Hello, just wondering. I'm new to Stream Elements merch as I'm building my merch store currently. I just want to know how their:
- Print quality.
- After washing/washing machine
- How the t-shirt feels
etc..
Sorry I couldn't find a accurate video about it on YouTube so I just want to ask here instead. 👍
I’ve got a few shirts, print quality is really good, bright colours might appear darker (eg. I made a design with a neon pink/purple and it turned out a regular purple).
Shirts survive the washer, thank goodness. Only had a slight change after numerous washes but even then it was minimal. Its printed into the fabric rather than ironed on, so no worries about peeling designs. How it feels, like a regular soft tshirt tbh

Yeah, we highly recommend avoiding neons and transparent effects on designs. The printers use the CMYK Gamut, so as long as you use colors that will work inside that color range, it should come out pretty accurate
Your issue is deeper than our normal one. It is taking our devs some time on getting it fixed, I do apologize
For now, you need to have these items and color choices active to generate panels:
- White + black shirt
- White + red hoodie
- Mug

Hi everyone, I'm new at all this merch thing, so I have a question about the image I should use on my merch, regarding the DPI. I can read that you recommend 300 DPI, but I got some images that is 600 DPI. So my question is, what will you guys recommend using? 300 or 600 DPI? Also if I need big print on my shirts. Thanks 🙂
Anything above 150 DPI will print fine, anything beyond 300DPI you won't see a difference in the print itself, but it will not hinder you.
The print will only be as good as your image though, so if it is 1500DPI but looks blurry, it will be a very high quality blurry print
okay thanks, because I have a vector file of my image, from there I can choose my DPI before making it a PNG. So will you recommend to take the highest DPI as possible or would you stick with the 300 and 600 DPI?
I would recommend setting up the file externally for each item in the exact size needed for the product, and export that for upload to the item itself. This would guarantee that the image is perfect while not overdoing the size of the file

The image I've created on the mug is not matching the size of the image shown. When published in the store- it comes out smaller.

For the panel image, you need to have these items and color choices active to generate panels:
- White + black shirt
- White + red hoodie
- Mug
For the others, check your commands to see if it is already there. If not, it is a simple one to make. As for the rotator widget, you can also add that through the overlay editor and customize it there. I do apologize for the issues here, that part of the merch system is a bit older and needing updated
Can you provide your account ID? This is one that shouldn't be happening. You can also try deleting the item completely and remaking the item with the image to make sure it is a consistent error.
I have all of the items you stated however this Is all It shows me. as for the widget rotator that just doesn't work at all

You have the products, but not in all the colors mentioned. Once you have those, then it will generate. Yes, it is annoying, but its an old old old part of merch
As for the rotator, there are 4 copies of it in your overlays tab
open one of those, then you can duplicate the widget into any of your active overlays, or use it as is in OBS
On the rotate It doesn't move from the mug It starts as the mug then doesn't do anything
hmm, I do see that. For now, I recommend not using that one. You can make your own by using the Rotator widget that is there and uploading your own photos. This one has a lot more customization than the regular widget

I noticed there is new merch regarding the t-shirt with more colors, a bit more options and so on. But what happens to the t-shirts that I had before in my shop? Do I need to redo the models again? The prices are also different for the old models?
Any order of which color should be on the thumbnail of the item? I want it to be the black one ..\
Old shirts were strictly front/back and with a previous vendor. New multisided ones are done differently along with different vendor for them.
Certain things may not be available for that reason so if you want more then yes you'll most likely have to redo them.
As far as the centering I believe that is strictly a visual "bug" and not how it will be placed. I'll poke the person that can answer it in a bit.

Correct on the centering. The model is not standing or wearing the shirt perfectly straight, thus it will look off when it really isn't.
As for pricing, we have absorbed all size upcharges so that no matter the size, the price is the same across the board.
There was also a general price increase for all apparel this year, but we tried to pass along as little of that as possible

hey everyone, I'm trying to do a checkout on some items from my merch store, but the paypal popup is closing itself prematurely without confirming my order. I've tried different browsers, incognito mode, waiting 24h and wasn't successful.
weird thing is that I was able to go through the entire process yesterday, minutes before this bug started to happen for me... my first order went through nicely and the second one can't get past the paypal pop up during the checkout.

