yeah but the narrative has to be compatible with the game format
respecting player choice and crap
It is what it is that why I speak from assumption that like
Quest get remake like in lootrun update
I really don't see this working unless the player either gets a general order to help around wynn randomly or is more of a mercenary type deal
It is hard to get it work cause the way Wynncraft quest work is just
Worn against the premise theh gojng for
Wynncraft story would benefit from having monuments like progress
yeah well that's not what the server is and we have to work around that
by the time the player reaches Gavel, then kinda have to be able to act on their own without orders
heck by the time the player starts doing stuff on random islands in ocean
so realistically we have to have an excuse to get the player out of the army before level like 25
Yeah but that also very unrealistic cause like
That so soon
Like no way Wynn gonna let you go at that time range lol
ik
that's the issue I want to work around somehow
That why I always see side quest as free time the player use
Like they did not do those under the title of soldier
generous free time to cross the entire ocean, do something, and come back in
It is lol but it like
Better than the alternative
Wynncraft progression just way too fast for its story
Straight up almost impossible to tell reasonable story with wynncraft progression
maybe if we had an excuse
first general order after first like 2 quests is to generally just help out aroudn the wynn province
then eventually they get an order to unlock the seaskipper telling them to go do stuff in ocean or smthn, then later an order to go to gavel on deployment
Ocean could be about like
Trying to establish order to it because
This is part of my wartorn project
But in thst project selchar protrayal as a relatively recent nation thst been created with collab of human and villager
Selchar is the sister city of Detlas no?
or did wartorn retcon that
In order to establish order to the ocean since it filled with Icelander and pirates
Wartorn did not really mention thst but it can be
But overall selchar just a nation funded by gavel to bring order to the ocean
oh funded by gavel?
By gavel I meant villager government
Idk why I keep saying that
But yeah jt meant to establish the order in the ocean
I assumed Villagers when you said Gavel lol
they seem to be the dominant group
Yoh can take it as jt being sister city of Detlas because they share the idea of both human and villager working together
ordinarily I'd think a punishment like this includes . Prison
yeah but like it not make for engaging quest is it
also this is just perosnal bias because in my take of wynncraft
Troms ocnsider one of the worst place to be in
due to how shit the jungle is
Troms is literally the jungles of vietnam according to u
what if we give slykaar agent orange
hell be convinced using it against civilians makes agent orange even more powerful
oh no I mean we agent orange Him
super cancer
Is this the strategy for fixing every jungle problem
napalm and agent orange :glad:
have the avos drop the agent orange
peace between avos and corkians has been created
common threat solved
guys
i saw the new armour's lore
||inconceivably Deranged Paper Mask of Legendary Victory||
i think you guys broke him
not new by any means
Yeah I was about to say
How does one obtain that helmet anyway, I've never been able to figure it out
Is it some talking mushroom thing
Does this mean that world event mobs and bosses are not overworld mobs? If so, where do they come from?
(from the hiring announcement)
Wait which helmet
They
Come from the world event
Like, they donāt spawn naturally in the world
Is the world event not a type of spawning? How do normal mobs spawn?
Wdym by āa type of spawningā
Every mobās spawn in the game is a type of spawning
I just assumed that World Mobs are mobs that appear in the world naturally
Or like, the main map
What exactly is the process of them appearing in the world naturally?
They just⦠appear?
True, but that's boring
At a designated region
I know the actual differences in implementation of the mobs, but I'm curious about the #šlore_discussion implications of it
Oh wait I just noticed what channel we are in
What does this have anything to do with lore
Exactly
No, like
that's the fun question of it
Mob spawning is clearly just a gameplay thing
True, but "where do mobs come from" is still a fun thing to think about
Then why were we initially discussing the differences between world mobs and world event mobs
and if world event mobs come from a different place. I know that annie specifically comes from out of the world
Ok you could have worded that a little better tbh
fair enough
I legit thought you were asking the differences between world mobs and world event mobs mechanic-wise
Or like, the distinction
Or, uh, overworld mobs
Those would generally be #āquestions though
Anyways in-universe Iām pretty sure they all just come from the same location
Same region or whatever
Are all mobs we encounter just corrupted things that existed before in the world?
Are world events groupings of those mobs?
Hard to say
I
I will be real
it just something that you have to accept it no matter how fun thinking process is
it's a game limited by its engine
I mean yeah they exist
like yeah sure you can try to come up with some lore implication
but in the end wynncraft universe are baiscally real life or whatever fantasy setting there is where people live like we do
where most gameplay mechanic did not transfer over
like I dont think the world work in a way that random creaturescjust appear around and jump you
how much farming xp would the farmers in cinfras have
0
They don't farm at all
but what if they do...?
Is there any lore reason for the isles of fiction or is it just a fun Easter egg area related towards the festivals wynncraft has
there's a letter from aster on it
pretty sure it relate to festival lroe and stuff
behind like a tree while youāre not looking
it has lore
the lore: it just spawned in and no one knows how, why and for what reason
that is not, in fact, the lore
i can slide u the source
|| i made it up ||
whatās the lore then
Oh yeah what about bear zoo
that seems kinda random asw
Itās, what I assumed to be, a traveling carnie that managed to set up a small attraction on an island, likely finding the bear abandoned as a cub
does a peach wybel have a lore accurate name
Is there a unique Peach Wybel
idk
Wonder why an orange wybel is so genetically uncommon
Or is it not and the orange wybel we know just the smartest one
Maybe itās natural selection
Since there not rlly and orangey areas aside from the desert so they get hunted easier
they're all intelligent but the Orange Wybel is just the leader not the most intelligent
Nibbles is the actual genius (which is why it says "Ask Nibbles?)
In other words, the Orange Wybel is like Kaiser Wilhelm
There arenāt any other orange wybels, though, as far as Iāve seen. Even on the island
Also, that āask nibblesā line is referring to asking it to help assist it, not because itās smarterāper say
ye I'm bsing to make a Kaiser Wilhelm joke
Oh like Bismarck?
Is Ragni the capital of Wynn since it is the only since in Wynn to have a king?
