I'm having a similar issue in that the default alerts only show on the mobile app when i test them within the app.
When you say "check variations" do you mean the variations on the "default" alerts or the variations on my new custom ones?
I have deleted the defualt alert box but it is still showing them on the mobile app and not my own custom alerts.

you can do media request yes, but you need to have a specific setup for this:

  • PC where Media Request page is open and the "Show On Stream" button is clicked - PC needs to be turned on always
  • Mobile overlay to have the media request widget in it
  • alternatively you can open the media request page on your phone, but the browser app needs to be on in the background in order for "show on stream" button to be working correctly

Hi Helpdesk, I've been trying to get a custom overlay for StreamElements Mobile on Android (version 2.0.3). I've tried modifying the Mobile overlay and left the name as is, but when I check Audience View its just the default purple wave one. I've Clear app cache and data, and restarted my phone. Is it possible to have a Custom overlay?

You are not meant to see the overlay your self and the audience view only shows the position of the alert widget based on the default positions of the overlay that gets created

Anything within that overlay will appear on your stream when you stream from the phone. You will not see it on your phone though but your viewers will.

right now we've had issues with alerts and events, this should be fixed in a few minutes
but regardless, for mobile, you don't need to create an overlay as one is created for you when you log in via mobile

so delete the overlay you created if you did, then delete the app's cache, uninstall it, install it again, log in, and in the SE dashboard you should see a new mobile overlay

Afaik you should not be able to see the alerts on your screen in the mobile App. Only the Activity Feed lists them. This is how alerts are handled and processed via mobile.

The chat widget usually requires the overaly to be loaded in its proper resolution. If the overlay is set to 1920x1080 resolution, then the app needs to load the overlay as 1920x1080

Hell y'all, anyone have a quick answer on the best bitrate to use for mobile streaming? I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, unlimited data, but I feel like the stream struggles around 6k kbps. I was gonna try setting it to 4k and seeing if that helped with connection.

6k at 1080 is generally not the best idea unless you're on wifi with sick AF speeds. Otherwise 720p would be best bet for 6k.

It's impossible to stream with pictures on Streamelements app. Have restarted the phone after restarted the wifi. Still the same problem. The last time by 4G. Black screen without sound too... About 230 kbps on wifi, but the signal was 100 % and Speedtest measured about 10 mbps upload

The channel that I have been attempting to stream to was originally named The Hobo Strikes Back. I changed the name of the channel back in 2016. The channel name is now Jimi The Hobo Live. So I was able to add an account that I have never used before with Stream Elements. After adding that YouTube account I was able to add the account that I do want to use with Stream Elements. Everything was looking good. My user name on both the website and within the mobile app changed to Jimi The Hobo Live. But when I click to go live I get the same exact error message "Error! YouTube Token issues. Unable to connect to YouTube." Does Stream Elements have a tier 2 or dev department we can escalate this situation to?

Select the correct Youtube/Google account first then remove StreamElements from that list - this will drop the connection you have from Google/YT to our service, a new login will refresh the connection

mmm for 1080p video at 60fps the bitrate range needed is 4,500 to 9,000 kbps. let's say you're streaming on 5000kbps
5mb\s * 60sec is 300mb\1min
300mb * 30mins is 9000mb which is roughly 9GB
it's possible that 12GB plan will let you stream less than 1 hour on 1080p60fps
but that's like a very rough estimation since the bitrate fluctuates and other things come into play here

So last night we went to go live using the SE app. On our Samsung phone. Said we were live, but none of our viewers got notifications. Tried it 3 times...still nothing. Is there something we're missing? Put our stream key in chose our server..thats pretty much it..right? And there are no videos or anything on how to set up the SE app. Someone out there should make one. Anyway...any ideas why it didn't work?

Google Chrome app, WebView and Streamelements app updated, clear cache of Streamelements app, restart smartphone. The issue didn't resolve.

Interesting, if Streamelements app is running (starting) with vertical mode, all functions work OK. After that if switch phone to the landscape mode, all functions work OK as well.

But after that if I use Advanced setting -> Companion mode and return back the issue appears again (see photos above).

I believe Prism limits you to 5 sources/widget so consolidate so you don't surpass it.

better to use the website on a PC via Chrome since it's optimized for it. other browsers usually show unexpected behavior (so does mobile management of the account)

the bot cannot be invited with a command, it needs to be done via your SE dashboard

what you need to type in your chat after inviting to bot in, is /mod StreamElements
the button prompts you to click the button if you're lazy to type this command