My Merch Store Received A Order And I Have Email Confirmation About It But It Doesn't Appear In My Merch History. Any Reason Why?
I have seen them reply to a question like this and it was said it is possible that one of the items/color of item in your cart is out of stock. So I'd double check that first, maybe.

As for this, it entirely depends on our vendors. They try to predict trends on sales and purchase ahead, but sometimes stock isn't available to match or the trends are just a bit too jumpy resulting in things going out faster than normal. We are hoping to have something set up for more transparent stock (and where), but it also depends on dev time and if our vendors are able to give us the information

If you are talking about the profit area, yes. These will not show up until they enter production. You should be able to see them immediately in your activity feed and in your Merch History under the Revenue History tab

Hey, Im having some difficulty choosing the correct print dimensions, as there are two differing requirements on the site. On the SE.Merch Print on Demand Design Guidelines page, it lists the T-shirt as 4500 x 5700 pixels, but on the product page in the bottom left it says 313px x 418px.
The mug on the guidelines page is 5371 x 2000 pixels, but on the product page it says 2538px x 945px. having this issue with multiple items. which are the correct ones?
The guidelines are the correct dimensions for the print file, the one you are seeing in the editor is for the preview only

Can you describe the problem? Make sure to include that in your initial message next time so that we can help you faster
When in the editor, you can change the size of the logo as long as it fits in the print region. As for thread colors, those are on the right hand side of the editor. Make sure to select the colors you want, we will only use the colors selected.

Sorry that this happened. The viewer has a ticket with us? If yes, we would need the ticket number so we can find it in the system and resolve it.
In general it is correct that we do not accept returns. The items are printed on demand and not stored, so returning them has additional challenges. But we of course provide replacements or refunds when the merchandise is not how it was ordered or if there is something else wrong with it.

In such cases we need to verify if the item that arrived has the same dimensions as the size chart for this item, this is our standart procedure, that also helps us to find issues with the product in general.

I would also like to add a little something to this more for full understanding.
For a big brand that is selling their product, they normally order a bulk amount of their product and sell through the stock on hand. For them, a return and exchange for a different size is easy, and only costs the two way shipping.
For us, since we serve anyone and everyone, even if they don't have an audience, we can not financially support holding stock of a product that may or may not sell in the future. The reality is that the vast majority wouldn't be. Also, it costs a lot of money each month to store these returned/exchanged products, hence why we don't accept any returns or exchanges. For clarity, this does not mean we don't fix issues. If you get a tshirt that has a slight tear in the seam? We will send out a new one and you keep both (as an example). Since we print on demand, that item with your design on it doesn't get made until your order is placed and paid for, then we pay our vendor, they print/ship the item to the destination.
Because of this, we HIGHLY encourage EVERYONE to use the size chart, no matter if you have ordered tshirts every day for your entire life. Each brand makes up their own size charts with no standard enforced, and that can even vary on the style of apparel inside the brand (For instance, the fitted womens shirt and the relaxed women's shirt. The fitted fits like a child's shirt while the relaxed is more normal for adult humans).
Please please please ask questions if you are confused about any of the above, we want to make sure it is crystal clear. We are not here to scam people out of money, we want to make sure everyone is happy with their purchase, and that starts with making sure they are informed about the items before purchase.
As cryonic said, we will work with the customer to make sure the item they received matches the size chart or not. Occasionally this will happen - When a manufacturer makes 10mil of these things a week, sometimes the wrong size tag gets put on an item. That is covered and a replacement would get sent, free of charge.
Is it normal for the prints to come out off centered?
Do you have a picture of what you mean? It isn't normal, but there is some leeway for some items due to the printing process

Normally after the item has entered production. Sometimes this will take longer than 24 hours depending (out of stock, image adjustment for embroidery, etc).