No Troms has it too
And Almuj have mayor
we just dont know much about political system in Wynn
ah okay
but it seems like every cities have their own alliance
yeah cause if two seprate cities each have their own king
it was never comfirm if King Ragni have control over Detlas but consider it was build with combination of villager and human work
it likely not
like each city state is in alliance with eachother?
yeah
yeah that makes sense
can corrupted undead be risen again after you kill them with like a meteor? or can the corruption just raise them again and again
even if the undead is reduced to ash
Rickeo shown to do that but we dont really know if all corrupted can do that
but ocnsider how like
corruption just reanimate shit rather than bring them to life
I think it possible that corruption can just reanimate the body of zombie again
but this is just headcanon tho but like that SHOULD be possible
unless evidence say other wise
corruption is a case where this can be literally overpower to the point it almost impossible to beat but it just limited by the narrative
i see
so the corruption is more of a threat you really can't perma beat but rather one you have to keep in check?
basically
yeah in game you just a lone person that have the right to just leave the province
so corruption does not seems like big issue to you
but when you are a leader or ordinary person that live in the province
corruption getting its way into entire farmland just mean no food and now you ahve to deal with this patch of land until the problem is solve
aand that one thing
oh?
consider how corruption meant to be anti-life
it essneitally mean it kinda hard to grow food there
so that why place like Ragni have large farmland and placel ike Detlas barely have any agriculture
due to its distance to the RoC
so what htis mean is
place like Detlas entirely relying on outside source to feed its ownpeople
which is a problem
because the wilderness just full of undead
which mean the caravans need go through land infested with undead in order to deliever food
carvans being destroy along the way or delay just mean more problem for Detlas
so essentailly corruption just nightmare to go against even out of combat
imagine fighting zombie apocalypse with medieval tools and your men do not even need to be bitten by zombie to be a zombie
it not doom and gloom ofc cause outsider still provide technology such as magic
but like it still hrash place to live in
for sure yeah
Why is the king of Ragni a villager?
honestly idk, mabye his family after the villagers met the humans of Wynn helped form Ragni
and have been the city's rulers ever since
He adopted
Tbe royal family adopted him
Do you have a source?
I don't remember hearing about that but then again I'm not that deep into lore
Wynnex site d ending
huh neat
I am on phone rn so I canāt give direct source
Ooooh yh i saw it on wiki
Ic
think it is only a matter of time before the corruption spreads to the rest of the world?
Thx
is the sea lorewise a inland sea or is it just surrounded b y mountains on both sides for gameplay purposes?
seaskippe did mention the border to exist in canon
so yeah liekly
the thing is that what we see in game is more representation rather than being what it actually is in the universe
yeah makes sense
the sea did also feel like a proper one rather then a inland sea
with so many islands having different themes
Is Seaskipper a reliable source tbh
He does talk about other fourth-wall stuff like player shouts
And us AFKing in front of his face for minutes at a time
Basically a lot of meta dialogue
true
aw my lore submission for that Cruel Sun didn't win
ah well ig
So the entire world is gavel fruma ragni right?
huh?
you mean province?
Yes?
oh that what you mean
Are there unknow landmasses?
well we got Wynn Province
Gavel
Corkus island
entire ocean with scattered island
lore: the player is secretly a god š£ļø
dude thought the entirety of the Wynn province was called Ragni?
he did?
famed Province of Ragni
Ragnicraft
The highlands Gale came from
Wdym
chat province with demi humans
trust 100% good idea
im absolutely sure theres people out there to just wanna see a town full of wolf people š£ļø
The physical plane
Not including other realms
Like earth has 7 continents
The entire Wynn world is
Ragni
some islands
corkus
Gaval
Fruma
no there's also the province of wynn, the "province" of "corkus", and the province of olsztyn which had a portion turned into the silent expanse
I see
So other that fruma is there any unreleased areas
Why is Ragni on the same rank as Corkus, Gavel and Fruma here
Or like on the same category list
province of olsztyn
Huh?
The Province of Kentucky Fried Chicken
There has to be a reason you included it
Cause it starting region I guess
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olsztyn fuck this city.
where else could the realm of darkness portal be but here
Olsztyn (UK: OL-shtin, Polish: [ĖÉlŹtÉØn] ) is a city on the Åyna River in northern Poland. It is the capital of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, and is a city with county rights. The population of the city was estimated at 169,793 residents in 2021.
Olsztyn is the largest city in Warmia, and has been the capital of the voivodeship since 1...
I'm inclined to think there is more land beyond gavel, wynn, fruma, etc but inaccessible or not relevant to main region's affairs
gateway quest is also an example of there being more water and another passage near the silent expanse
Is there a canonical size of the known world? I have always thought of it as roughly Mediterranean-sized.
it's like 5km by 5km
Surely that's just a gameplay abstraction
it is the guy just messing with you
we dont really know the extact number
5000 blocks by 5000 blocks or so innit
since it more of like whatever and leave room for imagination for CT and toher to work with
or just a little more
so there is no extact size of the actual wordl;
there likely more as the game continue its service
not limiting to these regiohns just allow infinite contents in the wayyy future even after the War of the Realms storyline is over
They always leave room up for imagination and flexiblity
because again I highly doubt other people would like the idea of no new expansion content after Dern release
Is there a doc that depicts all confirmed lore right now? Like an easy way for me to understand the lore.
nope
Wynncrsft lore thst it is
Is collective of writing done by many writers and under rewrite
We canāt really know which information will be retained or will be rework in the future befause that kind of stuff can lead into leak or expectation from ct
And it just kinda hard to format entire lore of the world in easy to understand format
I feel bad for Dallahan
I kinda do and don't since he sorta killed people
Dullahan meant to be protray as tragic character
but the narrative really put him down before him making any relevant
and when they try to maek him relevant again it likew ayyy too late
feel like they could amplify his tradegy more if they let Lari involve in the story
rather than just have Dullahan appearo n his own
definitely Dullahan being done dirty in the story
lari did not deserve dullahan
Yeah... I feel so bad for Dullahan. Now to think of it, there are a lot of characters/lore pieces that have been dismissed by the timeline... or in this case isn't shown as relevant/important.
A good example is Iron Heart and the victims that are now forever bound in a suit of stone and metal. How many times did it get addressed/mentioned? Three. Even in A Hunter's Calling quest it's only addressed to darken the player's 'soul' (or at least that's what I've heard to why the ??? entity is even doing this).
Technically we get to see some of it within the The Realm of Light quest: The Taproot, where we need to make a decision.
But it's mostly within part 2 of Iron Heart, part 1 was just the hinting of something more going on with the Iron golems.
I mean, you would at least think that there would be like... action in spreading awareness... but no.
But now thinking of it, Dr. Urelix did say this when we made the decision to kill the Mayor.
"Ah, you recognize necessity. That couldn't have been pleasant...but what's needed isn't pleasant, in the end."
So this could also answer to why there are still in use, they are needed... even to how cruel the way to get them is.
to be clear, the Choice in that part of the quest isn't reality
it's you being put through a test basically
You're right.
Another reason why I said it 'could' answer to why it's lack of publicity.
Golems god awful world building aside
Most of it can dumb down to golems begin necessery evil so you come up with some explaination to why its secret never been address
Like government as a whole help Urelix with it
But yeah it still aināt helping thst golems world building wise is utterly mess
they gotta add us freeing Dullahan in Rol6 when we find lari again
adding dullahan any further in the story just make it inconvience
because player gotta go back to Gavel for him to wokr and it would be really annoying
and it would be kinda downplay his history if he just get free nad act like nothing is wrong
it better off just rewrite ROL where he is more involve
Dullahan's death would serve as a good way for Lari character to develop
I am still convinced l*ri is probably the worst written character in the game
Oh, the decay has been ruining your life for a thousand years and you still refuse to hurt the literal emissary of your sworn enemy
But I feed the funny wise old tree some weed to wake em?
