In Qualifying, it was a Mercedes 1-2, (Ham, Bot) I somehow managed to get my McLaren into P3
The race started off normal, Hamilton lead from Bottas, then me.
It then started to get interesting, Bottas, who started on softs, started to catch Hamilton, who started on Mediums. Bottas attempted to pass Hamilton on the inside of the T8/T9 chicane, but result in Bottas spinning, everyone going through dropping Bottas to last. That puts me into P2.
Hamilton being Hamilton, built a large gap. I was on soft tires, and the strategy the game given me was to go from Soft to Mediums, everyone else on softs had the same strategy. But in the forecast it said it was going to rain by the end of the race. So I decided to completely take a gamble and do a Soft->Soft->Inters.
Later on, everyone was on their second stint, soft runners pitted for mediums, except me who went onto another set of softs. I was still P2, behind Hamilton. Then suddenly, Jeff came on, saying "Hamilton has an issue, he'll be slow" 5 seconds later Hamilton retires, I'm leading the race.

The rain I've been waiting for finally comes. I was waiting for the call to come in for Inters. It never came. It was too light of a shower that is was okay to continue on dries. My race was over, so with like 10 laps to go I pitted over Inters and dropped to last place while everyone continued on dries. I decided to retire with two laps to go because I was like 30 seconds behind everyone.

it's a huge time sink tho
because even if you force the game to run faster than it should, the races take forever
but you can have fun races
you just have to leave it running in the background half the time
and the game has terrible quality of life
like in qualifying, you have to tell people to come in after they do a hot lap, even though the game recognises it's a hot lap and that they're out of fuel
but if you do get something like a vibrating rear wing you can adjust settings on the fly so they don't dnf

I like alot of his strategies, but splitting a bad understaffed commercial team means he's still signing stuff by like round 14
if you put more effort into 1 or 2 suppliers with multiple slots you can get more done quicker I find