We have people that use our tools that don't log in for months or years at a time. Once you set things up, there isn't a need for change unless you want to. Again, I do apologize, but without proof, my hands are tied

Yo... I called UPS to figure out where my package is, they said USPS has it.
I looked at the email from SE that contained my tracking number, and it says UPS should have my package... Wtf is going on? 😂
USPS a lot of times does final delivery for UPS
"Final Stretch" as they call it.
The above is correct. UPS/FedEx/DHL/Others find it cheaper to do a "Final Mile" delivery with USPS. It is frustrating, and slower, but it is pretty standard anymore

I have seen some issues recently with USPS and items getting delayed, though only in certain area's.
I have also had a period of maybe 6-10 months where anything I personally had shipped to my house ALWAYS got lost when entering the Vegas center. That was beyond frustrating

Items do not need to be separate, but the color choices need to be activated in the shirt and hoodie.
I have maroon white for hoodie and black white for every shirt and the mug but it wont let me generate a panel

I am planning to buy merch from streamelements. Before buying I want to make sure of something. I live in Lithuania and I want to ask, do I have to pay some taxes (VAT) when I receive the merch?
Yes. This will be paid at checkout. There could also be some Duties/Customs due depending on the items and where they end up shipping from. While we have worked hard to get as many of our items as we can shipping from within the EU, sometimes it is unavoidable to have something ship from outside
So is the merch panel just broken? 
So let me get some things clear. So as you say "This will be paid at checkout." So does that mean I will not receive extra fees after I order (such as VAT)? When I will pay for my merch + shipping fee there will be no more extra fees?
I asked the same question on the streamers (the one I want to get merch from) discord and the mods assured me that there are no VAT/extra fees.
Yes, EU VAT is charged at checkout (required by law), just like Sales Tax in the USA. I recommend passing this on to the creator as this is spelled out in our FAQ that we provide for them

The price you are paying is the best possible shipping price we are able to get for the items. Some items have to ship separately for safety, or some have to ship from other area's of the world (depending). Plus, shipping rates are normally calculated based on weight and dimensions of the packages, so as you add more things, the price will go up no matter what

Do not follow the mockup as a centering guide, remember the mockup is as if it is on a person, so the shirt will appear weird. Assume that the box provided is centered already

Hello there! I broke my merch shop. I created and submitted a new item, then deleted two unpublished items, and the whole thing broke. It hangs at about 60% on the dashboard side, and the shop is totally unavailable on the user side. It's been about an hour now and it's still doing it, soooo now I am here.
I have tried deleting cache and reloading, logging out and back in, and restarting my browser. So far, nothing has worked.

Hello! What region of the world are you in?
Go to the SE.Merch dashboard, load up one of your items in the editor, then open the files menu. There will be a page for all files you have in your account for merch. From there, you can remove all that you don't want anymore and upload new. However you will still need to go through and remake any items you want to be different. Removing images from there does not stop a product from being made with the image that has been saved.

Hi guys, got an issue with the merch designer.
Its stuck on the loading screen for ages
Been a good 10 min but it hasn't timed out.
Steps to reproduce.
- Click create new item
- Select Deskmat
- Click add new [layer]
- Select image file
- Click next.
- Save
The image file is in the recommended resolution saved as webp, 12.3MB. I've attacked it zipped incase discord messes with its compression.
I can make an image using smaller webp files or png so I'm wondering if this should error out but isn't doing. I've tried firefox and chrome.

I'd like to choose a user and give them an item from the merch store (it will be based upon them redeeming certain channel points). Is this possible? I'd like to avoid shipping items myself, as I don't want to see user's addresses.

As of right now, we do not have a way to do this without you receiving the users information first. We have a plan for it, just not sure when it will be implemented

Couple suggestions
- Move important parts of the image away from the edge. The edges will be cut off, and you will want to make sure the pad fills the entirety of the design area we provide, or else there could be white lines on the pad.
- The amount of detail on here is... a lot. On a ceramic product like a mug, it would easily be visible. On a fabric product, it is reduced due to the weave. I would recommend reducing the amount of detail on this, it would reduce the size of the file and help with your goal here.