That crosses the line, clearly I must die
?????? š š
the decay does not really personally affect her until 800 AP
which is when DUllahan got bitten
but after that she never really get a chance to confront parasite again
Sheās still fighting the decay, trying to protect the land
Itās just, the way the story is communicated really does not help it, yk?
No
The whole like extreme contrast between insisting on pacifism and snapping the instant she feels slightly robbed just make her feel morally inconsistent, unstable and entitled as a person. The way she acts in regards to orphion, even if admittedly she was ghosted, just reinforces that
ok
well
a lot of people are like that irl lol
Eh I wont even bother at this point
Where do the 5 classes come from?
Like, Fruma, obviously
But then what do their Archetypes originate from?
So far I've not seen or heard a lore reason why the Archetypes exist, tbh.
Specifically, how they got their names, why most people don't seem to mention them...
Generally, why they exist for us but not SUBSTANTIALLY stronger characters, like Lari?
I could believe it being a "canonical cookie cutter" case, where Fruma intentionally trains characters into the 15 roles...
But Ragni soldiers are canonically strong enough and smart enough to do a lot of things
My assumption is that Fruma would have to be VERY powerful to take that approach, strong enough that if the sent soldiers ever tried to return they could be handled
But if it's just "because Archetypes are cool", I'm
Honestly fine with that.
Most of the Quests showcase exclusive traits and factors which the player characters never have, while the player characters showcaae exclusive traits of strength which the NPCs and Quest characters will never have, so I guess it's a fair trade
We see them as strange, potentially powerful, and varied in strength, the same way they probably see us.
Has something to do with the cursed status
I think the names of archetypes are possibly from some source, besides Shadestepper which is mostly Wynncraft exclusive, as well as possibly Boltslinger? Other archetypes are inspired by other things, Batlle Monk is meant to be about the European martial art experts rather than the other monks
Whatever reason, it gives em magical potential, and ig whatever happens to them when transferred forces that kind of association
I suppose that's true, which could also be a reason why the player was also sent to Wynn alongside Tasim and Aledar, the former of which was confirmed to be cursed when he was helping Aledar, although he didn't intend to be an accomplice
However, in terms of what we did to become cursed or even be caught well, being cursed - its determinant
Hm, very strange
In the case of Mantle of the Bovemists, among other Paladin things, that implies a curse could be...Holy magic, related
By a longshot, yes
But there'a a chance for light in the "dark" curse, if that even IS an element of the curse.
Yeah cursed is basically having some sort of magical power that likely is forbidden in Fruma, which I don't know how it originated or started spreading
for all I know the curse is like, ice magic type or smth.
Apparently, this isnāt true, but I thought that the little message at the end of the prison scene for Recover the Past (the ānow what might you be?ā) was referencing the possibility of the brainwashing/memory wiping giving them control over that magical influence, and they were choosing what class they would be
That's a good point
Aren't archetypes like just the Ragni military just letting you play into your strengths in your class
I think it could be like, struggling to remember something
But when you finally DO remember it, it sticks hella strong and comes back to you better?
...Something like that could explain how Ability Points are actually specifically brushing up / recaps on previous skills, or "returning to your former glory" in a particular way you see fit.
But, naturally, it being limited by how much you can remember or smth
But I don't suppose we have the truth about the player, or us in this case, who has been cursed somehow, but that question has yet to be answered which could be followed when Fruma releases, although people are saying early 2026 might be a lie, but I don't know
Apparently they're on loan (or sent as exile?) from Fruma
That's about as much as I know, other than a memory wipe hitting them all before transport
ye but in fruma you don't know shit
Yeah I'm not sure if anything else has/had the "protagonist has been cursed with magic in a forbidden origin place, and was exiled to go elsewhere" trope
you're a criminal presumably like everyone else
Yeah tbf Fruma is kind of like Ba Sing Se, but I'm not sure if Ba Sing Se comes close to the secrecy of such
I also do feel like the queen might also be cursed somehow, as she was possibly against such prior, but managed to become the very thing she swore to destroy?
Weird then how much freedom we get, though that also has some historic precedent because of how, say, Britain handled army-filling when their numbers ran dry.
They would in fact, hire criminals, and instead of jail them, have them act as unpaid mercenaries or soldiers for their redcoated army. It's a historical thing
Anyways, not out-there for a mind-washed criminal to make for good army fodder
That's an additional layer of security for Fruma/Ragni to use
Yeah Aledar was a fugitive on the run for some reason, Tasim became an unsolicited accomplice and the player is unknown
Usually they're chased FOR their origin magic, to keep it quiet, but...
Yeah, the fact they're being sent into Wynn by Fruma, willingly, is what raises such a mystery
But I suppose this channel is here for theory discussions, as well as the fact that I do always somehow want to gatekeep any further stuff with the well, upcoming update that's possibly coming soon
Yep
But how did the queen know about what happened in Wynn?
There's a queen of Fruma who actually has presence in Wynn?
Actually, could the queen have been affected by some dark stuff?
I dunno
With how Wynncraft lore trends I'd be more surprised if she DIDN'T have a dark magic she needs to hide from the populace through extreme force for fantasy drama reasons. Just seems like it matches the rest of the more serious tones.
Being sent to Wynn to fight their war even though the queen might not have had any knowledge on such is weird
I guess it is like that
She might be desperate to get rid of uprisers or smth
But I dunno if we'd have to have a boss battle against her?
Like, pick the nearest far away war she has a good path to send them on and YEET
I was thinking that judging by the trailer with the people coming near the gate, I inferred that there might be something akin to Arrai-Veretal in All Roads to Peace but idk
Rulers are far from impervious, they're persons just like everyone else, but in a role that's hard to fill
With having to defeat her to gain entry, but with whatever happening, idk
Yep
But even then, could Bak'al have been involved?
The king of Ragni is fine from what I remember
I'm honestly not caught up on any of the current lore
Yeah the King of Troms is probably the more affected one, although instead of it being the Dernic corruption or whatever, its WynnExcavation's corruption
It's called "deportation"
It feels like a lot of things already happened that I'm not aware of just because I'm limited by level
But again with WynnExcavation, apparently Amadel's death did also likely cause budget cuts in A Thousand Meters Under, which resulted in a botched search iirc
Yeah, but do you casually deport people THAT strong to a nation you KNOW is struggling with infection and zombie hordes just...because?
Chances are those deportees go on to be far stronger, and they presently HAVE. now "Ragni Soldiers" are all over Wynn and taking on Raids in massive groups together, and they're now making ties to the Silverbull Company...!
