If you are attempting to stream to one streaming platform, but SE.Live is attempting to stream to another, please try the following:

Navigate to StreamElements menu, on top of OBS > Logout > Login

After you have logged back in navigate to File > Settings > Stream > Disconnect > Reconnect

I think the worst part of these issues are that we can't even login to access our overlays, so we literally have to start from scratch when we switch to a platform that actually supports FB Gaming at this point. Is there a reason you guys can't reach out to literally any other platform devs that clearly already know how to implement the new page experience and get some insight on how to make it work?

Hey everyone it’s been over 2 months and I still can’t access my stream elements dashboard. I use Facebookgaming to stream and every time I try to log in I get logged out from stream elements. I’m unable to change my overlay or see who likes my stream. Please help!

@latent parcel the only solution you'll hear in this channel is "revert to the old page experience" which will kill your page reach and delete any content you've created using the new page experience (which is crazy to still call "new" since it's quickly becoming the mandatory page experience).

I found a way to get logged in today. If you have a Twitch and have ever linked the accounts together (I have my YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, and 2 other FB pages all linked so I can move overlays and switch between different platforms) then you can login with the Twitch login then switch to the FB StreamElements dashboard. It worked for me earlier

@spare rivet it was an option on the top right hand corner. I did it years ago when SE wasn’t broken, so idk if it’ll still work or not. But in the top right hand corner of the dashboard, you can click your account name and then there was an option to switch to a different profile. I just added them there and it worked

Known issue @sweet wadi. There’s no real solutions here outside reverting your page back from the new page experience to the old page, which severely limits your reach and deletes all old content created on the new page experience, so it’s not really advised.

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts allows for faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and fill out the form here: http://streamelements.com/contact with each token correctly labelled

They said its a known issue and is being worked on. It's a problem with the new page experience on FB. Hopefully it will be cleared soon or I'll be forced to get back on Streamlabs, and I really don't want to do that lol. OBS is much better but not being able to login via FB is very annoying, I can't login to change any of my stream labels, goals, etc.... I'm not swapping back to classic pages as it deletes every post on the page since you swapped to the new page.

Not really wanting to search through years of chat to find my answer and all the Google answers are pre 28 update. Having an issue when trying to stream to Facebook. Says can't connect to server.   1. in regards to the chat dock issue, our devs have found a bigger issue related with login and are actively working on it.
  2. in regards to the elgato and other studio issues, if you're having an issue, i recommend asking in the discord server for assistance with this issue. Try uninstalling SE.live and see if you still have the same issue and if you do, the OBS discord will help.

These issues are actively being investigated and we hope to have them resolved in the near future.

Facebook is going to force all pages to migrate to the new pages experience starting on November 1st it seems, is StreamElements going to be fixed in time for that? Users should be notified in case they have to temporarily use another method for streaming.

This has been an issue for a year. 365 days without a fix, solution, or communication as to what actions are being taken. FB is a viable streaming platform just like Twitch and YT. Why are we being treated second rate? Stop giving us the same canned response. Actually act like you care about the people who use your service and pay you with ad revenue.

Hi, when i try to log into se.live with my facebook account it first says my account is linked, then opens a stream elements page with the option to log in again, when I do this it gives me the error that most are getting above. I ended up having to revert to a older version when I updated and found out about this issue. I rolled my comp back a day since I could not find the older version online. After I did the update. Once I rolled back everything worked fine except for my chat doc

We're not able to troubleshoot issues with using our overlays in Streamlabs Desktop as we don't have the tools to support their software. We recommend using OBS Studio or OBS Studio with our plugin SE.Live.

To be honest with you guys SE has been "working" this issue for some time now (over 5 months) and still no validate patch or solution. My suggestion to you guys as a facebook streamer myself (tattydaddy) is to bit the bullet and go with Streamlabs. I have had no issues with it and only a 3 second delay. I use the SE alerts and use Streamlabs as my streaming software

Swapping back to classic pages does work, but be aware that every post you've made on your profile under the new page experience will be deleted.

Nope, if you are on the new page experience in Facebook you can't. You can swap back to the old page experience and it will let you log in, but you will lose all posts on your feed that you posted since you joined the new page experience.

I'm sorry man, asking us to do pro-bono testing that your development team should be doing before releasing any code is a little ridiculous.

I've gotten tired of waiting for fixes that never happen. Facebook streamers are ignored here.

I've switched to Streamlabs and everything is working perfectly without any issues. I suggest everyone else pull that band aid and make the change instead of waiting for "fixes" that never happen.