I am having the same issue that BIgMonD is having expect on the XXL mousepad when trying to do big images that covers majority of the mousepad if i shrink the image down to like be right smack in the middle it saves the item just fine, but I am wanting to make the image take up the majority of the xxl mousepad if the image is small it saves but if it is big it wont save and it gets stuck on the loading screen

This order was placed back on Sept 12th, and was delivered on the 15th (I will DM you the tracking). We are only able to cancel orders when a ticket is sent in within 18 hours of placing the order. This is because all items are made to order, so once it hits production we can no longer use the blanks for something else. We do not hold any stock on printed items either, as that would greatly inflate costs. As for escalating to PayPal, that removes my ability to assist here. Normally, what I would be able to do is verify you didn't receive the item (for whatever reason) and get a replacement shipped back out to you. However, with the paypal dispute, we have to resolve that before I can do anything else.

I've had a community member purchase an item in my mech store and when going to pay was auto filled someone else's address and contact details appeared in their address info section instead of their own address and information that's a major privacy breach and needs to be addressed, what do you plan on doing about this @coral latch?
Can you message me with screenshots of this and the link they would have clicked to get there? It is a VERY rare chance of this happening, and I have not been able to replicate it in the past.
Right now, the ONLY way that I know of this happening is when a link is shared that is more than the standard store link (meaning a bunch of stuff after the "?" in the URL). This link is designed to save information, that was the reason it was created
more specifically, it was designed for Buy your own Merch links, which expire after 72 hours, however since it is a specific "cart" that is generated, the information is saved if someone put info into it and saved it. This is why you should always double check the links you share and remove anything after the "?", unless you 100% mean to share extras (any website ever)

I'm trying to make a mug design, on preview it is ok but at the store it looks strange!
I repeated the illustration on the design so it is on both sides of the mug. Had made it before with other product but I'm having problem today with this one.
The 3D preview will show you exactly how the mug will be printed when received by the customer and the store image is incorrect at this time. You can feel free to upload your own image to correct it, and these can be screenshots of the 3D preview if you would prefer. Hope that helps!

Hello I have encountered an issue with receiving my payment for se.merch. when I withdrew it my account had not setup payment yet so now that I have set it up will it just eventually arrive or is there something else I have to do?
Does anyone know if a community discount in the merch store takes the discount from the price of the merch itself, or does it discount based on the profit you make off the merch? IE: if a product is $50 and a community discount of 10% is added, would the discount come to $5, or would the discount be 10% off whatever the streamers profit would be, which in this case the profit is about $12 so the discount would be $1.20 to the person buying the merch
It may take 9-14 business days to arrive in the newly setup payment account, but it should reattempt the withdraw with the new information provided.

So for some reason my Valentine's and Christmas merch is back on my store... I have nothing against this, as I did like it quite a bit, but I just would like to make sure that this apparent glitch, should someone buy it, would not result in the merch items coming blank or something of the like.

I've read the article, however it doesn't explicitly state where the discount is being calculated from originally. A 10% discount from a $50 item doesn't equal $5 off for the buyer, but rather closer to $2, which is technically a 4% discount. So that would lead me to assume that an advertised 10% discount isn't coming from the cost of the item, but rather the profit of the streamer correct?
The discount is coming out of the profit amount of the creator, as noted in the second paragraph on the page provided.

I guess it's just the wording that's throwing me because it says that the discount is automatically applied, and THEN it's being taken out of the profit. So when a creator advertises a 10% discount off their merch to their community for being subbed, the subscriber isn't actually getting a 10% discount off of their items. Does that make sense? I swear I'm not trying to be difficult, I just know people are confused as to why they aren't receiving an advertised 10% discount from their purchases.
I am seeing the merch up there again, would you be able to list the names of the ones that appeared recently and any that show no logo when trying to edit? - You can also delete these items if you prefer - If they refuse to delete, please let me know and I can reach out to our devs and see what happened here.
You may be able to understand how the discount works specifically when going into the Settings sections of SE.Merch and selecting enable supporter discount toward the bottom. As you change the amount of the discount, the system will show you the amount the item will cost the community when purchasing (depending on their subscription tier) and the amount of profit you will receive.
They don't seem namable and as such have some very basic ones ("zandercraftgames's Hoodie", "zandercraftgames's Mug" - the Christmas one, "zandercraftgames's Mug" - valentines one , and "zandercraftgames's Mug" - the other Valentine's one).
I personally like the Christmas design (it was from when the Christmas bundle promotion went on) and it had gone away after the promotion ended. I would like to keep it if possible. I just want to make sure that it won't come as a blank hoodie with the reason for it being on the store in question as well as the questionable issue with the editor.
As far as I can tell only the hoodie doesn't have an image showing when going into the editor at this time, but I'll check again.
It may be just the hoodie (I didn't check the mugs), but that does cause concern for me with regard to the system actually having the proper design should someone buy it.
I bought it when the original bundle promotion happened and everything was fine, but now that it disappeared for a while and now has re-appeared with a blank editor when opened is what concerns me.
Previews on the store page itself seem fine, just nothing being in the editor makes me wonder at whether the system has the proper data or is just using old preview images.
I definitely understand, it definitely may be a bug, and I can certainly bring this up to our devs to see why they appeared and what is going on here for you. I do see the images on the items myself so far, however it may be that it is pulling from older items we may no longer sell via our vendor as well. I'll let the devs know and get back to you on that.