But after Amadel's death, what would happen next, or what would've happened? There were a few people who had a part to play in, but I'm not sure what the heck they would've done
They've gotten completely out of control, if you look at it from a monarch's perspective
Yeah
I think maybe we were deported to Wynn, or even exiled, since Wynn has been in a war against corruption, and with Bob going MIA, there's no doubt this war had a lot of bloodshed
And how much of the Corruption and Infection and Silent Expanse have they already conquered at this point? They're technically morally-grey heroes, demigods, every one of them
The saving grace would HAVE to be further brainwashing, magic traps, and manipulation. Any brute strength problem you present them with, short of disastrous terrain, won't stop them, and even then they'll find a way through.
Especially since we first see Bak'al in person in Realm of Light 5, which is essentially all the way in Gavel, but Lari having to go after Bak'al was... something
yeah
pretty sure britain got really good at it
Maybe we weren't meant to be heroes?
How much danger can we actually put Fruma and the entire world in, at the rate we're going?
Maybe we were meant to be on our own accord? First, there was saving the Orphion from the parasite, as well as preventing The Colossus from expanding the Sky Islands and whatnot
At this point it's too late to stop that, there is canonically dozens to hundreds of them running around - and the ones which canonically survive to Level 100+ aren't dying
True Neutral would explain a lot tbf
I dunno what the Nameless Anomaly could bring to this
But of course, the main catalyst for the corruption was thanks to the previous Elders of Aldorei who got cocky and destroyed the thing that protected them from doom
But I suppose there's also the Twains, with Theorick being responsible for freezing Nesaak and the surrounding area to try to mitigate the corruption, but did that somehow work?
Also, with Annihilation - is that meant to be something to foreshadow the future of Wynncraft?
It could have just been a well, filler feature but seeing as it has a chance of giving a cache with a guaranteed chance of getting one of five exclusive and no doubt expensibe mythics, its kinda decent
But one time I had a tremendous amount of lag, with having over 100k ping!
Good thing I survived and the thing was successful, but my good lord
Wow...
Annieās just a big demon. Itās called annihilation because it has the power to destroy the entire province, if it escapes.
However, what kind of big demon, and the role it had before the realm of war existed is beyond us
Y'know, Wynncraft Quest characters have a tendency to...suck, outside their jobs and during their jobs.
I mean Lari's a good example from the 2 RoL chapters I've played
Lari was mostly a pacifist
Girl's a kind pacifist to a foe that just...can't be reasoned with
She wanted to avoid violence in the best way possible, which was daft
I mean, if she didn't try to reason with the parasite, Dullahan wouldn't have been executed!
But with what happened after RoL 5 is... unknown
Whether she died or not is determinant, but its likely
Annie reminds me a bit of Galacta Knight from Kirby lore. Perhaps they have similar traits?
For reference;
- Galacta Knight is one of four Aeon Heroes who once saved the universe from destruction
- He keeps being sealed away and coming back when someone wants to fight him
- IF he ever won against his summoners, he'd destroy an untold amount of planets in a rampage
Maybe Annie shares a similar role to someone, just as a more neutral/evil war-scale weapon of mass destruction?
From what you've said of Annihilation, that's what I'm thinking, anyway
Someone - or some group with a setup strong enough to reasonably command and use that thing....
Some people can't be reasoned with, we see it all the time in media.
A shame she didn't
And some random Ragni Soldier ended up being more fitting despite...years, of conflict.
Actually I just realized something about that second test.
The test wasn't about whether you chose the right thing.
It's that you chose at all
Because Lari couldn't in her entire life, unless someone forced her hand.
I donāt think itās like that at all, actually. Itās just a huge demon, and tries to breach the portal every so often, which needs to be beaten back
Reason could not fix the scenario in that test, only action
Thereās no sentience or intent behind it beyond an instinctual need to cause destruction
I guess the question is who made that thing strong enough to need all of that, only to struggle to contain it themselves to the point of calling Raids upon it or dying themselves
Hm, not even emotion?
That's fascinating
As of now, itās not contained. Itās just a portal to the realm of war, which was a battleground for the last time Orphion and Dern Beast fought
It sounds more like a complicated, machine-coded spell gone wrong than a demon, then
huh.
The realm of war...is that associated with the PvP or Guild Battle modes?
Or the Corrupted Dungeons' realm?
I'm not in the know about that all.
It was originally the PVP arena, but no, it doesnāt have any sort of association with that stuff
I see
Forgery is a what if scenario, basically what would happen if there were no one to fight the corruption
Might be a chance forgery gets removed, tbh. I wouldnāt be surprised if it was reworked to get away from the corrupted dungeon concepts.
aw....But I just unlocked the thing!
I think it does, but in an item lore or something
And I like playing the Corrupted Dungeons
Item lore seems like a shaky way to present the lore...
Like, you can definitely expand upon lore with it
CT says itās that, too, but itās in game notice is on item lore and maybe the SD associated with it
But why not have the bare level info available when you reach an area?
Donāt know, likely because it was made a while ago, and probably wonāt stay
I don't have any in-game source for reading up on this other than the quests themselves, which aren't replayable and there's a lot of them
Lots of one-off stories which I appreciate for shaping our own stories
Wiki has some info, but you can get some info in here, every so often
but also means I get lost easily unless people can tell me this kinda thing
I mean all it took to spice up an earlygame quest was a bit of improvising and imagination
My party's Shaman told the Arcanist Mage to respect the dead a bit more, so he helped someone with a family thing...
Except he got drunk and stumbled through the twisting catacombs of Nemract while flaming and bombing every part of it that got up to attack him
By the time he made it to the end that Mage was sober, frustrated, and had an undying skeleton to kill repeatedly right in front of him
It's a very fun story I imagined can be implied by quests and/or just, made up as you go on them
Wiki also has a lot of spoilers, but I feel like if I'm going to get the whole picture anyways I'm...kinda going to be spoiled on things anyway
I think the current lore could be handled a little better as "quests are how you explore the backstory, Raids and Dungeons and Boss Altars are where we are right now"
which, they already do I'm pretty sure.
It should just be emphasized more in main-story checkups or the passive environment storytelling, that things are already happening, you're just late to the party as a player character
Aaaactually, attacking urelix in that cutscene fails it and forces you to try again.
It isn't "making any choice" it is "making the choice orphion wants"
Oh, it is?
