I think they were referring to the specific kind of minimaps you were using, not minimaps as a whole.

But yes, most of the allowed stuff like single spell macros (1 full spell input per key, not continuous cycle of spells) or auto melee when holding down a button (not toggle) are allowed because of accommodations, despite that most people not just the people who need them still use them cause it's easier.