Hello everyone, I'm designing my merch, and I have a few questions.
I wanted to know if it was normal to have only one background color for mousepads, while others are available for deskmats? And if so, would you recommend me to put a background color on my image in order to have it on my design?
The second question I was wondering is, is it possible to group certain designs? For example, I have a Snapback design in red, and the other in blue, so I have put a red logo for the red and a blue logo for the blue, but I am forced to have 2 products in the shop. Isn't it possible (a little bit like for the background color choices) to create a single product with a different logo depending on the color choice ?

Hello! There is no way to remove embroidery, the item is only available in Embroidery.
- This was how the products were originally designed. I recommend putting the background color you want into the design for the small mousepad.
- Right now, the way you did it is the only option. We do appreciate the feedback though, we use this when figuring out what features our creators want.

Hello! I have a question on the Mousepad aspect of the merchandise. I'm trying to have an image cover the entire mousepad. I'm assuming the corners would be cropped out and rounded? Or would it completely warp my image and shrink it down to proper size to fit within the mousepad boarders?

Could you please clarify for me the issues you are seeing when creating embroidered merch? If you only choose one thread color the whole design will be that one thread color.

In order to generate new panels, you need to have these items and color choices active:
- White + black shirt
- White + red hoodie
- Mug
Items do not need to be separate, however, the color choices need to be activated in the shirt and hoodie.

Just purchased my own merch from the discounted section. While I submitted my payment information my total after shipping was $14 - but after I clicked submit the receipt showed a price of 20$, and that the discounted item was no longer discounted.

After you have finished the setup process, the next step would be receiving an email upon payment submission (this is where the 21 business days estimation comes in).
The payment status you will see in the portal itself will be 'Submitted'. A few days after that, the status should be changed to 'Paid'.
Once you see it's paid, depending on the payout method selected, it will take a few more business days till full processing.

Unfortunately we have no information in case products are back in stock. The best bet would be to bring the item back and check if it can be ordered.
I ordered two sizes before like two months ago. But they were out of stock and it still allowed me to order them even if it was out of stock. So I have the hoodie up since I know XL-3X is in stock from last time someone helping me. I just needed to know if all the sizes are back in stock before I made an announcement to my community. Bc then people will be ordering the hoodie and if it’s out of stock then it will only cause problems since they have to go through help desk to refund the hoodie
Unfortunately we have no way to look up which items are in stock and the quantity or specific sizes.

We get a notification when the item is out of stock, but due to the global nature of the system and multiple warehouses - we have no information if a specific item is in stock with the specific color and size.
Okay, I’ll just remove the color then. Because I don’t want ppl ordering it then Have to go through customer service everytime to cancel it. Just causes more problems and headache.
Usually the items return back to stock in a couple of weeks on average.

I've got a bug report. Every imagine I upload to the merch store is just renamed "Graphics.png", which makes it difficult to tell them apart. It's ignoring the original file name.

And it uses the same payment portal as sponsorship payouts, if this is set up - you need to wait
Once the payment is scheduled, it will be visible in the payment portal with a scheduled date.
I think I missed an announcement somewhere a while back
I had two hoodies in my shop, when they announced being able to design the backs and sleeves, I decided to put a new design out. However - I see that the image is completely different for hoodies now. Has the hoodie style changed? When I go to edit my old designs, the back/sleeve options are not available and neither are the new color options. There's also no way to design a new hoodie with the old look...
I guess my question is - are the hoodies the exact same in regards to shape/material/length/width/etc or are the hoodies now different than the original ones?