I was running Shaman and just Main Attacked both of them at once
you probably hit the mayor first by a tick or two
but yeah. what you are meant to do is kill the mayor there- only then will you pass
isn't it rather making the choice that results in the most good for the greatest amount of people
while lari chose doing what is normally morally right but in contexts where it performs poorly
in other words
nobody likes Immanuel Kant
oh right, that too
I donāt think itās explicitly stated Lari was given the exact same scenario as us, in RoL 2, but a test of similar value
In all honesty, we dont know what her test was like, but if it was at all close to what ours was like, she likely didnāt do anything and left
exactly
Wish the lesson was a bit more laid out tbh
I donāt think a lot of people understood it
tbh i kinda dont like The Choice to begin with
i think there's just better ways to illustrate the point it's trying to make, both in impact and in clarity
Everyone get a puppy or infinite direhea
that doesnt feel good
ROL on its way to showing off gray morality by continuing to bash on its character for some reason than to actaully showing actual gray morality solution
I feel like if your gray morality solution is something that collectively can agree it
it probablyl ike the most shallow way to implement it into your story cause it like
Do you want your limb to get cut off or your head to get cut off
like yeah ofc no fucking shit, too much pacifism is bad but now can we move on
it's sad because I Think gavel could offer much more in depth and complex story than what current ROL offer
because the thing is that
taking advantage o the location we been through
Wynn province is fairly brutal place with simple resolution that many people come to use
which is killing everything that pose a danger
the undead there are brutal and pretty much a husk, killing them has no moral consequence and universally accepted as good thing
however different story when it come to Gavel province
often the creatures you encoutner in gavel are just animals living in their ecosystem
this is good idea to bring up Lari's morality on the table
that indeed these pacfiism is an option and should be done when dealing with these creatures that simply living in their eco system
the stlry should show that it can work
and this lead to the Parasite and decay as a whole is an outliner
because just like corruption, they are alien to the world with singular purpose and have no place in this world
they are not really living like animals
what
Imag
Is it just me or does the whole "dern beast is the big bad boss of wynncraft" seem a little predictable and lame.
I think the devs are trying to lure us into a false conclusion of how the story is going to go
Imo it makes more sense for the corruption/realm of war to be the place of wynncraft's finale
like it has a lot of thematic potential, even if it is a little cliche
you know
"The real villain is the conflict itself", where the war between light and dark (corruption) is the true antagonist
Besides, the stroy will go full circle back to Wynn ā the start of the player's journey.
I don't really know how it will go from a gameplay perspective, though I theorise Bak'al will play more of a threat than we previously thought, perhaps even playing the role of the corruption deity
similar to how Orphion is the light deity and Dern beast is the dark deity
idk just something to think about
Corruption Beast
the rea villian is the credit card š¤Æ
While I understand, the current evidence rn js just Dern beast being big bad
Mostly because
We literally have no other Villian being build ik and Bakāal barely have one as well
So as of right now at this very moment
We kinda just one candidate and that it
The true villain was capitalism in Wynncraft lol.
Lari is wynncraft final boss
Ok
Dern beast is, technically, the antagonist of the war of realms. Itās actively swaying the battle in its favor, and using a myriad of underhanded, though strategic tactics to win over the planes of influence, and spread itself everywhere. And, as shown by SE, darkness isnāt really an influence that supplements humanāor any known speciesāpotential. Corruption, however, is the true conflict itself, and can only be evil. It only destroys, both light and dark (technically) and spreads through said destruction. Defeating that is likely the end goal, but balancing the two beasts highly outweighs that conflict for this antagonist
tbh at this point I just okay with one villain and stick with it with proper build up
Fruma likely gonna give wynncraft an actual villain and not obstacle that last for like 1-2 quets
Dern Beaset despite being main villain kinda just poorly build up because of other story being kinda bad
Parasite kinda bland of a villain
The Eye got fuck over by the dungeon
so it kinda hard to get execited for Dern Beast beside the obvious
like why should we be excite for Dern Beast?
Because it's big bad because the game tell us that
there literally no other build up
well there is but it not really good one
if only wynncraft stop with vague lore posting and make shit like the Equinox happen because of Dern Beast lying to the elf or some shit then yeah we could cooking with something
but as of rn not that much
Bak'al barely get anything
Would be cool to have a twist where once we defeat Dern Beast it turns out that the weakened Darkness means that thereās now an imbalance of Light
(Orphionās the antagonist of the story now)
like technically, wyncraft have whole cast of villain
but it just none of them are barely memeorable or noteworthy
Heās mad with power and wants revenge from Dern Beast trying to kill him
ok
general takan got something going on but too bad he is meant to be minor villain so he barely have screentime but the motivation is there is pretty good for what he is
also the idea of Light and Dark being morally equal just poorly though out at best
there almsot no attempt of making Light the villain or did something that could consider as equal to Dern
ike sure there Obseliks but like
you fucking lying if being obelisk is worse alternative to literally living in almost unhabitable ecosystem
and consider how Orphion for some reason take extra care into these random ass group of miners than his own choosen one
it kinda just eh
literaly so far in the narrative nothing tell Orphion would be against us or anything
Like even then he just incompetent asshole that literally self sabotage himself anyway
so like even if he become villain it probably barely a threat
literal toddler with knife probably possess more danger than Orphion
What I don't understand is, you end Level 103 directly in front of the enterance to Dern. Then, suddenly, over the course of levels 105 - 120 you're gonna be spending your time in Fruma
Is the player just gonna look into the portal and think "Oh yep. Right here, right now, I have the chance to destroy the Beast of Darkness, but I think I'll inexplicably spend my time over in my home province"
does not really make that much sense
hmm
but due to the lack of information
but as of right, the dern portal been block off
so ehhhh IDK where they gonna go with the game story
wynncraft have not been good at story telling until relatively recent
yea
didn't sohso go to fruma to study the green meteor?
maybe the green meteor will be vital to enter Dern
I really think the meteors must have some significant role to play in the story
no I dont think but then again I forgot most of like
wynnex lore
and also wynnex is really outdated
so as of rn
just dont consider it
true
meteors being important part of wynncraft story sound like fucking nightmare actually
I hope not
I really hope not
Well they are certainly building up meteors more than the dern beast
no it just
they just product of their time
they just mcguffin that only important because the story tell you so
there barely anything about them beisde OOO THEY GIVE YOU POWER
it bland and lame
and not even mention why does green cyrstal spcifically help you escape dern
like fuck even the weird colorful crystal discovery in SE
that more like a fillerl
like legit
that fucking filler and essentailly mean nothing
like there problaby important detial for wynnex but like god
I just do not fucking like meteor lore
you appear to not like any of wynncraft's lore by the sound of it
it like the generic color powerful stone that make you powerful but we wont tell you how and why
I wrote entire document dedicate to expanding wynncraft lore
take that as what you will
it more so of frustation of how wynncraft story being written
therei s good stuff in there
decent
like breaking point
it just there little thing that just kinda downplay the story
but then again the story written by volunteers so it is what it is
so basically the dern beast is actually doing shit to win instead of playing defensive
There needs to be an option in the realm of dern to switch sides bro fuck orphion
the darkness clearly better
I pretty sure the point of the entire story that you need to balance dark and light and not have one side win
but hey what do I know
true if I gave a shit about the people in the cities I would do that but like who does
paint it all Silent Expanse.
ok
nah nothing
so hear me out if we helped the dern beast do ya think he would be willing to give us a fiefdom
yeah sure
can he give me a pat on the head
is it readbale
isnt the eye the dern beasts eye
I wonder how many eyes the Dern Beast has
idk why i only thought it could have 2
lowkey i never liked lari but we need like closure
like wat happened ifykwim
What if the Dern beast doesnāt actually take a form, like orphion does, and prefers to shape pieces of itself into whatever it needs. Like, itās some amorphous black blob of darkness, but it forms claws/hands when it needs to grab, or a ton of eyes if it needs to see
Boring design :(
Iād absolutely love for it to portray itself with hostility, though controlled, to someone like Baākal, but unassuming and potentially understanding, but still capable of damage with us
In all honesty, darkness doesnāt really have potential for a static design. Light makes way more sense, because itās always giving off some kind of visible color, sphere, beam, whatever. Itās actually a tangible concept (kinda).
