I talked to Facebook Support and they said that there is no longer any possibility of going back to the classic model, and that within a few months, the new page experience will be standard and mandatory for everyone. They mentioned that they can't do anything about logging into StreamElements, which is the site itself that needs to overhaul the integration with the new model. It's a shame as I'm going to have to stop using StreamElements due to this issue.

Hello, I ask also here help, i need an info.
I've logged for first with my facebook page, and after I've added my YouTube account. Streamelements has created separate accounts, but when I'm on obs, seems se.live see only facebook account connected, so I have only alerts for it (not subscriber alerts) and if I click go live, it show only option for facebook. With a plugin seems I can do multi streaming at same time, but not sure if eventually alerts will show up....some help?

OK, so eventually I should create overlays in separated accounts, create 2 separated browser sources inside obs and use the plugin for multi streaming. I suppose in this manner on streaming screen alerts will show up?

Yes but in the event you get alerts from.both platforms at the same time it won't look/sound nice.

@quiet lagoon I've putted alert boxes in specific zones. And from test it show alerts only one at time, I've tried to click different times simulation buttons. Seems work, but should do a try to be sure work well.

Doesn't matter where you put them. If both platforms have an alert go off at the exact or near exact same time they'll show/sound off together.

I have a question about when I hit the start streaming button on OBS for FB, beforehand when I hit the button a pop up window would come up for the title of the stream and what game I'm playing and after I did that the stream would start and I wouldn't have to touch FB at all. Recently OBS crashed on me mid stream and when I got it running again and started to stream the same pop up window doesn't show up at all. Personally I don't want to go through the hassle of doing the other half on FB. I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem before but I would appreciate the help.

When I log in with my streamiing page, it refreshes me and brings me back to the Log In.

While if I do it with another page of mine, it makes me log in quietly.

Hello, has anyone come across the issue where their webcam stopped working on OBS? It's definitely not the webcam, as I can open it with Logitech G Hub and it works fine there.

As soon as I open OBS my webcam does not show up, when I activate/deactivate the webcam, the light flashes then goes off.

Alright so, after a couple days of having switched to the classic pages on Facebook, I have successfully logged in to Stream Elements with my Facebook page.

For anyone wanting to fix this issue just follow the steps in the message linked below. But BEWARE your page might be disabled for a couple days, it will show up as "Content Not Available" to any visitors (even yourself).

Had this issue for about 4 weeks now, most, if not all of my likes, shares and follows do not show up through SE.live since my page blew up one stream with over 500 likes and shares. Chat also does not work period. Any insite on this would be appreciated, I would prefer not to have to uninstall and reinstall as its a huge pain to reconfigure things like my 3rd party transitions and mic balancing

I'm starting too think stream elements has given up with Facebook... There hasn't been a working chat feature in god knows how long now, activity feed no longer works and that's been down for a wile and we still cant login to anything... I mean seriously either Stream elements needs too give us all an in depth detail of why nothing for Facebook is working with there program or they should probably consider removing the Facebook logo from there website since It honestly doesn't seem like they support it anymore. Not trying to be rude or come off like an asshole but what's the point of trying too use stream elements when non of the features for Facebook is even working or has been working for a very long time... I understand if there are coding issues and API issue with Facebook but the fact no one has had any real update as too why this all isn't working is kind of bogus.. instead of saying the devs are working on it over and over again why not tell the community that's trying too support you know exactly why non of this stuff is being fixed. Right now, whenever I click "Start Streaming" on OBS, it makes me go to Facebook to start the stream rather than giving me the option to "Go Live" in OBS. I think it might have something to do with Stream Elements not connecting to OBS, but I'm really not sure. That is a workaround that has worked for many users who have had this issue. I don't know why some are able to use the new experience with no issue, maybe they haven't tried relogging or it's something else, but once users have updated to the new FB Page experience, integration can (keyword CAN) be lost. For those that lose it, we recommend reverting and they regain the ability to login. I understand the hesitation, but this has been a workaround for this issue for a bit of time.

Our devs are still working on implementing the full experience, but at this time it is not working.

Hello. This might be a controversial question but is there an alternative to stream elements. I switch to this from SLOBS cause I didn't like how there were doing business. And while I enjoyed stream elements in the beginning I stream on Facebook and I means it pretty evident they don't really care for Facebook as a streaming platform in my opinion. I haven't been able to see chat in iono 6 months and now I can't even log into stream elements because I switched to the new Facebook page experience. I know they saw switching back to classic fixes that, but I just don't think I should have to do that. With that being said I am looking for an alternative until all these issues are fixed on the Facebook side of things

Yeah. I'm getting pretty impatient with this. I've had to swap everything over to SL. FB automatically switched me twice. I lost all of my updates from this. I understand there are limited things the devs can do, but I find it strange that other services have not had any issues with the NPE. I still think SE is way better, it's just unfortunate that they either cannot or will not fix this issue.

