we already have a lot of GT3-series here. The GT Masters as the biggest but there's also the STT, GTC race, NLS with their SP9-class. Now it's nice to see that DTM can apparently get a rather decent grid without taking away any starters from the GT Masters, but it still feels redundant. Both of their calenders have like a 50% overlap in terms of which race tracks they visit and even the weekend format is similar, with both series having two races of about an hour. They may have a slightly different BOP for the cars but the main difference is that DTM doesn't have a switch of drivers mid-race.

I don't follow Indy but Palou has come across as someone who is jealous of the amount of Spanish media coverage Alonso gets.

I remember during the 2020 Indy 500, he said that the Spanish media are mostly focused on Fernando Alonso and not on him.
I mean duh, Alonso literally brought motorsports to every Spanish house back in mid-2000s.

Carlos Sainz had to face the same situation in F1 by being overshadowed by Alonso but we didn't see him whine about it.

For a guy that has crashed "like a dumbass", he seems pretty optimistic. Today his focus was on getting back the feeling on the bike, which he notes it's difficult to do with the windy conditions, but aside from the crash it went fine.

Tomorrow will be a day for more specific tests. He liked the new parts so far, though of course due to the crash he didn't get to try them out as much as he'd have liked to.