Darkness is just an absence of light, and the shapes we see in it are purely due to the bits of light present around it, and the objects within. It wiggles and warps whatever around it into an indistinguishable blob, and can potentially have way more than one design. Why shouldnāt it be an ever changing entity?
It doesnāt mean it canāt have a design, but Iād want it to be almost like an angler, where pieces of itself constantly change to fit what it needs, but it dangles off itself as some kind of lure, obscuring the real thing. An unassuming design for an ambush, or a giant monster with fangs, claws, and eyes when it wants to make a point to intimidate. Stuff like that, but all offshoots of this ever present blob of shifting darkness
Ok but for the sake of media aesthetic we do need cool-looking designs
bak-al is the goat
Like sometimes appearance overtakes logic
Well, another way to take it: have the cool design change a lot, and connect to the surrounding darkness that will follow it
āThis creature is actually like a 4-dimensional entity so he wouldnāt actually cast a shadowā
Ok yeah but like thatāll look garbage visually on screen or in a picture from the viewerās perspective
I still have lil concepts in my head where youāre just completely surrounded by black, and little white eyes just open all around you, then slowly morph into each other, and present this almost pleasant, simple animal in front of you
(My own experience)
Thatās cool I guess
Itās basically what Orphion is rn
Basically, but Orphion is one design. He doesnāt change his fur or color, or antlers and what not. Iād almost want Dern Beast to take one form for its initial encounter, then slowly kinda grab and turn itself inside out and pull out more and more horrifying iterations of a similar design.
A really simple rendition of this idea is something like Chara, where she is a normal child design, but morphs more and more, until sheās unrecognizable, and the world around you starts to cave into you
Dern, to me, should feel as hostile as possible. Iād want some kind of initial quest that attempts to show what would happen if you go into the realm of darkness, right now, without some kind of protection. Dern beast could blacken the realm and bring itself straight to usāor the example in this caseāand basically try to suffocate us with as much darkness as possible.
The Eye gets an opportunity to kind of do exactly that (in Fantastic Voyage), and itās super imposing. You feel like youāre completely at the whim of this thing, and canāt do anything about it, until some miracle teleportation saves us.
Maybe this "initial quest" you speak of could be done just after A Hunter's Calling at level 104, which will then incentivise the player to go to Fruma and prepare
It might provide a good explanation for why the game suddenly skips from the whole silent expanse thing to the fruma thing between level 105 - 120
I think itās what AHC shouldāve just been, in all honesty
AHC is a fine concept, but I donāt think it fits as an end of region quest, now that Fruma is proceeding it
yea you make a good point
It doesnāt lead anywhere, and kinda feels like itās own thing, rather than a way to transition the player into the next area
I always felt A Hunter's Calling was a penultimate challenge, reminding you of your entire adventure thusfar, as you approach your journey's end
But now with fruma that sort of negates the point of the quest
It is that, but the end of our journey isnāt even there anymore
No need for it, now, when AJF/EO serve that concept pretty well, considering thereās more after it
Wartorn Project What is the Wartorn Project? Wartorn Project is a writing project created to rewrite and refine wynncraft world building into a more cohesive setting. This includes expanding existing concepts in the game into fully fresh out ideas. Rewriting old materials with new information and...
what about buffing AHC to level 119 as the penultimate challenge before dern itself, then adding a new level 104 quest that is required for AHC where ??? gives you a glimpse of dern itself and then tells you to come back when you are ready for its "test" (AHC)
AHC always felt like a To Be Continued for me
To serve as the final quest before more content comes out
you say this like every other region has end of region quests
like tbh what regions have end of region quests
Canyon... Molten Heights... Corkus... Aldorei... Realm of Light... where else
They donāt really need it, because most have dungeons that fill that role much better, or raids
However, stuff like Wynn Excavation offer a conclusion to the Wynn province, as a whole
you realize of those 5, 3 of them are dungeons/raids
ehhhhhhh Wynn Excavation feels like a different storyline I think the conclusion to the Wynn province will be when we can go to Realm of War
You donāt really need to separate it in general, since the provinces themselves are the regions. And, areas with significantly more story significance get that intended conclusion. For Wynn, though, it doesnāt really need it as much, because you get stuff like UC ending the Nemract line, or CIP ending the emerald trail/bits of Wynn plains, or IB ending the Nesaak portion, etc
EO doesnāt exactly end anywhere, because it was a gate, essentially. The end of the line shouldāve been the portal youāre thrown at, which AHC does try to conclude. Iād just like something a bit less final, and more of a continued development into what we will see in Dern, or what we need to see in Dern to further incentive us to rally the provinces together and fight
Wynn Excavation is I think closer connected to the Eldritch/Cosmic/Meteors/Crystal Shards storyline that goes from WynnExcavation to Purple & Blue to the Gerts to ??? and then to the Silent Expanse
Wynn excavation is literally the end of exploring the Wynn province, though. Itās the last quest that isnāt related to SE, which is basically considered its own thing. It also alludes to transferring us to gavelādespite us already being thereāand pushes us away from the province.
