It can't force you to move, unless you have steering assists on

If you do, change from casual to expert, so it gives you full control of what assists you want. This way you can disable the steering assist, and also if need be, add that racing line

I believe there is also a mode between causal and expert, and that too should give you control of your assists

On the top right in the menu you can see which racing style you're using.

If it's on casual then you can't change this settings so you just need to change it to expert.

It even shows which button you need to press.

Check that before wasting time with re-installing.
