sure about the other tools, never paid any attention

Q: I seem not be able to scan some minerals and flora with my Pilar of Titan, no idea why, it was working fine but after doing Relics and got this other staff, i am not sure if that is the reason why it fails so many times to scan minerals or flora, not even sure if fauna works... I got these modules installed, i packaged 2 to make sure they are not effecting the main one, i put the main one [quantum prediction] in the supercharged slot, it increase the rewards of course, but still not able to scan, it does work sporadic, so i wonder is there anything else involved like a timer or so, still a complete newbee in this game and using the Xbox Series X.

I don't see any reason why your scan would fail, apart from maybe that the aiming system in this game can be a bit wonky at times, I suggest that whenever you are trying to scan something through the visor, the description of the item you are looking at should be populated by question marks, not by information of the thing you are looking at, because the latter means you have already scanned that type of mineral/fauna/flora and cannot scan it again
If the last spot on the row below your x rank blaze javelin upgrade is a super charged slot, it's fairly decent