I think both the realm of Dern and realm of war are more ends of the entire game, not a region
It is kinda connected to SE aren't the Crystals from Mining Cessation (I think?) implied to be the same crystals as the crystals in WynnExcavation
or are those separate crystal shards
I always thought that was the implication
I think theyāre the same, but itās not exactly clear, because Wynn Excavation is kinda old and unkempt, which means itās lore is less thought out and harder to connect properly
Iād assume, yes, theyāre the same
I mean, they still have that bit of dialogue that was basically alluding to the gavel update, which shouldāve been changed more than it was
Like the way I've always seen it is that
you get introduced to this idea of cosmic power in WynnExcavation and right then you know nothing then you meet the meteors in Gavel and see the GavelExcavation secret discovery and ??? and so you know that these crystals and meteors are connected somehow and they're both powerful cosmic objects but you still don't know much about their origin until you reach the silent expanse and see Mining Cessation and The Final Moments and then it's supposed to click that the meteors bombarding Gavel and the crystal-affected WynnExcavation making their way into the leadership of Wynn are not just a benign cosmic phenomenon that just happens to be too powerful for mortals but rather the Dern Beast setting his eyes on Gavel and Wynn
I canāt confirm how right this is, because my meteor lore is super foggy, but this seems about right
I donāt think the Dern beast has anything to do with the meteors weāre familiar with, though
I mean I think of like Temple of the Legends + Reincarnation as the end of Wynn province and WynnExcavation as the introduction to the real main storyline that takes you to Silent Expanse indirectly
Youād think they would be, but Reincarnation is a really weird one, because itās not exactly clear if the Bob weāre seeing in that is the actual one, or a Nilrem fake Bob
So, the quest kinda ends up being a sort of separate thing, similar to LI or a boss altar
ToL is a really nice conclusion to the jungle, though, I think
I think Wynn overall tbh it's the quest that goes second deepest into Corruption Roots (after A Journey Beyond, of course), you have to kill one of the big name corrupteds, &c
I think that all the corrupteds more powerful than CoW are gonna be in Realm of War section like finishing off Annihilation and cornering Bakal is definitely Realm of War stuff
whats realm of war
unless you argue that whatever ends the Realm of War storyline ends the Wynn province which is fair, that is the end of the war that's been shredding Wynn for the last 1000 years
inside corruption portal
idk can you really consider Reincarnation a prequel to Fantastic Voyage
I donāt even think you could consider it an anything. It genuinely feels like a boss altar
TRUE
You get the same conclusion out of it, which was basically given to you straight in the Nilrem letters
didnt they remove realm of war
So, you donāt develop anything new, and donāt really learn anything more from it. Itās just an optional boss
or like the pvp place
i miss the pvp place
yeah honestly Fantastic Voyage > Reincarnation as Wynn final quest
Fantastic Voyage is kinda the transfer between searching for the hero of Wynn to seeing Dern
even tho its in Gavel/Ocean it's more of a Bob quest
also @regal spire what did you think of this idea
Oh wait checked the thing and it seems like he is since Something put the magic on the Gavel meteors so I think they're both Dern-sent
Sohso prob gonna explain some meteor stuff to us in Fruma if he survives getting Fruma'd and once he gets us ready we can finally go to Realm of Dern
yes I know I'm being over optimistic and Fruma will never release
Thereās a not zero percent chance that Mehmeās Lab N will be reworked, and this info will end up being wrong :/
I hope Iām wrong, because I was excited to see the potential of this secret finally come to fruition in Fruma
yknow why doesn't someone make a semi-official lore document with all this stuff and get someone to pin it to this channel
like what Trashie's doing but without the "re" part
Because we tired and shit
There is, though, an entire document detailing all the noticeable timeline shifts and events you need to know
I mean besides just purely events it would be nice to have like commentary that ties em together
so maybe a new lore document is needed
That would be nice
hearts of iron is such a goated quest unrrlated
Personally dislike it but probably good that some find it enjoyable
it had the good concept but they poorly explain and sometime the edginess just feel so overdone it's silly
i hate the realm of light morality thing
The reason I make this much golem pattern is to justify some existeng part of golem lore
like personally owned golem
I will never forgive them for adding Lari
i dont like lari either
but i lowkey want closure
for the last realm of light quest
like i wanna see lari again
but i dont like her character
but its just a cliffhanger
tbh guys
canary calls is prob my favorite quest
very good ambience
also has cool secret lore snippets
hey whats that bird island some random selchar citizen mentions
it is a great one (ignoring the minecarts)
ye theres this one jump in the minecarts that absolutely sucked
but besides that w quest
i loved the ambiance
ye same
it reminded me of the weird creepy feeling some sections of wynn had when i was a kid (like 12-13)
but what about petting orphion
On this topic, before I progressed from level 30, my favorite quest was The Dark Decent... now I don't have a favorite quest (there are so many good ones).
hmm that one was p good
i absolutely hate any quests involving maro peaks tho
i utterly despise the temple of legends one
it feels like theres just so much unnessecary clutter in that quest
like holy shi just give me the helmet and let me into the temple
Yeah having to deal with mobs that push you off and wearing a quest helmet isn't that great-
the joys of mage <3
ye
tbh I kinda liked the realm of light quests mostly just cus they gave good loot
photon, double vision, and that one chestplate were all p good
I like it because of the lore funnily enough, wasn't too big on the loot... never really wore it.
Can we assume that the player chronologically does all content in level order
ye true the lore was pretty good
is dernic the incorporation of eldritch horror? got no idea why it exists
Wdym
yes
i think?
think so
it does a good job i feel
the silent expanse is pretty much wynncraft's eldritch landscape/horror
to a point but yk just cant look it truly since its goofy minecraft
go take this quest and now there's eyeball trees
ye true one of the limitations of minecraft
I refuse to accept that just because the medium is Minecraft doesnāt mean we are limited to making goofy things in it
well the horror is that this is the effect of the dernic realm touching this section of the realm
but i think wynncraft does a p good job with custom models
This game gives us a lot more leeway than one first assumes and I have seen it
oh yea guys what exactly relates the nameless annomaly with the void and dern
i never got that
You can make some genuinely un-Minecrafty stuff in here
the text underneath it says "it's a really big voidhole"
essentially
TNAās a Dern creature
It can create Void Holes
so can it literally just create openings into the void
yeah have you seen the models?
like the colossus's long lost twin or smth
this is to reverseuniverse
It doesnāt do that what
Ok I mean technically it does
But like, as a side effect
Void Holes arenāt supposed to be portals
The Nameful Anaomly
greg
it doesn't really fills me up with terror or anything cause gameplay just forces me to ignore what im actually looking at.
ok, so what is tna's like objective
what is it doing that is accidentally making openings into the void aka void holes
Probably steal bits of reality to give to Dern to take over idk
Dernās infecting land right
i guess
TNAās helping in a sense
why does every raid have a backstory to the boss, but tna is like "hey you have access to eo you can do this raid ig"
Ig
Idk
Void Holes are basically just holes in reality
Itās like, if reality is a ball of clay TNA is basically stealing bits of the clay
But like reality doesnāt really know what to do when it has non-reality inside of it so it kinda just twists the parts together and you get accidental wormholes
K got it
Thx
i just wanna learn more about horror behind dernic realm or whatever larger creatures exist there, we might meet.