In Google Chrome on the far right at the top there's three dots. Click that and click "new private browsing tab" or something similar to that.

Can we get some type of update on what’s going on with the Facebook login issue? I’ve been guaranteed by Facebook that the switch to the new page experience is happening to all users. The goal is to have everyone switched to the NPE within the next month. Switching back to classic is a temporary solution. Is this something that we should expect long term or is the fix coming soon, say a month or less?

Okay so once again I am having an issue with stream elements and or obs. I just installed the new update. The first issue I ran into was that I couldn't even log into stream elements because my Facebook page was updated to the new experience. I already knew the fix for that and even thoigh I don't think I should have to do that I reverted back to the classic page. Now when I open obs it ask me to log in on my platform. I click Facebook hit continue as my name and when it opens up the browser it's just a blank page and when I go back to OBS the loading icon never stops spinning. I have tried to continue without logging in and it won't do anything at all. I'm finally frustrated at this point

That's why I think that going back to the classic version is not a solution because those of us who make content hurt us because all the publications in the current version will be deleted, also as the other brother said that in a few months everyone would return yes or yes to the version current. Have had to migrate back to StreamLabs. Ongoing and worsening problems over the last two+ months. First the plugin stopped working with OBS, then it wouldn't allow me to sign in OBS, then it wouldn't allow me to sign in on the website, and now no alerts/labels/anything are working. Unfortunate that I've had to switch back, StreamElements was the far superior product.

If an install of OBS already exist, please install over the existing OBS installation.

If someone has problems entering the streamelements website and at the time of logging in with their facebook account it keeps asking them to log in, the solution is that you have a secondary account that is the administrator of your page, or you create another facebook account and you make it the administrator of your page, then you go to the commercial page and unlink your previous account with streamelements and then you go to the streamelements website, you log in with your created account that you already made it administrator of your page where you transmit or whatever and you log in and you will see that it will enter without any problem and all your overlays or alerts that you made will still be there. No problem

Hey everyone. It's obvious that SE can't or isn't bothering to fix the issues concerning Facebook streaming. 6+ months is beyond acceptable. Your best bet is to just remove the plug-in and use regular OBS Studio like I have. You can still use SE alerts and overlays without the plug-in. Then just keep your live producer on your 2nd or 3rd monitor.

There is no easy way to unlink 2 owner-type accounts from each other. The only way is to make a closure request from here: https://streamelements.com/dashboard/account/security

WARNING: In submitting a closure request, all linked channels within the account will be deleted and you will lose all associated data. This includes overlays, custom commands, timers and past data (tips, subs, etc). You can still reconnect with the deleted account, but you are essentially starting fresh.

Hey guys I was having the same issues. Not being able to login to stream elements with Facebook. It would just take me back to the home page. There was a video someone posted to revert your fb gaming page back to the original page. So I reverted my page back. Once I did that I then signed into stream elements. And it worked. I went back to fb and upgraded my page back to the new experience and it’s been working ever since. I think the chat option doesn’t work all the time but the alerts are. Hope this helps

Cannot connect to Facebook streaming account, and when I try to login to my streamelements account it just loops back to the login page. Please help

Any idea what this issue is? Everything was fine and I got d/c last night. Whether through OBS or Streamlabs I keep getting a “streaming error: could not access specified channel or stream key” message. All happened when SE glitched on me yesterday.

I don't know much about Facebook. Did you get switched to the new page experience? You may have to switch back to get it to work.

Anyone figure out a fix for us users who are locked into new user experiance? And dont have the option to go to classic? All new pages are automatically made new user experiance and there getting rid of classic soon anyhow

I believe you can fix this by reverting to the old page experience in Facebook. If you really need to do the editing now, you can do that. However, Facebook should have a fix deployed before that Page Experience gets replaced by the new one. 🤣

I may also be mistaken as StreamElements should be looking into it as well.

To add your overlays to OBS, add a new browser source in your scene. Paste your overlay URL in the browser source properties, set the dimensions to 1920x1080 (unless you changed them on the website) and check Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active, as shown in this GIF: https://imgur.com/a/2JhJD0S

Did you get a "Channel already claimed" message?

More than likely your accounts need to be merged! - Please note:

  • Merging accounts allows for faster ways to switch between accounts
  • Merging accounts allows duplicating/sharing overlays between the accounts
  • Merging accounts does not allow data sharing between accounts - different streaming platforms, different type of events

If you understand the limitations of merging and want to proceed, please find the JWT tokens (!jwt) from both accounts you want to merge and fill out the form here: http://streamelements.com/contact with each token correctly labelled

@somber moat That is correct, the only work around we have at this time for the new page experience is to switch back to the old page experience. Our devs are working on a fix for this issue.