I am using Chrome, and tried Edge too. After struggling with it, it finally works. However, the number of different images labelled as graphics.png also flooded my library.
The workaround I tried, keep retrying. And tapping other submenu and SeMerch.
Nowhere under The help page on the stream elements website is there a place to put in a ticket no where on the page that you give me there with the link is there a place to put on a ticket. So without any help I'm still right where I was.

hi, I have made a merch store last week and I have already sold a few items, I know for a fact because I got an announcement during the stream and I have a few friends that told me that they got something from it. The last purchase was 3 days ago, yet in the store payments page I still have no revenue made. How long does it take for the sales to show? I apologize for the confusion.
With our new system, the confirmation email is sent once we confirm payment is authorized. After that, we attempt to send the information for the order to our vendor. So in this instance, we authorized your payment and sent the confirmation email. What happened next is that there was a failure with our vendor to be able to take the order, due to some stock issues or the payment was not confirmed.
Because of this, the payment was never finalized, and the authorization expires (normally within 3-5 business days).
TL;DR: The customer did not pay, and the order will not go through.
They will have to check with their bank/ PayPal for the funds if it doesn't show up for them.

Yes they would have to re-order. The funds might be on-hold by the bank, so it's better to contact them if the funds are not available after the 5 business days since placing the order.

Some people are asking for payment options aside from PayPal for US debit cards. Wondering what you might be able to offer? Or, if there is one and we’re just missing it?
One item for tech team on the merch side - the hoodies aren’t always showing properly in the merch store. Some colors will present properly, but not all.
Ah you have the same issue I had. It took me so long to get it right. Seems the workaround for now is redoing the whole thing 😦 I tried different browsers and clearing cache too. It seems to happen randomly to any item that allows back printing.

Able to see two shirts as noted as ordered on your Merch history as of today (sometimes the update can take a bit longer than 24 hours depending on any holds or quality checks the order may go through before being produced)

Hi, I have been trying to create a desk mat.
I keep getting stuck on the loading screen when hitting next. I've left it for 4 hours today. No error messages, it just doesn't progress. I can only get it work with very simple images. With anything with an actual pattern on it it fails, I've tried reducing the image resolution but then it won't let me processed because the image is too low quality.

Hi I'm trying to edit merch but when I add my logo to the merch even though there is no background to my image stream elements pops in a large rectangular shape around my logo with a Grey or white background. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and how can it be resolved?

I ordered $300 worth of my merch. It’s the second or third time I’ve done this. I’m in canada. I’ve never had to pay duty before. Now I’m getting hit for $85 in duty fees. You don’t mention duty at all and I’ve had this merch store for almost 2yrs and never paid duty before. What gives? What’s with this secret charge? I wasn’t prepared for it and now I’m caught having to pay more for this. Please advise.

Might I make the suggestion of removing the verbage "order samples" from S.E. Merch? That's a bit misleading.
It would be immensely helpful though to have the ability to order a limited amount of samples like 2 or something, so we can see the actual quality of the print and material of the clothing/item in person.
I have a small question about the merch stores. My merch store is set on the YT side of my account, but on the Twitch side of my account the merch store shows inactive and not setup. Are the two not connected?

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?
More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:
- Merging accounts allows for faster ways to switch between accounts
- Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
- Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events
If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and fill out the form here: http://streamelements.com/contact with each token correctly labelled

so basically when you upload an item sometimes the preview image comes out like this and you can't see what it looks like. very annoying because you have to republish it until it fixes AND you have to change the price every time you edit it because it resets it for whatever reason (Keeps the name tho)

You can also choose to upload your own custom image for some of the merch if you prefer, and our apologies for any inconvenience you had when attempting to get it to work.

Yeah, figured this out after I posted. Confused me initially as other sites allow 4 colour choices on the same clothing listing rather than duplicating. Are there plans to remove the option of x4 colour choices on items that can't have them applied as it gives the impression they'll be added?