Maybe weāll get that in Dern
Hopefully dern himself idk
Well, what do we know comes from Dern
himself
Do we know their gender
i personally cannnot relate i think silent expanse is the only part i want to see
Ok then uhhh itself
because if i see whatever is in dern then that will be more spooky than silent expanse, and then like silent expanse loses its unique charm
Ye same
So do you just want Dern to never be accessible or smth
kinda yeah
i just see silent expanse as an introduction to dern.
can you go to the realm of war
who knows maybe orphion will give us more main character energy
ba'kal questlines would be cool
i assume they'd both oppose dern
wait who's the god of dark
when is it mentioned in game
Quick question
from the top of my head the ruined olmic city signs and several secret discovery cutscenes
Why does the Dern Beastās eye like, look like that
When Dern Beast tears its own eye out it just looks like an eye
And then when we fight it in EO itās like
Grown to this thing
hm.
its already shown what it looks like?
from what i remember from SE stuff, the Eye can morph and change its own physical appearance, changing over time
We see Dern Beast tear its eye out in the SE Ult Discovery
damn maybe ill just look it up
only a small part of it though
so in the cutscene it was just an eye, but over time it grew tentacles and stuff
that, or the cutscene did not change to include the new model of the Eye lol
the cutscene was before current eye yeah
oh i cant even tell what im looking at š
me witnessing horrors beyond my comprehension (I don't get it)
is that the eye we fight
the very same
damn hes big
he worked out
eye muscles do a lot of work so yeah gotta stay fit
Suddenly urge to finally draw redesign of Amadel
Surprised no one has mentioned this weird throne room the Dernic Beast is in
I used to think it was a part of EO, when 1.19 released, but with the introduction of NoL, it seems both beasts just really like impressive, gothic architecture
I immediately thought "oh nexus of dark"
Guess a predominant color palette of Dern will be red, black, and purple
Also adding purple magic with it reminds me of nether portal
Then what will be Realm of War lol
Ig just red lmao
Are you sure theyāre only going to be using red
Oh, no, I bet theyāll be varying different shades of red and orange, maybe some brown and black
There might end up being a lot of grey, too
Probably just black, red, and orange though
this is my sketch on rework Amadel
not finalize yet but if I ever do wynnex rework, Amadel final form will be something like this
Oh damn
Brain creature
I like the brain nerves or whatever theyāre called
It looks like a mutated human circulatory system
That amadel's nervous system
the creature overtake his nervous system and use it as its form
where did the creature come from
is it a lifeform made by the crystals
In this take there is no crystal
It been replace by olmic artifact that responsible of them escaping Dern
Itās a magical torch that able to tear open reality
Though in the process of escape l, the artifact would be inflicted by Dern and become corrupted by its influence
So the olms shatter the artifact and scatter in through time and space
Whcih lead to its fragment being on different location
When Amadel manage to assemble them all, the artifact reveal it true form and infect him
This Thanksgiving... Im Thankful for Seaskipper Captain.
ik you have me blocked so you wont see this message but whats wrong with the crystals
@hybrid gazelle answer for my don
like do you want to know or what
Yeah what's wrong with the crystals
ergo do you think it's like a weak plot device so you wrote it off
yeah it is weak plot device that only exist due to its time
there is no like narrative important
it'sl iterally just meaningless mcguffin that give you power because
it give you power
also it just like
wow these crystal must be destory
and the Ragni king just throw shard of it into lava that he for some reason has in his castle
and like
okay but there like giant fucking crystals
like you can probably make a house out of these things
so yeah the crystals are dumb
stupid
and dumb
and stupid
and yeah that it
ahh icic
actually there probably more but I forgo
but overall the replacement I came up for the crystals just feel like it has more narrative important and world building
than like
powerful crystals
Also thereās just more open for far more interesting interaction
Compare to colorful kidney stone
Like for example each fragment can have its one mark on history consider they were sent back across time and space
Like maybe one fragment impact a history of sand kingdom
Being one of magical artifact that the royalty kept
Maybe one of them thst land near Twain mansion once habe then study it before lock into deep vault yhat wynnex try to exvacuate
Also it just make it feel like yoh collecting something to build up for larger whole
relevant:
Obviously not a pure circulatory system. Instead, it has a brain and kidneys as well. Get youāre anatomy right.
āI'm Norm. You want to hear about mental ailments?
Ever since becoming a big brain, people keep asking me about 'em. I guess I just look the part.
I don't know anything about 'em, I just look it up on my phone.ā
what will Mining Cessation have then
the meteors?
It will simply not exist
Not big deal befause from what I heard from a CT, that discovery was meaningless anyway
it would be fire if
bak-al corrupted lari
like she came back but as like corrupted version
like with bak-al or something
but dont make it so its reversible
idk make her a boss fight or sum
But being corrupted mean you dead
They are dead
how do yk
Corrupted mean dead because itās reanimation
is bak-al dead
Not restoration or revival
ok so dead then
when will the player fight bak-al
That why we canāt really classify but for the sake of simplicity corrupted mean you are pretty much dead as you being reanimated by influence of corruption
yes
Bakāal is special because he able forhave his individuality
As of rn we donāt know what condition or what he is
Due to little info we have
hes the goat
But consider observing his skin
best villain
The fact that otjer corrupted undead either have green ish skin or full on skeleton
Imply their body capable of rotting
Bakāal still have his skin intact implying that he is alive
He also a bit weird case because he is not corrupted by normal mean
He step into the portal and come out like that
The process still unknown
It similar to Theorick where they not extactly corrupted as they are alive
Yet still being half way being jnlfuence by it
actually think about it again
I donāt think we ever seen Bakāal directly corrupt anything
He capable of creating corruption spike but consider he did see doing thst in rol
Kinda suggest that in order to use his power, corruption must be present in the first place
Implying that he incapable of generating corruption on his own
And only be able to weave it like the undead
Oh yeah no he literally just use fire and that it
Yeah no he is fucking bum jfc
They better give him more move slot cause jfc this is sad
I wish the game actually shows why Bakāal isnāt as weak as he constantly appears to be
Not gonna lie every appearance he looks so one-shottable
Hope they do this soon
Bakāal upscale
He only beat people who has farmer as their occupation
Iām still of the belief that Bakāal is absolutely a Minecraft Creeper moment
ok but the wynnex crystals have a link to the 4 brothers too
cause each of them studied for wynnex
where do they fit into all of this
Bak'al have more shitpost fanart of him than his relevancy
Huh?
ye canon
in canon yahya nohno mehme and sohso worked for wynnex studying crystal
this is confirmed in secret discoveries and the ??? quest
its pretty much guarranteed that Sohso was studying the green crystal
Oh huh
Wait can you link the wiki page
(I also donāt recall ??? ever mentioning the crystals?)
Gavel Excavation is a Secret Discovery located in Cinfras. The discovery focuses on a company that was dedicated to observing and collecting meteor shards, Gavel Excavation.
??? is a long level 80 quest revolving around the Meteors. However unlike other quests, this one does not have instructions for each stage - instead, you are supposed to look around and try to figure out what to do based on clues around the world. Segment 3 requires 4 players, so it is recommended to be in a party of 4 before starting the quest.
notice how the meteors are the same colors as the crystals