So are we ever going to get a fix for the chat dialogue box not working?? I can't even remember how many months it has been now and it still doesn't work in stream elements I have to click on the facebook icon where the chat widget is and then load my facebook feed and watch my own stream to view my live chat there. It get super annoying and the benefits of the stream element over streamlabs was the cpu usage but the lack of resolution on what should have been patched maybe a few weeks after being discovered is kind of ridiculous at this point.

I was able to fix the facebook issue by deleting the business account associated with my facebook page. The steps to follow are complicated, but within 24 hours of deleting your account, you can log into your account with stream elements.

My streaming account is under my personal account and I have one business account also under my personal account but removing or changing this structure is not an option for me to use Stream elements! But I like stream elements and would like to continue to use it. There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

@everyone guys the only way to fix the issue for streamelements at the time being is running classic pages

if you are running the new page display you will have to use streamlabs

#

keep in mind if you run classic pages, the stream will work however the chat will not. So you will need to use your FB producer page in order to see chat. However I will say even though its an inconvenience, stream elements is way better then labs resource wise. If you need help switching to classic go to your page you will see the ... in the top right and you will select switch to classic view

this is not it unfortunately. What I downloaded was just a folder with the bot portable. Just that, which was executed and I had the bot's options, and soon after I left it in the background. I downloaded a few months ago.

SO for those that are getting error messages when trying to use the stream elements on your FB through OBS, add another account as owner of your page and then sign into stream elements through that account and there you should be able to add to your obs. I couldnt have a stream boss or hype boss for last 5 month's cause of this error and I did what i said to do above and it worked

Im having the same issue where it can't retrieve my page info. I'm the owner and Admin for my page. (It's a business page) I'd love to know an actual fix for this because even if it does work, I'm not interested in adding another page just to give it access. It's getting to be a tad ridiculous with the Facebook issue. We keep getting the same generic response from admins in here. SE is losing people left and right because this issue has gone on for so long. The only fix right now is to switch your page back to "classic", which erases every post you have on your page since you swapped to the new page experience.

i found a workaround., it sucks but it works. Either create a throw away fb account or use a SO's account that isnt connected to your New Page (not classic). Invite them to be a manager, and give them full access. Then come back to streamelements and log in as the throw away or your significant other. I have Twitch and Youtube both under my account, but to do anything on facebook i have to log into the streamelements site not as THE OWNER of the facebook page, but an authorized manager of the facebook page... AKA my wifes facebook instead. Super annoying, but it works. Maybe one day you can merge all this crap together for me.

Gzus guys, still this page experience happening. For those who can't activate the alerts, you will need to change for the old experience and try to log in with facebook method.

it will give the "Error Executing flow" but your alerts should works again in obs, so to enter in your SE dashboard you will need to log in through the YT method, and finally acess you dashboard

Guys, I managed to solve it in my case, I put another profile as the page administrator, if you notice, inside the page you are probably not an administrator. I took my wife's profile, gave full permission to the page and enabled her profile in my browser, after I logged off normally in streamelems. For some reason on facebook my email was not as admin. sorted out

1 - First you need to check if your profile is as an administrator of the page, even if you have access to managing the page, you are not an administrator

2 - You will need to add another profile to your page as a full administrator, after which you will access your page with this new account and add your profile again as an administrator.

This solved my problem, and some META update for our page. For some reason my admin profile was buggy.

If you want to analyze what happened, you can check in page management history

In my case, the administrator of my profile was removed, that's why I wasn't entering streamelems, because I didn't have anyone as an administrator

Hi guys, does anyone know how to fix this thing? The page I'm trying to use StreamElements on is a fb page of a client of mine but I have full management access on it. Any ideas?

I have found a fix and it’s AMAZING!

Create a new profile on Facebook or use your partners if you have one.

Give this profile admin access with full control.

Next log into that account and give your own personal profile admin access with full control

Then remove the other access on the other account

Bam you are back!

I found the issue was, the new page experience did not have an account set up as an admin, whilst it was linked with my profile it wasn’t an “admin”

I have posted a good fix above, will try and do a video for everyone as this is the best solution whilst we have no response from StreamElements.

Hi guys, does anyone know how to solve this? It's not finding my profile just the page I do live on facebook, if you from streamelements don't solve this problem quickly I'll give a vim, and move to streamlabs there will be a better option

this is my best opinion of streamelements,
you have to update the silver form as soon as possible,
because the signal will lose to streamlabs that is working normally

@dim saffron correct as they do not allow them ATM (At least from when I last read in the last year)
