A new model railway is born, alas - missing the flexi-track for the bottom left and the wood needs some bracing. Wood also needing some cutting - and some 2nd hand NSE mk2's like to derail as the last owner ruined the couplings (probably didn't have 2nd radius loops). All good fun. 🙂

I've done the first steps of building by own train station module.

I'm happy that the trains are driving. I have some soldering experience, but when my switches all work by the end of the next week, I will be really happy. In terms of landscaping, I have close to no experience. I one glued a house together and set it with some trees on a grass sheet of paper (?), but this time I will also try to make the grass myself.

That's the one I ride the most with. Usually Kassel-Eisenach where it is pulled by a BR101, or sometimes to Erfurt, where they stop in Gotha to switch the locomotive to that BR245 from the picture.

The IC is my favourite train. That's why the BR101 was my second locomotive and now I just need some IC wagons. I want the while ones, because those are the ones I'm used to, but they are expensive as hell. I think three would be enough, since I don't have that much space anyway.

I've had Märklin H0 before. But I left that at my parents house because it is too big for my small apartment. That's why I switched to N. Turns out, in a smaller scale shouting is not that much fun, but fast moving trains look good. So, to make use of that effect, I will probably need nearly as much space as before. But that's though far into the future again.
