Generally based on feeling

do I feel like I'm paying too much per coach or locomotive

left: newer tooling, higher detail. but £50 for a coach is ridiculous
right: old tooling, but does the job. still holds up for N gauge. £25 is ok tbh for one of these, but I'd go for it if I really needed another one

it's about patience as well; what you're specifically looking for might not be available immediately when you think you want it, so you have to look out and look around for when one becomes available

which is why I prefer going to exhibitions and such, as you'll get a higher variety from the vendors that you might necessarily know about

but the couplar between nohab and sleeper coach does not reasamble any tt couplar I know

The 1099 is mine, the nohab is @warm bay's
